Blanca,
It seems that in most religions, followers just rely so much on faith, that is, faith in God, and in their hopes to either be saved or rewarded.
Not so in Gwendolynism. Gwendolynists seem to be more sure. They don't just believe in the existence of God, for instance. They know that there is God, that He exists, that is. In other words, they depend upon what they know, or the knowledge inculcated in them as facts. For instance, they would never say that they have faith in God rewarding them in heaven for being good. Instead, they would positively speak their minds and say that God will reward them in heaven. They are not moved by faith. They are moved by actual knowledge. They don't just believe. They know. It is this knowledge of facts that bond them with God and have a steady relation with Him.
Now, why are they so sure that their knowledge is true and it is not just faith that motivates them into saying what is in their heart and soul? It's probably because of the trust they have in the innocent country girl, Gwendolyn, and her guardian angel, Pristine. Also, because perhaps what they derive from their book, the LGB, gives them the satisfaction and contentment they long for in life, including the knowledge
that God is just. They know that they shall go to heaven after death, because for one thing, their group which is a mutual admiration society, does not just accept everyone in order to make its congregation big. It does not accept known sinners or known criminals into their fold. They don't care if their membership is small, just as long as they are exclusively a group of virtuous people, they are satisfied. Their objective is to create a society composed of good people only. They love and worship God. And they pray. They like doing kindness by reaching out to those that need help. But what they won't ever do is to impose their religion to others. They do their best to be role models in society, but are not inclined into helping save souls let alone those that don't deserve any reward from God on account of their willful disobedience.
