| For some of you might not know how 5 guys became *N Sync. You can say that they were related. It’s like a chain, like this: Chris - Joey - JC - Justin - Lance Don’t get it? Well here’s the story: Lets go back to 1991. Back then the show, "The New Mickey Mouse Club" was a hit. Guess what? Justin and JC were both in the "club", known as "Mouseketeers". That’s how they know each other. Joey was an extra as one of the dancer on MMC (Mickey Mouse Club). He met Justin and JC on the set and became friends with them. Chris, got a job at the "Universal Studios’ music and dance group" and met Joey there, who then eventually introduced Justin and JC to him. Chris also wanted to start a boy-band. He was lucky to know 3 hotties who could sing and dance, and including himself, there were 4 hotties who could sing and dance who was willing to join up into a band. Soon, they discovered that they needed a base singer. So Justin called his vocal teacher and he suggested Lance Bass, a former client of his. Lance joined up with the guys (which now made 5 hotties) and got along with them very well! They soon got a record deal and were on their way to fame. So that’s how they got together! As for how they got the name N Sync for their band, well that was Justin’s mom, Lynn’s idea. Here what she got when she was writing ideas on a notepad: justiN chriS joeY lansteN jC You might be thinking, why lansten?
