CHAPTER 12
-==-==The Next Day-==-==

JC walked onto the set and saw Justin, Chris, Lance and Joey sitting at a table.
"Well, well, look Mr. Early bird isn't so early after all", Chris said as JC approached them.
"I'm not late", JC replied.
"Yeah you are you were supposed to be here at 7:00 am sharp!", Lance said looking at his watch. "And if you haven't noticed it's 8:30"
"Didn't Johnny say 9:00?", JC asked.
Everyone nodded, "no"
"Oh", JC replied as he finally took a seat at the table.
"Where's everyone else?", JC said looking around to see if Mandi was anywhere around.
"Most of the girls are in make-up or hair", Joey replied.
"Yeah, except for one", Justin said eyeing JC
"What?!", JC replied harshly.
"Well Mandi is the only one not here and we figured she was with you", Justin answered.
"No i haven't talked to her", JC said getting up.
"Where are you going?", All the guys asked together.
"To get ready!", JC said walking off.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!", Joey said loud enough for JC to hear, JC heard but didn't say anything he wasn't in the mood.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!", Mandi said waking herself up.
All night she had been having really weird dreams about both JC and Josh. She looked over at the clock.
"I'm LATE!", Mandi said jumping out of bed and quickly getting ready.
Half an hour later she was running out the door to the set.

"So Sheena did you have fun with Joey?", Skyler asked as she winked her eye.
She just smiled.
"What your not going to tell us?!", Tina asked.
Sheena didn't say anything she just keep her huge smile.
"SHEENA COME ON!! you gotta tell us!", Skyler begged.
"Maybe later!", Sheena replied.
"No now", Skyler insisted.
"No later i'll tell you when Mandi gets her so i don't have to explain a hundred times", Sheena replied looking around. "Where is mandi?"

"That girl is really getting to JC", Lance said.
"You guys weren't at the club to see what happened", Chris replied as he thought back to last night.
"What happened", Justin asked.
"Wait that reminds me", Lance spoke up.
"What?", everyone asked.
"Joey got locked in the closet with Sheena", Lance replied. Justin and Chris turned to look at Joey, then burst out laughing.
"ok, so what happened with JC?", Joey asked trying to change the subject.
"oh yeah, well things looked to be going great with him and Mandi, but then Jordan Knight showed up and started dancing with Mandi, the last thing i saw was them kissing. then Mandi came up to me saying JC had left her there.", Chris explained.
Before anyone could say anything Mandi started to walking their way practically running. At the same time JC got out of his trailer walking towards the guys.
Mandi and JC got to the guys at the same time, then finally saw each other.

CHAPTER 13

Mandi's eyes narrowed when she saw JC.
For a minute, Lance was afraid she was gonna claw his eyes out.
"I have to talk to you later." she said coldly.
She turned to the guys. "Do you know where Sheena is?"
"Yeah, she's with the other girls in hair and make-up," Justin said.
Mandi walked away without another word.
"WOAH! JC! You blew it!!" Joey said when Mandi was out of ear shot.
"Shut up!" JC said, sitting down with a sigh. "I'm in for it."

"AND THEN, he left me there!" Mandi complained.
Jessica, the girls' hair dresser and make-up artist, laughed, pulling a piece of Mandi's brown hair into a small pony tail and dipping it into the blue cool-aid. "Are you sure you don't mind having your hair all these different colors for a while?"
"My hair used to be blonde with maroon stripes; I don't think blue, green and purple is gonna hurt me very much."
Jessica laughed, pulling it out and putting another one in the green.
She blew her auburn red hair out of her face.
Brittney Spears, who was sitting next to Mandi with Skyler and Sheena, laughed. "Do you want me to put that in a clip for you Jess?"
"Please!" she said.
Skyler giggled as Brittney got up and put Jessica's hair in a bright pink clip.
Sheena put her hand over her mouth when she realized that the clip had pink dye on it.
"BRITTNEY!" Tina exclaimed, walking in with Stephanie and Kayla.
"SHH!" Mandi, Skyler, Sheena and Brittney hissed.
"So? She put pink dye in my hair. It's been done before. No biggie." Jessica said.
The girls laughed.
"All right! UP AND OUT!!" Jamie said, walking into the room with Carmin.
"OK!" the girls said.
Jessica put the last strand of Mandi's hair in the purple dye and smiled.
Carmin put her hand over her mouth. "It's BLUE!!"
"And purple!" Kayla added.
"Don't forget the green!!" Sheena exclaimed, showing them her green hair.
Skyler smiled, showing them her blue hair.
Brittney laughed. "Mine is normal! Brown!"
Jessica sighed. "Mine is auburn red and pink! Thank you Brittney!" she said.
Suddenly an evil look came over her. She smiled, walking up to Brittney. She reached up, pulled the clip out of her hair and put it in Brittney's.
"HA!" she yelled.

JC sighed tiredly when they finally finished shooting the video.
He looked around to find Mandi.
She was talking to Joey and laughing about something.
He took a deep breath and ran for the door, hoping to get out without being noticed.
"And just where do you think you are going?" Mandi asked angrily, all of the sudden appearing in front of him.
"Um.. to eat?"
"Wrong."
"To hide?"
"Yep." she said, her eyes narrowing.
She pushed him out the door and stepped out after him.
"Look. I'm sorry. I don't know why I left you there.." JC started.
"JC! You left me at a club, dancing with a conceited little pop star. I had to catch a cab to get home. THEN, the horny little cab driver harassed me. JC, why the hell did you leave?" Mandi screamed at him.
Lou, who had been walking down the hall, stopped suddenly.
His eyebrows raised. "Where did you leave her, JC?"
"At a club.." he said sheepishly.
"Any particular reason?"
"Umm..." JC said, trying to think of a reason.
"Guess not." Lou said. He shook his head. "Mandi, you'll have to excuse him. As for the cab driver, I can do something about that if you want me to."
"That's ok, Lou. Thanks though." she said.
"Just let me know if he does anything else. I'll get him." he said with a laugh and continued walking down the hall.
When he walked into his office, Mandi looked over JC, who was trying to get away.
"I don't know what your problem is, but you'd better fix it."
"OK," he said.

**A+Month+Later+On+Tour**
Mandi got up off the couch of the guys' tour bus.
She walked into the kitchenette where Lance was popping popcorn.
"Hey cutie," she said, opening the cabinet door.
She pulled out a glass and suddenly a thought popped in her head.
"Lance," she said, "what is JC's middle name?"
"Umm. JC? Scott." he said.
Mandi gasped, dropping the glass.
**FLASHBACK**
"I hate you too, Joshua Scott Chasez!" she screamed.
She knew right then it was a lie.

Mandi jumped up out of bed.
"What the.." she thought out loud.
Suddenly she realized that it had been a dream.
'Wow!' She thought. 'How the heck did I know his whole name?'
**END+OF+FLASHBACK**
"Mandi! Are you ok?" Lance said, walking up to her.
"Did.. did.. you.. you say.. Scott?"
"Yeah.. why?" he said, bending down to get the glass she'd dropped.
"Um.. no reason." she said. "I'm so sorry about that."
"It's ok," he said, giving her a weird look.

Chapter 14: "I Thought You Were The One"

An hour later everyone was getting ready to start watching a movie that was going to be on TV.
"Hurry up it's going to start!", Lance yelled as he picked his seat first.
"Coming!", Sheena and Joey yelled at the same time as they both ran to the same spot, Joey got there two seconds before Sheena so she fell onto Joey's lap.
"Comfy?", Joey joked trying not to smile.
"Joey!, Move i want to sit here", Sheena replied.
"I got here first", joey said. "So you gotta find another spot"
"But the only reason you ran over here is cause you knew i was going to sit here!", Sheena replied.
"to bad", Joey replied.
"Fine then", Sheena said as she leaned in and gave Joey a passionate kiss, when she pulled away knowing Joey would want more. "You Just won't get any more of those!" Sheena started to get up but Joey pulled her back.
"NO! you can sit here, look there's room for both of us", Joey said as he moved over making room for Sheena.
JC walked in into the room and sat down.
"Where's everyone else?", Tina asked as she also walked in.
"Mandi's coming", Chris replied walking in behind her.
"Justin and Skyler?", Lance asked.
"I don't think they are going to watch the movie", JC spoke up.
"Why not? This is a group thing!", Tina asked.
"Well, they're in the back of the bus busy in a makeout session.", JC replied. "And unless you want to pull them apart they aren't coming"
"oh..", Tina replied as she sat down with Chris not far behind.
"Mandi!", JC yelled.
"Coming!", mandi yelled from the next room on the bus. "Go ahead and start the movie if you want!"
"Just hurry up", Joey yelled.
Mandi walked in and took the only seat left next to JC
"Okay start it", JC said.
JC and Mandi hadn't be fighting but they hadn't been romantic either. They were starting to form a good friendship, despite both of their real feeling towards each other.
halfway through the movie Mandi fell asleep and comfully snuggled up against JC who was also asleep.

Justin and Skyler

Justin and Skyler had now been officially going out for about a month. They hadn't been separated at all through out that time but tomorrow morning when they got to the next stop Skyler was going away for a week to visit her brother who was in the hospital.

"God! You can't leave tomorrow", Justin said in between kisses. "I'm going to miss you too much"
"I'm going to miss you too baby", Skyler replied.

Chapter 15

Mandi sighed, walking into the sound check.
When she'd woken up the previous night in JC's arm completely alone with him, she'd been so scared she was surprised she hadn't peed in her pants.
When she'd found her strength to move and had gotten in her bunk, she hadn't been able to sleep.
She slumped down in a seat on the first row by Skyler.
"Hey, Sky! When ya leaving?" she asked, trying to sound cheerful.
"Well, Jus.. I.. decided to stay another day."
"Oh!" she laughed.
"So," Skyler said, leaning close to Mandi so no one but her and Sheena, who was sitting on the floor in front of them, could hear. "Sleep well?"

All during the sound check JC couldn't keep his eyes off Mandi.
He couldn't get the image of her sleeping peacefully in his arms. He couldn't get rid of the feel of having her there in his arms. And he definitely couldn't get rid of the feeling he had for her.
'Feelings,' he corrected himself as he walked off the stage with Joey.
He'd been able to tell when she woke up because he whole body had tensed up. He'd let her think he was asleep so she wouldn't jump all over him.
When Joey stopped walking, JC did too.
He looked over and Mandi was standing right beside him, looking a little uncomfortable.
He smiled, as he usually did.
She smiled back, looking totally normal again.
'Is that good?' he wondered.

Mandi looked around the crowd, still amazed at the people who came to the concerts.
'This is great,' she thought, smiling.
**FLASHBACK**
Mandi's eyes widened, along with JC, Joey, Lance, Justin and Chris's. There were probably two thousand girls standing out there, only half of which were actually going in the venue.
When it was time for the concert to start, the lights went out and the screaming started.
When the music began, Mandi took her cue and walked out on stage.
Tim, the drummer, looked at her with wide eyes. "Mandi! What are you doing?"
"I have to tell these girls something." she said, looking around the coliseum.
She cleared her throat and the screaming quieted down.
"*N.."
"Where ever I go.." the guys' voices actually overtook the girls screaming.
"SYNC.." she said.
"Whatever I do.."
"Will.."
"Whenever my heart is crying out for you..."
"Rock.." she continued.
"Wherever I go.."
"Your.."
"Whatever I do.."
"World!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"I'm crazy for you!" the guys sang as they and their dancers ran on stage.
**END+FLASHBACK**
She smiled at herself as she bent down to get some water, glad she didn't have to to that anymore.
When she stood up, she was face-to-face with JC.
"Omigosh!" she breathed, putting her hand over her heart.
He smiled. "I didn't mean to scare you."
Mandi took a closer look at his face, realizing he wasn't JC. His face was stronger and his voice, like his face, wasn't as friendly.
"Do I know you?" he asked.
"That would depend on who you are.." she said, staring at him still.
He grinned. "My name is Josh."

Josh stared at the girl.
"I'm Andi." she said.
"Mandi?" he asked.
"No, Andi. Mandi quit."
Josh stared at her a little while longer. "Do you know where she went?"
She thought for a minute. "She went off to do some kind of animal work in Alaska." she told him.
"OK, thanks," he said, walking away.
She didn't know it, but she'd just given him all the information he needed.

Mandi sighed.
'This has got to be the most boring show in the world!'
"What is the name of this show again?" she asked Joey.
"Huh?" he asked, pulling away from Sheena.
"Nevermind!" she giggled, looking over at Chris, Tina and Kayla.
"Some kind of soap opera. Jordan Knight is guest staring on it!" she said, smiling. "He is so fine!"
'And a good kisser and a spoiled little brat..' Mandi thought.
"Well, it's boring. I'm going to bed!"
"Bed?" Joey asked, his ears seemed to perk up like a puppy dog's.
"Not you, ME!" Mandi laughed, standing up.
"That's okay..."
"JOEY!" Sheena exclaimed, hitting the back of his head.
"I was just joking!" he whined.
"Well, actually, I'm gonna eat first."
She walked into the kitchenette to find JC sitting at the table with his head in his hands.
"What's the matter cutie?" she asked, sitting beside him.
"Huh?" he asked, jumping up.
"Oh.. yeah.. I'm fine.." he said shaking his head. "You scared the crap out of me!"
Mandi couldn't help but giggle. "Were you asleep?"
"Yeah. Mandi, can I ask you a question?" JC asked.
"Sure!" she said.
"Who is Josh?"
Mandi's eyes opened wide. She was surprised by her urge to tell him everything.
"Um..." she said. "Josh is my brother."
"You are THAT scared of you brother?" JC asked, concern clouding his gorgeous face.
Mandi stared at him. "I'll tell you, but you have to promise not to tell." she said, trying to lighten the mood.
He smiled. "I promise!"
"Pinkie swear?" she asked, holding out her pinkie.
"Pinkie swear?!?" JC laughed.
"OK," she said. "When I was thirteen, Josh..."
Chris opened the door. "Mandi! TelePHONE!"
Mandi and JC groaned.
Mandi stood up, took the telephone and walked into the bunk room.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Mandi? This is Josh. I know you lied."
&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&
MAndi ran up to Louand Brittney, bawling.
"MANDI!" Lou cried as she reached him.
"Oh my God! Mandi, what's the matter?" Brittney asked, hugging her.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to quit the tour.." Mandi stuttered.

CHAPTER 16

Both Lou and Brittney looked at her in shock and able to say anything for a
moment.
"What are you talking about you can't quit!", Brittney finally said.
"I have to you don't understand", Mandi replied in between tears.
"Mandi, is it something JC did?", Lou asked.
Mandi didn't answer for a moment.
"I'll talk to him.", Lou said getting ready to walk off.
"NO!", Mandi yelled jumping out of Brittney's arms getting Lou's attention.
"It's not JC"
"Then why do you want to quit?", Lou asked.
"I just have to, family reasons", Mandi replied.
Lou didn't want to question Mandi to much so he didn't ask anything else.
"Well, i guess if it's really what you want then i can't stop you", Lou said.
"I'm sorry", Mandi said as she walked off back to her room to pack.

"Justin, what did you do with my suitcase?", Skyler asked looking
frantically for it.
"I don't have it", Justin said playing dumb.
"JUSTIN!", Skyler said raising her voice. "I'm going to be late my plane
leaves in an hour.
"Why would I have your suitcase?", Justin asked sarcastically.
"Cause! i know you have it", Skyler replied.
"Cause isn't an answer.", Justin said cracking a smile. "I don't want you to
go"
"It's only two days", Skyler answered.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG THAT IS!?", Justin said.
Skyler walked over to Justin, who was sitting on the bed, and sat on his lap.
"The sooner you give me my suitcase the faster i can leave and the sooner i can
come back.", Skyler said giving Justin a kiss.
"Okay", Justin replied like a little boy.
He got up and walked to the door.
"Where are you going?", Skyler asked.
"To get your suitcase", Justin replied.
"Where'd you put it?", Skyler asked following Justin as he headed for JC's
room.
He walked into JC's room and pulled to suitcases from under JC's bed.
"And you had me looking all over your room like i was going to ever find
them", Skyler said.
"SKYLER!", Lou yelled through the halls.
"IN HERE", Skyler yelled back.
Lou walked into the room with a serious face.
"What is it?", Skyler asked right away.
"I won't be asking you this unless i really needed your help", Lou started.
"I really need you so stay"
"What?", Skyler asked.
"I need you to stay for the next week after that i'll let you have your
break.", Lou said.
"Why do you need me to stay?", Skyler asked.
"Cause Mandi quit", Lou replied.
"What?!", Justin and Skyler said at the same time.

"Mandi, do you want to go to the mall?", JC said walking into her room, to
see her packing.
"What are you doing?", JC asked.
"Packing", Mandi replied plainly.
"I know that but why?", JC asked concerned.
"I'm leaving the tour JC", Mandi said looking at him.
