They made their way up to the door and Haley quickly unlocked it. They rushed inside as the wind started to pick up. Haley glanced outside the window for a moment as a raindrop fell down from the sky. She turned around abruptly, bumping into a close JC. She felt his breath against her cheek as she slowly raised her head only to find his ever-familiar eyes. She took Parker off his shoulder and rested him against her chest. She stepped to the side and made her way up the stairs to Parker's room. She heard JC follow her up as she entered Parker's room.
"Goodnight Blue Eyes." Haley whispered as she placed Parker in his bed. She covered him up with the blankets and kissed his head. His breathing was steady as he fell into a deep sleep. Haley sat on the edge of his bed and stared at him; her mind desperately thinking of what to say to JC when she turned around again.
Admit it! You still have feelings for him; always have always will! I know but..but! But what! You haven't seen Mike in 3years! 3years! I haven't seen JC in 3years either and then I meet him at the mall! That's different! You wanted to see JC so you did. You know you did!
Haley's mind stopped it's bickering when she felt JC's hand on her shoulder. She had totally forgotten that he was standing behind her.
Lost in my own thoughts I guess.
She got up and smiled at him. Breaking their eye contact, she slipped towards the door. As she made her way down the stairs and loud crash sounded from outside. The hall went black and Haley grasped the railing surprised at the darkness. She felt JC's hand rest on her hip as he pulled her closer.
"Are you ok?" He asked, his breath tickling her ear. Before she could answer she heard a slight cry from Parker's room. The lights flickered on again and Haley listened tenaciously as the cry came again.
"Parker." Haley whispered as she moved directly up the stairs. She entered the room and scooped Parker into her arms. "It's ok Baby. Mommy's here." JC could only frown as he stood in the doorway. He was used to hearing those names as she lay next to him in bed, her body pressed closed against his. A tear slipped down his face and he wanted to run and hold her. Haley pulled away from Parker and wiped the hair away from his forehead. She smiled at his scared little face and kissed him on the forehead.
"You ok?" Parker shook his head and crawled back into his bed. When he was situated bed Haley got up and walked towards the door. The darkness made it hard to maneuver through the bedroom causing Haley to have to place her hands out in front of her. She walked slowly not noticing JC standing right in front of her. Her hands hit his chest and she quickly pulled them away hoping JC didn't notice.
"Sorry." She mumbled as she stumbled past. She made her way to the stairs and stopped at the top. Outside it was pouring, she hadn't noticed the pitter patter on the roof until then. The trees swayed to the side at the gusts of wind blew them over. She felt JC's presence behind her and she hastily skipped down the stairs.
"The weathers pretty rough out there." JC said as he sat on the couch. Haley nodded her head in agreement as she reached for the remote control. JC had wanted to talk to Haley but when she clicked on the T.V his hopes faded. Then he realized that she had changed it to the weather station.
T.V: "A Hurricane warning is in affect for the Orlando area. If possible, stay indoors. This could be a big one folks, even Disney World has closed." Haley sighed and clicked off the T.V.
"JC you should stay here tonight. I don't want you to drive in that weather and also I would have to give you a ride home and Parker is asleep." Haley trailed off as JC smiled at her babbling.
"It's ok Hal. I don't mind." JC said as he placed his hand on top of hers. He squeezed it tighter as he felt the shiver run up her body. "So how you've been Hal?"
"Good JC. Parker certainly brightens up any rainy day. You?" Haley looked up at JC and smiled. JC noticed that whenever she talked about Parker her eyes got this special sparkle in them. JC remembered that sparkle, the same one that she used to get when she looked at him.
"Lonely Hal." Haley frowned and dropped her head realizing he was talking about her.
"I'm sorry JC. It's just so complicated." Haley whispered as JC lifted her chin with is finger. "I'm sorry."
"Tell me Hal. Why'd you leave? Make me miserable for almost 3 years. Leave me thinking, thinking about what I did wrong." JC looked into her big brown eyes as a tear slipped down her face.
"JC I didn't want to leave, I had to." Haley started off strong her voice fading when she realized how stupid she must sound.
"Then why'd you leave!" JC's voice was loud causing her to jump from being startled.
"It's a long story." Haley whispered hoping JC's tone would be as equally as soft for her sleeping toddler upstairs.
"Well, I'm not leaving Hal until you tell me." JC crossed his arms across his chest and leaned back against the couch.
Haley took a deep breath before she started her long, painful account. "That day Mike came to the house. He told me that he wanted me back. I told him 'no' and that I loved you and only you. That made him mad, really mad. I've never seen him so angry so when he threaten to hurt you I knew he was serious. He said he would hurt you and JC I couldn't stand seeing you hurt, I still can't. I love you too much." Haley broke down in tears, her head in her hands shielding her face from JC.
"Hal why didn't you tell me? Mike wouldn't have hurt me. We could have told the police." JC said as he pulled Haley into his arms. His warmth was familiar and foreign all in one making Haley strangely comfortable in his embrace.
"JC he had followed us all through Europe. He was dangerous and I couldn't take that risk." Haley mumbled her head pressed tightly against his chest. She breathed in his familiar smell and relaxed all at once. He stroked her hair as he breathing calmed.
"But Haley he isn't here now. You have nothing to worry about. I'm here now, not him." Haley wiggled out of his grasp and looked into his eyes.
Ahh! What do I do? I'm so fucken scared but I want this so badly! What to do, what to do!?
As Haley looked at JC he saw her mixed emotions flicker in her yes. He smiled and slowly leaned in closer to her. She closed her eyes and lost control of everything. Her heart was in control and she was totally gone from reality. As his lips brushed her she moaned at how good it felt. The moan sent logical thoughts flooding into her head. She pulled away from JC and thrusted her hands through her hair. As she pulled and ran her fingers through her hair JC stared at her. He couldn't stand it, not having her was driving him nuts. He broke down in tears and a fit of hysteria right in front of Haley.
"I need you Haley! Why can't you see that? Huh!?" JC screamed as he leapt off the couch. "I need your voice to comfort me at night. Call me your secret names."
"JC please please be quite." Haley said as she too stood up. She placed her finger on his lips to silence them but he just gently kissed it. Before Haley knew anything else she was trapped in JC's fond embrace.
"I want to be your baby Haley. I need you to call me 'Blue Eyes'. No one has called me that for almost 3 years. And then when I do hear it, it isn't for me but my son, my loving son who I want to spend the rest of my life with, his mother right by my side.
Haley couldn't take it anymore. She wanted those things too but she couldn't let herself to think that. "Stop it JC! Just stop it! You think you were the only one lonely! I didn't want to leave! I didn't want to, no I didn't want to!" Haley words were unclear as she beat JC's chest with her fists. Instead of pulling away JC pulled her closer. They sunk to the ground both crying. That sat there each knowing what the other felt. JC pulled away and held Haley's face in his hands. She closed her eyes at the warmth of his touch.
"Haley." JC whispered as he caressed her cheek. She opened her eyes and placed her finger on his lips. Her face moved out of his hands and leaned in closer to his. As she thrusted her lips against his' JC rubbed his hands around her back. Haley pulled away and arranged her arms under JC's pulling him up with her as he leaned to kiss her again. They kissed but Haley suddenly pulled away. She made her way up the stairs grabbing JC's hand on the way. She placed it on her hip and he placed his other on her other hip. She turned her head to the left and kissed him as they staggered up the stairs. JC slipped his hands under her shirt feeling her toned stomach. Haley smiled and turned around to face him. She cupped his face in her hands and kissed him once again.
"Haley I haven't been with another woman." JC whispered as Haley pulled him into her room. "But I think, I think I still know how." Haley laughed and kissed JC again.
"That's ok baby, you're a perfectionist remember? We'll do it until you get it right." JC laughed at her remark and kissed her neck. His heart melted at the sound of her words.
"Say it again." JC whispered, his head resting in the cradle of her neck.
"I love you baby." JC sighed and pressed her against the bed following quickly after her.
CHAPTER 17

When JC woke up he suddenly remembered where he was. He didn't feel the warmth of Haley's naked body against his and he panicked. Sitting up quickly he looked around the room.
It's still raining outside so she couldn't have left.
As JC's worst thoughts ran through his head he heard laughter from downstairs. He smiled recognizing Haley's beautiful laugh. He slid out of the bed and pulled on his boxers and wifebeater that had been scattered on the floor. He smiled to himself as he saw Haley's shirt on the ground. He made his way downstairs slowly for he was still a little sleepy. As he entered the kitchen a familiar smell returned.
"AINT'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH. AIN'T NO VALLEY LOW ENOUGH. AIN'T NO RIVER WIDE ENOUGH. TO KEEP ME FROM BEING WITH YOU BABE." Haley sang into her pretend mic as Parker danced on the chair. JC could only laugh for they looked hilarious, oblivious to the world around them. He stared at Haley standing with her back to him. She was wearing some baggy flannel pants but her slender figure was still obvious. JC recognized her Hudson High School soccer shirt and was surprised it still fit her. When she turned around he saw that it hung right above her navel.
"Ahh!" Haley screamed as she saw JC standing in front of her. She started hysterically laughing and crumpled to the ground. She was rolling on the ground in hysterics when Parker jumped on top of her. "Oomph."
"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, JC's up!" Parker screamed as he straddled Haley. She looked up at him and blinked a couple times. Last night it had been the other blue eyed male in the house straddling her. She smiled and grabbed Parker's waist as she stood up.
"Morin' baby." JC said as he kissed Haley on the cheek. She blushed as she placed Parker in his seat.
"Did you sleep ok?" Haley asked as she walked over to her cooking pancakes. A devious smile appeared on JC's face as he slipped his hands onto Haley's bare stomach. "God! Your hands are cold!" She said as she pushed them off.
"Sorry" JC said as he kissed her neck. He continued and Haley smiled until she noticed Parker staring at them.
"JC. Go sit down, breakfast is ready." Haley commanded as she pushed JC's hands off her waist. The smile was still on his face as he sat down across from Parker.
"Hey buddy." JC said as he rubbed Parker's head.
"JC mommy made pancakes, mommy never makes pancakes." Parker squealed happily as he bounced in his seat. JC heard Haley cough as she scooped the pancakes onto three plates. She turned around and smiled at JC bashfully. He smiled back and as soon as she placed the plates on the table he pulled her onto his lap.
"JC not now." Haley muttered as JC nibbled on her neck. She couldn't help but giggle as he kissed her neck on last time before his hands unclasped from around her waist. She slipped onto a chair and started to eat her pancakes. Parker quickly inhaled his pancake and jumped off his seat. JC and Haley watched him as he walked around to the other side of the table and pulled himself onto JC.
"What are you doing baby?" Haley asked, as she looked confused by her son's actions. He smiled and plopped himself into JC's lap.
"You got to sit on JC. I want my turn." Parker said as he looked up at JC. JC smiled and kissed him on the head. He finished eating his pancakes, Parker still on his lap. When JC cleared his plate he picked up Parker and slung him over his shoulder. Haley smiled as Parker's giggles filled the house. JC placed Parker on the counter and rinsed off his plate.
"So, what do ya wanna do?" JC asked turning to Parker.
"Beach!" Parker cried as he stood up on the counter. Haley quickly grabbed him and pulled him to the floor.
"We can't go tot he beach silly. It's still raining." Haley said as she placed her plate in the dishwasher. The wind had died down but it was still pouring outside. JC thought for a moment and then a cunning smile appeared on his face.
"Why not?" JC said as he picked up Parker. Haley's head pulled out of the dishwasher and looked at him.
"What?" Haley stammered as she stared at JC. He walked over to the slider and opened the door. Sticking his arms out into the rain he measured the temperature and shook his head.
"Perfect day for the beach." He said as he splashed the water from his hand onto to Parker. Parker hid his face in JC's shirt and Haley almost cried. They looked perfect with each other. "It's a little wet outside but rather warm." JC said as he patted Parker's head. JC's sweet sensitive side had sucked in Haley.
"I dunno know." Haley said doubtfully as she closed the dishwasher door. She looked at JC and shrugged her shoulders.
"Please mommy." Parker said as he jutted out his lower lip. JC looked at Parker and mimicked his innocent voice, sticking out his lip also. Haley looked at them both and gave in.
"Sure." She said throwing her hands in the air.
"Yeah!" Parker said as he wrapped his little arms around JC's neck. JC was surprised by his hug. He didn't realize really until then how much he was in love with Parker.
I fell in love with him when I saw his little face. He is so much like Haley and I've already fallen for her it's only natural that I love Parker.
He hugged Parker tighter and closed his eyes. Haley walked over and stroked Parker's head. He looked so happy, so did JC.
"Happy Blue Eyes?" Haley asked as she placed her hands on JC's waist. He smiled and kissed her lightly on the lips. Parker's head lifted off JC's shoulder and he pulled on Haley's head.
"Yucky!" He said as he reached for Haley. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Ewe!" He wiped off the kiss and smiled at Haley. She just laughed and rubbed his head.
"So why don't I go back to my house and get my suit. Then I'll swing by and pick you guys up ok?" JC said as he rested his hands on Haley's hips.
"Ok. We can drive to the beach now. It's only about 5 minutes away."
"Great! I'll be back in like 30 mins." He was about to kiss Haley again but she walked over towards the door.
"Take my car." She said tossing him the keys. He caught them and grabbed his coat.
"Bye babe!" She gave her a kiss on the cheek and rubbed Parker's head. "See ya later buddy."
"Bye JC!" Parker yelled as JC ran out the door. He waved until the car was out of site.
"Go get ready you!" Haley shouted as she placed Parker on the ground. He ran up the stairs and Haley hit his little butt. She walked into the kitchen and cleaned up the rest of the dishes. She couldn't help but look at her finger. She had JC back and he was perfect with Parker. That was what she wanted but something was missing. Something that would show how much JC really loved her.
At least he is back again. That's what is most important right?
She sighed and put the thought out of her mind as she walked up stairs to her room
