chapter 9

"It was really nice of Lance to volunteer to watch Teddy!" Evangalyne said to everyone as they sat down at a table in one of Orlando's hottest night spots. "Dance clubs aren't really his thing." Chris said. "I don't know if it's my thing anymore either, it's been so long since I last went dancing." she said as she watched Joey get up and ask a girl to dance. "He really does like women." she thought. "When was the last time you went dancing?" Justin asked. "The last time I was in Orlando." she answered stealing a glance at JC. "What are you smiling at?" Justin whispered to Sam. "I have a plan..." she said and whispered her plan to him. "I like it," he told her, "Monroe, let's go get jiggy with it." He grabbed her and dragged her to the dance floor. "JC dance with me!" Sam said grabbing him. They danced a few sets then made the switch in time for a slow song. "And yes we did plan this." Sam said as her and Justin ran off. Evangalyne looked up at JC. "For old times sake?" he asked as he put his arms around her for the dance. "This feels even better than it did six years ago." Evangalyne thought. "I'm sorry." She heard JC whisper. "I'm sorry too." she said. "For a lot." she thought. "I was just so hurt by the realization that you were with someone else so soon after you left." he said holding her close. "JC I have to tell you something." "No, I really don't want to know about him. Though he must of been a great guy to make a little girl so special." "DON'T CRY!" she thought to herself. "No , JC really.." she tried to say holding back the tears she so desperately wanted to let go. "I really don't think I could handle hearing about him," JC said,"It took me awhile to get over you, the thought of him whoever he is makes me mad and I would like to be friends." "It would be sad if we couldn't be." Evangalyne answered. "Good! Because I missed you." JC said holding her tighter. "I missed you too." she said as she laid her head upon his shoulder and let a lonely tear fall.

"What are YOU still doing up?" Lance yawned as he came downstairs. "My head is to filled with memories and wishes." JC said. Lance looked at JC, "If you need to be alone I'll go but if you need to talk I'll stay, I owe you a few." "I might get a little emotional." JC said with tears in his eyes. "As I said I owe you a few. Lance said as he sat across from JC. "I lied to Evangalyne tonight, I've never done that." JC said," to her or anyone else for that matter." "Why and what about?" Lance asked. "To protect myself and I told her I wanted to be friends." "but you want to be more than just friends, don't you?" Lance asked. "I've never loved anyone the way I loved her." JC answered. "I've known you for awhile now and I think I know you well enough to tell you you haven't really loved anyone BUT her." Lance replied. "I don't think I will ever love anyone else besides her." "JC what's scaring you, is it Teddy?" "No not at all, she's a great little girl. It's the fact her father was with Evangalyne." "Sorry but I can't help you with that one." Lance yawned. "Go back to bed I'll be fine!" "Okay but you get some sleep too. Remember we are taking Teddy to Disneyworld tomorrow, or actually today." Lance said as he walked back to his room. After Lance left JC laid down on the couch to think. "Huh? What?" he said opening his eyes to a tugging on his arm. "I had a bad dream." Teddy said crawling up onto the couch next to JC. "Don't worry," JC said as he held her, "I'll keep you safe."

chapter 10

"Lyney you have got to see this it's so adorable." Sam said as she came rushing into Evangalyne's room. "What is?" Evangalyne said coming out of the bathroom drying her hair with a towel. "Follow me." Sam said as she grabbed Evangalyne and dragged her downstairs. "Shh or you'll wake them." Wake w..." Evangalyne trailed off as she saw Teddy asleep on the couch, in the arms of JC who was also asleep. "isn't that the cutest, Lyney what's wrong?" Sam asked as she saw the tears falling from Evangalynes face.
"I...Um..." Evangalyne said before she run upstairs.

"JC, JC wake up!" Teddy said pushing him. "Wh..Wh...Huh?" JC said opening his eyes. "Wake up and get dressed, we are gonna be late!" teddy said as she rushed upstair to get ready. "What are you smiling at?" JC asked at the rest of the guys as he got up. "I'm not one for mushy mushiness, but that had to be the cutest thing I've ever seen when I came downstairs and saw the two of you ." Joey said. "What are you talking about?" JC asked. "You and Teddy." Justin answered. "You two were asleep on the couch together." Lance added. "I got pictures." Chris grinned. All of a sudden Teddy came rushing downstairs and launched herself into JC's
arms. "I'm going to Dinsyworld!" She shouted.

"Three in the front and two in the back." The ride attendent said. "Come on JC ride with momma and me." Teddy said as she jumped up and down. "Teddy calm down." Evangalyne said as she laughed. "She's just like you. Can't contain your excitement." JC said as they got into the log. "Look at them they would make the cutest little family." Sam whispered to Justin from the back of the log. "Momma you gotta hold on to me so I don't fall out." "Always Teddy bear always." "and JC you hold onto momma you hear." "Yes mam." JC said laughing as he put his arms around Evangalyne. "She's been putting those two together on almost every ride." Justin whispered. "I've noticed," Sam said, "smart girl."

chapter 11

two months later

"Hold on just a minute." Evangalyne said as she finshed developing some of her shots in what was once her bathroom. "Just one more." she said as a picture of JC teaching Teddy how to play the Keyboard came into focus. "They are so beautiful." She thought. "Evan." JC said from the other side of the door. "coming." she said as she opened the door. "Why aren't you spending the night at Lynn's like everyone else?" she asked as she closed the door behind her. "Because I wanted to talk to you." he said. Her heart jumped at those words. "What about?" she asked nervously. "I...Um... I..you.." he stammered. "JC just tell me what it is." "Oh hell actions speak louder than words." he said. "Ok, then act." she said so he did just that. Ke kissed her tenderly, allowing for memories to come fourth. At the memory of their first kiss she kissed him back. At the memory of their first "I love you"s he kissed her with more passion. The memories of the night they made love sparked a desire so great that they both sank to their knees, never breaking apart. Evangalyne tugged JC's shirt off roaming her hands over his strong chest, remember every inch of him. JC pulled down the straps of Evangalyne's sundress, kissing her neck and shoulders, savoring the taste of her. "I never stopped loving you." JC said as he kissed her. "Then don't stop now." She said as she pulled him with her to the floor.

"I love you JC." Evangalyne said as she rested her head on his chest. "I've waited six years to hear yo say that." he said kissing the top of her head. "I've loved you for six years." she said. "You don't have to lie Evang." "I'm not lying JC!" "then were you drunk when Teddy was concieved?" "I don't drink." "Was it a meaningless one night stand?" "JC you know me better than that." "Then did you love Teddy's father?" he asked. "yes I did, but JC I have to tell you..." "No I don't want to hear it!" he said as he got up and left. "You forgot your clothes." Evanglayne muttered.

chapter 12

one week later

"You guys we go on tour in a month and a half." Lance said as they walked up to the house. "Get used to sore muscles and rehearsals like this one." Justin said. "I wanna do what JC does when I grow up." Teddy said sleepily as she layed her head against her mother's shoulder. "You want to stay after rehearsal to fix a mixing problem?" Chris asked laughing as he opended the door, "Ladies first." he said to Evangalyne and her sleepy daughter. "Mrs. Chasez." "Evangalyne it is so good to see you!" JC's mother said as she kissed Evangalyne on the cheek. "what are you doing here?" Justin asked giving her a hug. "Well Joshua told me about Evangalyne so I had t come see her." She said as the boys yawned. "Go get some sleep." she said. "Like son, like mother." Chris said as the four of then adn Sam made their way upstairs. "Justin take a showere first," Sam said, "you are not coming to bed smelling like THAT!" "Is this your litle girl?" Mrs. Chasez asked. "I'm a big girl right momma?" "Yes Teddy your a big girl," Evangalyne said, "Teddy this is Mrs. Chasez. "Nice to meet you Teddy." "Are you JC's momma?" "Yes I am," Mrs. Chasez said smiling. "I like JC." Teddy said looking at his mother. "You have such beautiful blue,,,OH MY GOD!" Mrs Chasez said in shock. "Teddy go upstairs and put your pj's on." "Okay, night JC's momma." Teddy said as she ran upstairs. Mrs. Chasez looked at Evangalyne, "JC is her father isn't he?" "It was her eyes wasn't it." Evangalyne asked shaking. "There exactly like his." Mrs Chasez answered, "Does he konw?" "No, I've tried to tell him, but he doesn't want to listen." Evangalyne said with tears in her eyes. "You have to make him listen. He has a right to know. You should have told him right away." "What was I supposed to say. HI JC, nice to see you again, by the way five years ago I gave birth to your daughter."

"Where's JC's mom?" Lance asked. "She went back to Maryland." Evangalyne answered. "Why?" Chris asked pouring everyone a cup of coffee. "Did she get to see JC?" Joey asked. "No he didn't come home last night." Evangalyne replied. "he probably slept on the couch in the office at the wharehouse." Joey said. "I still don't get why his mom didn't go see him?" Justin said. "She found out that JC is Teddy's father, didn't she?" Sam said. CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! "You knew?" Evangalyne asked in shock. "JC's what?" Lance asked. "He's Teddy's father?" Joey exclaimed. "Does JC know?" Justin asked grabbing a towel to clean up the mess. "No." "I don't know why he hasn't figured it out she has his eyes and his smile." "and his hands." Evangalyne muttered. "Gives new meaning to the name Big Daddy." Chris stated. RING! "I'll get it." Evangalyne said as she headed towards the phone. "Hello?" "Hello is this the residence of a Joshua Chasez?" a voice asked. "yes it is but he's not home can I take a message?" "Can I speak to a Mr.Timberlake, A Mr. Fatone, a Mr. Kirkpatrick, a Mr. Bass, or a Miss Monroe?'" the voice asked. "this is Miss Monroe." Evanglayne said, her stomach churning. "Miss Monroe this is Officer Davis." "Oh god, whats happened?" "there has been an accident and Mr. Chasez has been seriously injured." "OH GOD NO!" she said sinking to the floor.

Chapter 13

"I can't believe he was in the warehouse alone." Lance said worried. "Or that the mixing board blew up, literally." Justin wavered. "Is he gonna be all right?" Chris asked the doctor. "It's too early to tell." The doctor answered. "Can I see him?" Evangalyne asked. "Yes you may but remember he's in a coma, but talk to him he might still here you." "I will." she said as she stood in the doorway. Her heart started to break at the sight of him hooked up to all those machines. She sat down next to him and held his hand. "please don't die JC, please don't die. I have so much to tell you." She said trying not to cry. "I love you! I know that neither of us has said this since the night we fought after we made love, but I am not letting you go anywhere without letting you know." With tears spilling down her face she said the things that she had been scarred to tell him for so long. "I love you JC! I always have and always will. I never betrayed that love. I told you that I loved Teddy's father, and I didn't lie about that, YOU are her father JC. I've been wanting to tell you for so long." She kissed his hand. "You have a family waiting for you to open those blue eyes of yours. So please JC wake up soon and come back to me and our daughter."

"Momma is JC gonna die?" "teddy what are you doing here?" Evangalyne asked picking Teddy up onto her lap. "I don't want JC to die." Teddy said crying. "Oh Teddy bear neither do I ." Evangalyne said holding Teddy close. "Do you love JC momma?" "Yes Teddy very much." "I love JC too, I want JC to be my daddy, can JC be my daddy?" Teddy asked looking up at her mother. "Teddy bear, remember when you asked if JC and I were once boyfriend and girlfriend?" "Yes." "Well we loved each other very much and we did something to show each other how much. And because of that I got you. What I'm trying to tell you is that JC is already your daddy, but he doesn't know that yet." "He is?" "Yes but momma never told him that he is your daddy." "How come momma?" "Because I was scarred." Evangalyne answered as Teddy wiped away her mother's tears. "Does that mean that JC's momma is my gramma,and that I have an aunt and an Uncle and a Grampa?" "Yes sweetie it does." Evangalyne said kissing Teddy on top of her little head. "I am gonna go see my new gramma." Teddy said and scurried towards the door, then she stopped and climbed onto the bed with JC and kissed him on the cheek," I love you Daddy."
