Danae was using her gray/blue eyes to search for the whipped cream, which she was positive she had bought, for her peanut butter ice cream. "Ah ha!" She exclaimed, grabbing it from the back of the fridge. "Thought you could hide from me didn't you, but you were wrong." She chuckled as she sprayed it on top of her dessert. She was just putting it away when the phone rang. She grabbed her ice cream and the cordless at the same time. "Yellow?"

She heard a familiar laugh on the other end, "Home alone on a Saturday night?"

"So your point would be Josh?" she said sitting on the ground.

"It's just so like you."

Danae scoffed, "You should know that by now, I've know you for 20 years. So what city are you in now or did you get home to Maryland yesterday and forget to call your best friend because you saw Serta and couldn't resist spending all day with her.

JC laughed, "Stop referring to my bed as a life form please. I'm on my way over so get the guestroom ready and eat your peanutbutter ice cream, or you'll have to share it." he said hanging up.

She looked down at her dessert, "Damn, he knows me to well."

Danae was rinsing out her bowl when she heard her front door open and close, "You better be my best friend or else you should know I'm within reaching distance of a knife."

"Get thoughts of homicide out of your pretty little reddish brown head Nae, it's just me." JC laughed and came into the kitchen, hugging her tightly.

Danae looked at him warily, "You kind of look like my best friend JC, you even sound like him. But he doesn't have any of that fuzz all over his face."

JC smiled, "You like?"

"No"

He frowned.

"Upstairs, bathroom, razor, now." She instructed.

10 minutes later a clean shaven JC walked down the stairs, "Better?"

She walked over and inspected him closely. Running her hands along his cheek. She smiled and kissed his cheek, "Better."

He smiled trying to get his mind to focus on one thought. Well other than the one he was currently having that involved Danae with nothing but a wicked grin on.

"So tell me what's going on?" Danae said walking over to the couch, sitting down at one end with her legs tucked underneath her. Okay nerves calm down. He'll notice. He's my best friend. He's like the brother I never had. But I have a brother, the little bugger. She thought.

"Nothing much, tours over and we have a long break." He said sitting next to her. It's just a stomach, a VERY sexy stomach. He thought as he looked at her cotton shorts and baby tee. I've seen this stomach before. Yeah and I was thinking the same thing the last time I saw it.

"So what happened on the road that you didn't tell me when we talked on the phone?" She smiled. NO SLEEVES! He's not wearing any sleeves, she thought. I hate it when he doesn't wear sleeves. LIAR, you love it and you know it.

"Nothing exciting, I told you just about everything." He responded. Except that the guys think that I love you. So what if I called everyday. That doesn't mean that I'm in love with my best friend. But right now I want to see what she looks like when she's in the shower. Damn, I've been on the road for to long. Road smoad. Six months on the road. Six lonely months with out Nae. "Um so how's the book."

Danae made a face, "I've got the title and that's about it."

"You started a new one?"

"Yeah after this one my contract with this publisher is finished, thank god." she sighed.

JC laughed, "Pain in the ass?"

She stuck out her lower lip in a pretend pout, "He's such a meanie Joshie."

JC bit his own lip as he thought about what it would be like to touch those lips.."Um you want me to beat him up?"

"Um." She tried to speak as she licked her lips, "Um no that's okay." she said absentmindedly, staring at his kissable lips. God I'd love to kiss those lips. That's not all you'd love to kiss.

"I've missed you Nae." he said cuddling up next to her, rubbing his neck.

She smiled, "Missed you to. Do want a back rub?"

JC smiled and jumped off the couch, "Hell yeah, yours are the best."

Danae laughed, "Full back and neck or upper?"

"The whole package" he grinned taking off his shirt and laying on his stomach on the ground. "So tell me." he said as she straddled his lower back and started to knead her thumbs into his muscles as electricity coursed through him at her touch, "Any hot dates lately?" I don't want to know, I don't want to know " MMM, that feels good."

She laughed, "This is as hot as it gets for me."

"Can't find someone who can cut it in bed?" Don't tell me, Don't tell me!

"Josh you know I don't sleep around. Or I would of slept with Joey when he asked"

JC noticably tensed, "Joey asked you to sleep with him?"

"He was drunk Josh. I would of told you otherwise!" She stated, "Besides I haven't had a guy look at me with love or want in his eyes in ages."

"Nae!" I want you. "So when was the last time?" I love you and I don't want to know.

Danae sighed. "About 9 months ago."

"You mean Eric? I can understand why." JC laughed.

"Josh!" Danae scolded as she tried not to laugh. "Since we are on the subject, when was the last time you had sex?" I don't want to know I don't want to know. "Yesterday with some groupie?"

JC chuckled, "Come on Nae you know I'm not one willing to do jail time just for a lay."

Danae laughed and continued to knead her hands into his back.

"Corinn" He answered her first question.

Danae's mouth dropped in shock as she sat back to flip him over to sit on his lower stomach, "Your kidding?"

"Nope" he said taking her weight like she was a feather.

"YOU HAVEN'T HAD SEX IN OVER A YEAR AND A HALF AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!!" She yelled. "Josh why didn't you tell me? That is so not kosher in the best friend handbook."

"Don't yell at me" He shouted.

"I can yell all I want. THIS IS MY HOUSE! Why didn't you tell me? God I love your abs" She yelled looking at his upper body

JC stared at her, not sure he heard her correctly. Figuring he hadn't, removed it from his mind. "Will you stop yelling?"

"NO! NOW TELL ME WHY YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!"

"Because then I would have to tell you the reason." He said quietly.

She looked at him in shock. "Are you impotent?"

"NAE!"

"WELL WHAT THEN?" She shouted.

JC got up on his elbows, his hands next to each of her legs as she sat on him, "I HAVEN'T HAD SEX IN OVER A YEAR AND A HALF BECAUSE THE ONLY WOMAN I HAVE WANTED TO MAKE LOVE TO SINCE THEN IS YOU!"

Danae stared at him for a long time, "Are you joking?" She asked looking down at him.

JC grabbed the back of her neck and brought her mouth a breath away from his. "No joke." He whispered before crushing her mouth against his.

Danae kissed him back passionately. Wrapping her arms around him, "Mmm, Josh." she murmured into his mouth.

He pulled her down with him on the floor as he slid his tongue inside her mouth, causing them both to moan. They used their hands to explore parts of each other, they never had before.

"Oh god Josh." She moaned as his hand slipped inside her top to caress a breast. "I've wanted this for so long." She whispered as she pulled away from him to remove her top.

JC's eyes softened, "God Nae your so beautiful."

She smiled and bent down to kiss him softly.

"Nae lets go upstairs." he murmured between kisses.

She chuckled, "The carpet not comfy enough."

"That's not it," he smiled, "I want the first time we make love to be right."

Somehow they got themselves upstairs and into Danae's bedroom, though now they were totally unclothed. Kissing, they fell on the bed naked.

JC took in the feel of her as he kissed her neck, moving down to her collarbone. "You don't know how many nights I've dreamed of you." He murmured taking a nipple in his mouth.

"OH GOD, JOSH OH GOD!" She gasped, arching her back of the bed.

He chuckled, "And your mom thinks you're an atheist." He said taking her other nipple into his mouth.

"JESUS!!"

"If your mom could see you now." He murmured kissing his way down to dip his tongue into her navel.

She brought his mouth up to hers and kissed him demandingly, pushing him onto his back.. "You taste good." She murmured as her mouth moved along his body.

JC continued to kiss any part of her he could, "Then ask...Oh speaking of asking...My mom wanted me to ask you if you wanted to spend next week with us up at the cabin. She said you could share a room with Heather. Though now I can tell her to keep the Hide-a-bed at home. You'll share a room with me. It may raise a few eyebrows among the family and the guys, they're coming to, but I don't care."

Danae smiled faintly, "I'd love to spend time with everyone, but Josh I need to know something."

"Okay." He said looking down at her.

"A little while ago, when we were...."

"Making love?" he smiled, kissing her passionately.

She pulled away reluctantly, "Yes making love...You said that you loved me. Were you joking?

He smiled and moved to nibble her ear, "No joke!"

She smiled as a tear fell down her face.

He grinned and wiped it away, "After what we just experienced can you even doubt it. Something that amazing only happens to those who are meant to be together. There's really no need but I'm going to ask anyway. I love you Nae, do you love me?

"I love you Josh." She laughed happily as she kissed him.

He looked down at her, "No joke?"

She smiled, "No joke!"
