CREATE A SUPERSTAR MODE
EXTRA WRESTLERS:
Follow these exact routes through the Pre-Season to get the relevant extra wrestlers’ characteristics in Create A Superstar mode.
Note 1: These routes were followed on Easy difficulty, so it doesn’t seem to matter.
Note 2: Sometimes a character may differ from the one mentioned, but give them the response you would give to the expected character.
Note 3: To lose matches quickly, leave the ring in single matches and get counted out. In Hardcore matches etc, just don’t press anything and let yourself get beaten up.
Stephanie McMahon
Lose your first five matches. Say thanks to Debra. Lose your next two. Tell the Hardys to shut up. Lose your next three. Tell the Godfather to shut up. Lose the Royal Rumble. At the next show, Triple H tells you to attack Vince McMahon: say no. Lose the next match. Vince gives you advice: say thanks. Stephanie gives you advice: say thanks. Vince and Stephanie walk out at the end and you’ll be able to create her in Create A Superstar.
Stevie Richards & New Steve Austin
After beating Al Snow, Shamrock, and the Acolytes, Shane should talk to you. After another three wins against Steve Blackman, the Road Dogg, and the Dudley Boyz, a scene shows you being confident about the next fight. In the next match with Mankind you must LOSE! You’ll then fight the Rock in an I Quit match. Next you’ll face Kane. After beating him, he talks to you: tell him to shut up. Next comes the Royal Rumble – lose it (although this may not matter). Next month Chyna tells you to attack Ken Shamrock. Decline and you’ll be attacked by the woman herself and X-Pac. You’ll face Shamrock and X-Pac the same month. Next you’ll see The Rock and Mankind talking. The Big Bossman then tells you to attack The Big Show. Once again decline. You’ll then face The Rock, Steve Austin, and The Big Show. At the end of the Pre-Season, Vince and Austin come to see you and you’ll receive New Stone Cold (alternate) and Stevie Richards for Create A Superstar.
New Rock & The Blue Meanie
Lose your first four matches. You'll then have a Hardcore match with Billy Gunn (Mr
Ass). You must win and then tell Debra to shut up. Win the next two against Test and Mark Henry – after beating the latter, you get the ‘Mark Henry –’ characteristic. Then fight a 2-on-1 with the Acolytes and then Gangrel the next month. He comes out and tells the freaky vampire to shut up. Next comes the Royal Rumble – win and you’ll get the ‘Royal Rumble +’ characteristic. Next month the Bossman attacks Al Snow and you save him. Al Snow comes out to thank you: tell him not to worry about it. Then kick his ass in a Hardcore match – you’ll get ‘Hardcore +’ and ‘Al Snow +’ characteristics. Next month HHH comes to see you. Says thanks and tell Mr Ass and Road Dogg the same. Fight the final bout, a tag match with you and HHH against the Rock and Sock connection. Vince and the New Rock will come to see you at the end and you’ll get the New Rock (alternate) and the Blue Meanie for Create A Superstar.
EXTRA CHARACTERISTICS:
To obtain the following extra characteristics for your wrestler, you need to say the right things to certain characters or win/lose certain matches…
Trustworthy
In Pre-Season mode, say "Thanks" to Stephanie McMahon to get Trustworhy.
Un-Trustworthy
In Pre-Season mode, say "Shut Up" to Stephanie McMahon to get Un-Trustworthy.
D-Generation-X +/-
In Pre-Season mode, talk to every Dx Member encountered to get D-Generation-X+. Or say "Shut Up" to every Dx member met to get D-Generation-X–.
Tori+/-
Lose to Road Dogg at SummerSlam. Tori will approach you with some advice. Say "Thanks" to get Tori+, or say "Shut Up" to get Tori–.
Note: The trick may need to be done three times to get it to work, so save the game when you reach SummerSlam and keep trying until it’s unlocked.
Hardys +/-
Lose to The Hardys when you face them in Pre-Season mode. They’ll approach you with some advice. Say "Thanks" to get Hardys+, or say "Shut Up" to get Hardys–.
Note: This trick may need to be done two or three times to get it to work, as you may get Matt or Jeff Hardy +/- instead.
Smart +/-
In Pre-Season mode, when you see Debra for the first time, say "Thanks" and continue. When Triple H asks you to help him beat up Vince, answer "No". When you meet Vince, then Shane and Stephanie McMahon, say "Thanks" to all of them. Finally, you’ll meet Debra again. Say "Thanks" to get Smart+, or say "Shut Up" to get Smart–.
Note: The trick may need to be done two or three times to get it to work.
Fashion +/-
Lose to Chyna to get a match with Billy Gunn. Win the match and Debra will approach you with some advice. Say "Thanks" to get Fashion+, or say "Shut Up" to get Fashion–.
Note: The trick may need to be done two or three times to get it to work, so save the game after losing to Chyna and keep trying until it’s unlocked.
Singles Match +/-
Start Pre-Season mode on Normal difficulty level. Win and lose matches in this order: win, lose, lose, lose, lose, win, win. The next match should be against Chris Jericho. Win that match to get Singles Match+, or lose it to get Singles Match–.
Mic Skills +/-
Talk on the mike before the match with Kane, then defeat Kane in the match for Mic Skills+. Or for Mic Skills–, lose to Kane.

OTHER SECRETS
MORE AREAS
In an Anywhere Fall match, press O (to whip your opponent) near the arena entrance to access other areas.

MORE WEAPONS
In an Anywhere Fall match you can get more objects by whipping wrestlers into things. For example, in the parking lot, whip someone into the ambulance to get a stretcher. Whip the opponent into the fire extinguisher box on the wall to get the extinguisher. In the back room after the stage, whip someone into the soda machine to get a soda/beer can out of it.

CLIMB OUT OF THE CAGE
Go near the cage, press R1, and when you have climbed a short distance, repeatedly press U.

CHANGE WEAPON
In a Hard-Core match, go outside the ring and pick up any weapon. Walk up to the edge of the ring, hold the D-pad towards it, and press R1. The weapon in your hand will be swapped for another one – a random selection. Using this method, you can get weapons that aren’t normally available, such as championship belts.

WWF Smackdown 2 Know Your Role

SECRET FIGHTERS:
Stone Cold Steve Austin: Win the Main Event during a WWF Backlash match, where Stone Cold should be a guest referee.
Shawn Michaels: Win a Main Event match during a WWF Judgement Day event. Shawn Michaels (HBK) should be a guest ref.
Billy Gunn: Win overall in the King Of The Ring tournament.
Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco: If Pat and Gerald appear in the backstage cut-scenes, you’ll unlock them by winning the Main Event that day.
Rodney, Joey Abs & Rodney: When the Mean Street Posse appear in the backstage storylines, win the Main Event to unlock all three of them.
Cactus Jack: Unlock Jack by winning the Main Event at the No Way Out tournament.
Mick Foley: Unlock old Mick by winning the Main Event at Wrestlemania at the end of year one.
Michael Cole: Unlock Mr Cole by winning the Main Event the day after the Wrestlemania event (end of year one).
Debra: As you progress through the Season, you may go through some ‘Comeback’ events. If Debra appears in the match, win and she’ll be yours.
SECRET MATCHES
TLC (Tables, Ladders & Chairs): Win the TLC match during one of the Season matches.
Tornado Table Match: Win the Main Event during the WWF No Mercy battles.

Note: On the Create-A-Superstar appearance screen, select Upper Body, Advanced, T-Shirt, then Base. Press Triangle to exit the option and the wrestler will become naked! Go down to accept the changes, then save the wrestler. Reset the machine with the code turned off to play the game, otherwise the screen will corrupt.
