Syphon Filter

ALL WEAPONS & UNLIMITED AMMO
Pause during play, highlight the Weapons option, then hold Select + L1 + L2 + R2 + Circle + X. (Or Right + L2 + R2 + Circle + Square + X on the NTSC version.)
Note: Only the weapons normally available during the current level will become selectable.
LEVEL SELECT
Pause during play, select Options, and highlight ‘Select Mission’, Then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Square + Circle + X. (Or Left + R1 + L1 + Select + Square + X on the NTSC version.) The entire list of levels will now appear.

ONE HIT KILLS
Pause during play, highlight the Objectives option, then hold Right + L1 + R1 +
R2 + Circle + X. You’ll here Gabe say "Understood" if it’s worked. Now you can kill the baddies with a single shot.
(On the NTSC version, select Weapons and highlight ‘ Silenced 9mm’. Then press Left + L1 + R2 + Select + Square + X.)

HARD MODE
Highlight the ‘New Game’ option on the title screen, then hold L1 + L2 + R2 + Square + Circle + X. (Or Left + L1 + R2 + Select + Square + Circle + X on the NTSC version.) You’ll hear "Damn it" if it’s worked. Now, when you go to the option to select difficulty, you’ll be able to choose Hard level.

VIEW FMV
On the first level, enter the bar and shoot the guy in the small crates room. From there, smash and climb through the window and head down the passage to find the cinema (where you find the Sniper Rifle). Stand in the middle doorway and pause the game. Select Options and highlight the Sound (Mono/Stereo) option. Press and hold Select, Square, L2, R2, X. Gabe will say "Got it" if it’s worked. Unpause to enter the cinema. Go through the foyer and enter either curtained doorway to see the game’s FMV sequences (X skips movie, Start exits).

LEVEL SKIP
Pause during play. Highlight the Map option and hold Right + L2 + R2 + Circle + Square + X . You’ll hear a high ringing sound to confirm correct entry. Now go to Options and select the new Cheats option. Choose End Level to skip to the next mission.
Note: This cheat can be used in conjunction with the View Movies one to get a level select (see ‘Mission Select’ for more details).
VIEW MOVIES
Pause during play. Highlight the Briefing option and hold Right + L1 + R2 + Circle + X. You’ll hear a high ringing sound to confirm correct entry. Now go to Options and select Cheats, then Disc 1 (or 2) Movies. In the cinema foyer, go to one of the posters and press Triangle to see that cut-scene. The posters with question marks can be unlocked by playing the game on Hard mode.
Note: This cheat can be used in conjunction with the Level Skip one to get a level select (see ‘Mission Select’ for more details).
SELECT LEVEL
You need to have entered both the Level Skip and View Movies cheats. On the pause screen, select Options, then Cheats, and Disc 1 Movies. In the cinema foyer, press Start for the pause menu. Select Options, then Cheats, and End Level. This quits the game, so start a new one and pause. Return to the Cheats menu to find a new ‘Select Level’ option. Choose it to select any level.
SUPER AGENT
Pause during play. Highlight the Weaponry option and hold L2 + Select + Circle + Square + X.You’ll hear a high ringing sound to confirm correct entry. Now go to Options and select Cheats. Turn the Super Agent option on (by highlighting ‘On’ and pressing Triangle to exit menu). We weren’t sure what this cheat did at first, but it powers up your weapons so you can kill enemies with a single shot to the body – even those wearing flak jackets.
HARD MODE
On the title screen, highlight New Game and hold Up + L1 + R2 + Select + Circle + Square + X to hear a lower ping than usual. Now press X to select One Player to start the game in Hard mode. You’ll know it’s worked as it’ll say ‘Playing on hard difficulty’ when the action starts. When you reach certain points in this mode, you’ll unlock the extra movies in the cinema (see ‘Extra Movies’ box). However, you won’t be able to use the Level Skip or Select Level cheats to do this – they don’t work on Hard Mode!
EXTRA MOVIES
If you use the View Movies cheat to go to the cinema, you’ll notice four posters with question marks on them (two on Disc 1 Movies, two on Disc 2). To unlock these movies, you need to play the game on Hard mode (see Hard Mode cheat) and reach certain points (your character will say "Got it" when this happens)…
Bonus Movie 1: Reach Mission 6 (Colorado Train Ride).
Bonus Movie 2: Reach Mission 12 (Moscow Streets).
Bonus Movie 3: Reach Mission 17 (Agency Bio-Lab).
Bonus Movie 4: Complete the game.
SECRETS
There are many secrets hidden throughout the levels, each unlocking either an extra arena or characters in Two-Player mode. Some secrets are objects to pick up, while others require completing certain tasks (for full details, see PowerStation #49). Every time you get a secret, Gabe/Lian will say "Got it." You‘ll know what’s been unlocked by selecting the Cheats option on the pause screen.
