R' Shmuel took over his father's position after his father passed away in 1793. He also completed the third and final volume of the sefer "Noda B'Yehuda - She'alos Uteshuvos" that his father had been working on. His brother Yisroel then published that volume at his printing shop.
Born: Unknown, however it is noted that he lived a very long life.
Died: 1834 Prague, on the 28th day of Tishrei. He is buried in the Fiberchova cemetery beside his wife.
Father: Rabbi Yechezkel Landau, the Noda B'Yehuda
Mother: Leibe. Died 1789 Prague, on the 12th day of Teves. Buried in the Fiberchova cemetery next to her husband the Noda B'Yehuda. Her father's name was Jacobke.
SPOUSE:
HINDSCHE HELMAN - Married in Berlin in 1770. Died: 1835 Prague, on the 8th of Av, and is buried near her husband. She was the daughter of Feivish Helman who was the head of the Bais Din (Jewish court) in Lissa. Feivish's father was Shmuel Helman who was Av Bais Din in Metz.
CHILDREN:
1)YOSEF LANDAU - Died: 1858 Prague, on the 12th day of Sivan. He was buried in the same spot as his father, and his tombstone is centered on it. Married to Rivka. Rivka's father was R' Wolf Hirsh Toisig of Prague. She died in 1836, on the 22nd day of Av. They had 5 children:
SHRAGA FEIVISH - Died: 1845 Prague, on the 7th day of Adar.
ELKE - Died: 1868 Prague, on the 21st Elul. Married to David Stein. He was the son of R' Hanoch Stein. David died 1880 Prague, on the 11th day of Av.
SEREL - Died: 1875 Prague, on the 5th day of the second Adar. Married to Boruch Gretz. He was the son of R' Simcha Gretz. Boruch died 1875 Prague, on the 1st day of Shevuous
MIREL - Died: 1872 Prague, on the 17th day of Sivan.
FRIMIT - 1872 Prague, on the 14th day of Elul.
2)MOSHE LANDAU - He lived part of his life in Uman, Ukraine. He was a printer, and published numerous Jewish books in Prag. Died: 1862 Constantinograd, on the 17th day of Sivan. Married to Esther. She was the daughter of R' Nachman Nathan Rappaport of Uman. They had a child:
CHAYA SARA - Born approximately 1810 in Uman. Married to R' Zvi Leviton of Constantinograd.
3)YARIT - Died: 1857 Prague, on the 2nd day of Iyur. Married to Lipman Altshul. His father was R' Yaakov Altshul of Prague. Lipman died 1857 Prague, on the 24th of Teves. They had a son:
YECHEZKEL - Died: 1857 Prague, on the 15th day of Adar, Shushan Purim.
4)YECHEZKEL - No information is available. It is believed that he passed away as young boy.
5)A DAUGHTER (name unknown) of Yamenitz - Married to Hertzl Katz
