-=Gamecube....Nintendo actually keeping up with the competition?=-
In case some of you do not already know, Nintendo is coming out with a new system. I'd like to start out saying that I think the name "Gamecube" was thought of at the last minute. In my opinion, they tried to match it with Microsoft's new platform the "X-Box". As much as I like the big N, I still don't like the fact that their new system is named almost identically as a completely different system. Looking past that, everthing seems pretty good. Nintendo is finally switching to discs, instead of using the bulky but durable cartridges. The controllers are shaped similarly to the dual shock controler of the PSX. As much as I hate Sony's system, I think that that general shape of the controller is molded perfectly for the hand. From what I've seen, the graphics are going to be pretty sweet, compliments of the new discs. Well, those are all my opinions.

-=Body Harvest=-
The game Body Harvest combines the bug splattering fun of Jet Force Gemini with the driving experience of Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense. You play as Adam Drake, a 21st century bio engineered soldier with the task of saving the past and defeating the alien menace. You play in five different time periods, Greece 1616, Java 1942, America 1966, Siberia 1991, and Alien Comet 2016. Your main task is to save humans from harvester waves, killing the harvester and any bugs that teleport down with it. The graphics are not great, like the wheels do not move on your vehicles. But, the game play and sheer choice of availiable vehicles makes up for the downfall. One of my personal favorites is the Combine Harvester, found in Siberia. Your use it to run over zombies! :-) The weapons are pretty usual, a pistol, rifle, shotgun, and a special weapon you recieve only after collecting 3 weapon crystals. The enimies don't explode like in JFG, but they still are pretty cool. Most like to come up and gnaw on you, ut as you get into the America stage, you get a big bad bugs with chain guns and missile launchers. They are usually 40 times larger than you. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate this as an 8.
