Yamcha was one of the characters from the original Dragonball series who trained with Goku yet was his enemy for a while. He was extremely shy with women and was always traveling with a cat named Puar. In the Dragonball series, Yamcha followed Goku around while he was journeying to find the seven dragonballs and planned to double-cross him when he did find them. Later he found the importance of the dragonballs and how not to foolishly take them and then became Goku's friend. Yamcha always thought of himself as the desert owner, where he owned all the desert and charged people to cross. He was like a bandit and a robber, and Bulma's boyfriend for a while. In the Dragonball Z series, Yamcha was not much of a main character anymore and was just common to be around all the time. He was killed by the Saiba-men and wished back during the Vegeta series. After that, he was just about a minor character.
