| Trunks is the son of Vegita and Bulma and Son Goten's best friend. Trunks and Goten can be very mischevious and troubling. He reached the level of Super Saiyajin at age seven and can fuse with Goten to be Super Saiyajin 3 Gotenks, who which is more powerful than the originals and temporary. Before any of this happened, the androids created by Dr. Gero were unleashed and out of control, and destroy the towns, cities, and people on Earth. Trunks is now a teenager age 17, and Son Goku had died of a heart attack. The Z fighters all die except Gohan, Bulma, and Trunks. After battling the androids #17 and #18, Gohan dies and Trunks turns Super Saiyajin over his dead body. He is seriously injured battling the androids by himself and is carried home by Bulma. Bulma gives him heart attack pills and a time machine she invented so Trunks could go back in time and save Goku to change the course of history. Trunks goes back in time with a story of the android takeover, and is referred to as Future Trunks, a Super Saiyajin version of Trunks from the future with a sword given to him by Tapion. No one ever knows when and how he got the sword, but its cool anyway. He kills Freeza, saves Goku, and tells everyone the story of the future. He spends time in the time when he was just a baby and was killed by Cell but wished back only to go home to his time in the future. Android 21(Cell) kills Future Trunks and takes his time machine and travels back to kill the Z warriors after absorbing Androids #17 and #18. The Trunks that could turn Super Saiyajin and who was young friends of Son Goten was born after Future Trunks left. He lived through the Cell series and went through many adventures with Son Goten. He fused with Son Goten to stand up against Buu, but was later seperated to their original forms.
