Son Goku is the main character in the Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT series. His real name is Kakaroto and is a member of the powerful Saiyajin race. In Dragonball, Goku was originally a weak-born Saiyajin sent to annaihilate the human race on Earth. A man named Gohan adopted him and accidentally dropped Goku off a cliff, which caused him to forget the Saiyajin mission and become an innocent and happy boy. Goku undertook martial arts training from Kamesennin Mutenroshi(Master Roshi) to become a better fighter and quickly became the strongest fighter on Earth. His best friend Krillin had also taken martial arts with Roshi. Later in the Dragonball series, he goes on a quest with Bulma to find the seven dragonballs, which could grant them any one wish. Goku also marries the Ox King's daughter, Chi Chi, and has a son named Gohan.
In the Z series, Goku's Saiyajin brother Raditz comes to Earth to find him and find how he has progressed. Raditz turned out to be hostile, and Goku died in battle with him. After his death, Goku is brought before King Kai to recieve training in preparation of the arrival of the two other Saiyajins, Nappa and Vegeta.
In the series, Goku plays an important role in the story line. He had another son named Goten, whom which becomes a very powerful person along with fusing with his friend Trunks. Goku learned the Kamehameha which is used throughout the series and other attacks. He is killed again when Cell exploded and was brought back to life to destroy Buu. Goku is also the first in the series who can turn Super Saiyajin, where he becomes stronger, his eyes turn green and hair turns yellow, and the levels of Super Saiyajin 1, 2, 3, and 4. Goku can fuse with Vegita to become Vegito and Gogeta. Only his son Gohan and legendary Super Saiyajin Brolly are stronger.
