A Moment Spare
"Do you have a moment spare?
I would forever linger there" (borrowed from Amanda Strobel)
Locked into your heart's embrace
To gaze eternal on your face
Do you have a hand to lend?
My hold on it would never end
I'd walk the desert stride for stride
Remaining steadfast at your side
Do you have a heart to give?
My heart would die in yours to live
The choice is yours to kill or save
A love so true and strong and brave

I Captured Mr. Sun
One morning I rose before
Miss Moon had quite gone to bed,
And I quickly got into pants
And shirt and went out
With my picture-taker.
I got up on a high place to
See Mr. Sun wake
Up and hear a rooster
Crow. When Mr. Sun parted
The bedcurtains and appeared,
I pressed the black
Button and captured him in his
Nightclothes, sitting on his bed.

Listener
I
hush and quiet your wild screams
I can't hear a thing
above this idiotic noise
the melody is lost to me
am I the only one who cares to hear?
II
senseless words echo from your voice
I hear you speak, saying nothing
I hear the anguished cries
behing your everyday banter
am I the only one who really listens?
III
silence pounds my solemn ears
voices of nonsense speak no more
and even the noise that drove me insane
has faded and drifted away
there is no one left here to listen
to my tragic scream
of loneliness and fear and rage
this terrified voice that whimpers into silence:
"come back"

(Untitled)
Colors of music and movement
Poetry in literal motion
Dance with me
Feel the rhythm sway your body
Can flight be imprisoned in words?

Breeze In The Night
I am the breeze caressing your cheek
the night air embalming the memory
of one enchanted evening
I wonder if you feel my touch in the night
remembering how these fingers
sifted your hair
I hear a whisper - your soft promises of more to come
I see your face in my mirror
I feel your skin against mine
I touch you - and encounter air
I worry that you don't feel the same
promises have been broken
words have been empty for me
I cry deep in my heart for something I fear -
that everlasting vow of fidelity
love surpassing eternity
I try to imagine your lips brushing mine
I dream of the day I will again see your smile
But until then
I will ever be
a breeze caressing your cheek
