RESIDENT EVIL 2

Alternate Costumes:
To get the special costumes you must do the following.

Start a new game on normal difficulty. Don't pick up anything. When you get to the gate that leads to the police station go down the stairs. Down there will be Brad Vickers, the pilot from Resident Evil (he's a ZOMBIE!) Head past him and go up the stairs. Get the herb from the bushes closest to the stairs. Go in the R.P.D. and get the bullets at the desk in the back of the room. Go back to Brad and fill that damb zombie full of bullets. Inspect him and take the special key.

When you get to the dark room there are some lockers, use the key to unlock one and get the costumes. With Claire you get a cool denim jaket and the Colt S.A.A. gun. With Leon you either can choose a leather jacket with a skull on the back or a tank top and a baseball hat.

Note: The quickest way to kill Brad is to get close then walk backwards. Let him lunge at your feet then stomp him in the head. This saves a lot of bullets and only takes away 1/8th of you health.

Bonus Weapons:
If you finish the game in 2 1/2 hours or less on mission A and get a rank of A or B, you will get the rocket launcher with infinite rounds.

On Mission B you have two options: If you finish the game with an A or B ranking and under 3 hours, you'll get infinite sub-machine gun. If you finish the game with an A or B ranking in under 2 1/2 hours you will get infinite rocket launcher sub-machine gun and the almighty gatling gun.

Extra Ammo:
When you are playing as Leon and get the custom parts for a gun don't use them right away. Instead, use all of that ammo up first and then combine them with the custom parts. Bam! Your weapon is full to its mqaximum. Who should say no to free ammo?

Film "D" :
To get film "D", go to the STARS room, second floor of the Police building, and check the desk on the left 50 times. It is a picture of Rebecca.

Hidden Shotgun Shells:
You get the shells in the room where you use the two red jewels. Once the camera angle changes check the two crates with one stacked on top of the other.

One-Hit Gator Kill:
When you fight the gator boss, he starts coming towards you and you see a yellow light on the left wall. If you inspect the light a cylinder will fall and the gator will eat it. While the cylinder is in its mouth, shoot it and the gator will explode!

Play as Hunk:
To play as Hunk, beat the A and B games of either character (Leon or Claire) with an A rating on both. Hunk is one of the SWAT members from Umbrella who's mission is to get to the roof-top from the sewers.

Play as Tofu:
To play as Tofu (very strange), you beat 6 scenarios with an A ranking. Tofu's mission is the same as Hunk's -- get to the rooftop from the sewers. However, it's much harder this time as Tofu is only armed with a knife and cannot use guns!

Ranking System:
To get an A ranking, beat the game in under three hours and don't use any First Aid sprays. (You can use herbs, though.)

To get a B ranking, just beat the game in under three hours.

To get a C ranking, finish the game in five to seven hours.

For a D rating, finish the game in seven hours or more. Note that your rank will be lowered by one grade if you use any special weapons or if you saved more than 12 times.

Reserve Power Control:
To activate reserve power, enter the sequence UP, DOWN, UP, UP, DOWN or UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, UP.

Safe Combination:
The combination for the safe is 2236.

Super Stamina:
For limited invulnerability, mix green, red and blue herbs.

RESIDENT EVIL

Finish the game and save Chris or Jill you will get the secret key. Then when you finish the game save it and then load the saved game next time and you will start with the seceret key which gives you the other clothes for the person you finshed the game with last. All you have to do next is find the locked door its in the house.

If you finish the game in less 3 hours, when you start again you get a big rocket launcher (unlimitted ammo) you destroy all monsters in one shoot.

Start the game with Jill. When to go off into the dining room, walk back to the main hallway. Wesker will say "go investigate that shot." Go back to the dining room and Barry will say "where did you go?" Walk by the Grandfather clock and a zombie will appear. Barry will shoot him and curse at him. Go visit Kenneth (the place where you met the first zombie) and he will have no legs or clips. The game is to "be easier".

There are 2 rooms with numeric keypads. One of them is the room that contains the bottles and the chemicals to make V-Jolt. The code to enter the room is 345. You will find the 4 bottles to make V-Jolt on the 2 shelves in the room. There is also some writing on the wall inside the room, make sure you read it.

To enter the weapon screen anytime in game quickly press R1, R1, R2, R2, Left, Left and x, x. Remember do this really quickly and you will have a zombies head and a rocket launcher.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT

Double items:
Highlight the "Advanced" option on the game mode screen and hold Right until the pointer turns green. Begin game play and double the normal amount of items, including ink ribbons and ammunition, will be available.

Change clothes:
Rescue the other two players and finish the game. The phrase "You've got the special key" will appear after the credits. Save the game. Start the game that was just saved. Enter the room with the large mirror on the second floor of the mansion. Unlock the door in the back. Enter the closet and move all the way to the end of the rack of clothes. A message asking "There is an outfit that fits you perfectly, do you want to put it on?" will appear. Select "Yes" to change your character's clothes.

Reset game:
Pause the game during play and press Start + Select. The game will reset and return to the main menu.

Unlimited rocket launcher:
Finish the game within three hours without rescuing anyone. A rocket will appear after the credits. Choose to continue playing after the game restarts. The rocket launcher will be available when the new game begins. Note that the rocket launcher does not shoot well upwards or downwards.

Unlimited magnum:
Select advanced mode and complete the game as either character in any amount of time. The unlimited magnum will be available when the game is replayed. This weapon makes it easier to complete the game in under three hours for the unlimited rocket launcher, at which point both weapons will be available for another game.

RIDGE RACER TYPE 4

Bonus vehicles
Unlock all 320 cars in the game. Then the Pac-Man character, which can run at 252 km/h, and the Sony Eat'em Up car will be selectable in time attack mode.

Extra Trial mode
Successfully complete Gran Prix mode.

Rage Racer information
Use a memory card with a saved game file from Rage Racer to place your old team information on the cars in Ridge Racer Type 4.

Four player mode
Connect two PlayStations via a link cable. Then a "Link Battle" mode that allows a simultaneous four player game will appear.

Extra cars
To access eight more car choices, you must destroy all the aliens in the Galaga '88 game that appears during loading. If you have a memory card, save the game after doing this as it will mean you won't have to keep doing this every time the game loads.

Secret bonus
Get a hit rate of zero in the Galaga '88 game and you will get a secret bonus.

Extra tracks
By coming first in all three tracks (Novice, Advanced, Expert), you will gain the ability to race the tracks again in reverse. Furthermore, you get the option to pick one of four engines for use in your car.

Race settings
By coming first in all six tracks (normal and reverse tracks in Novice, Advanced and Expert), you will gain the ability to select the time of day to race: Normal, Noon, Evening and Night.

Time trial techniques
There are three secret cars in Time Trials: 13th Racer (Novice), 13th Racing Kid (Advanced), White Racer (Expert). To beat any of the secret cars, you have to hit then as they attempt to pass you. This will make the secret cars slow down a lot. You've had it if they get past you as they are impossible to catch. You don't have to hit then until the second lap; the rear view mirror will enable you to see when they are approaching. Winning the Time Trials allows you to select the secret cars -- this gives you a total of 15 cars to choose from.

Light tricks
Holding down L1 and R1 while at the main screen (the one which displays Game Start and Options) enables you to control the positioning and intensity of the spotlight. Use the directional keys and other buttons to alter settings. Triangle zooms out while Cross zooms in. L1 and R1 must be held down at all times.

Mirror mode
To race in inverted mode -- so that what was a right turn becomes a left turn and vice versa -- start the game as normal. When you leave the starting grid, drive to the section just before the main straight, stop when you get there, turn the car around so you can see the solid brick wall at the end of the road and drive straight at the wall until you hit it. Your car will break through the wall and exit the way it entered. The track will now be inverted.

RIDGE RACER

Race all 1st 4 races then you get the backwards tracks. Go to the Time Trial Extra track. On the 1st bridge you'll see the black car. Once you've beaten him on the Time Trial Extra race, you can play as the black car.

The basic tip for Ridge Racer is of course to complete the Galaxian sequence while the game loads. This shouldn't be too hard once you've played it a few times. You'll get to drive all the different cars.

Horizontal (X-Axis) track inversion. To race in inverted mode (That is whatever used to be a RIGHT hand turn is now a LEFT hand turn and vice-versa) start the game as you normally would, then when leaving the starting grid drive out to just before you join the main straight. Stop and turn the car around so you can see the 'solid' brick wall at the end of the roadway. Drive straight at the wall and keep accelerating until you 'hit' the wall. Your car will 'break' through and come back the same way it entered, however the X-axis will now be switched.

ROAD RASH 3D

Avoid Car Crashes:
Don't you just hate it that when a car comes right at you and knocks you off your bike? Well this tip lets you ramp over that car. When you're a few seconds from crashing, hit the gas button 2 or 3 times allowing you to pull off a wheelie and use the car as a ramp.

Note: This tip only works with oncoming cars.

Easy "Blast 2X":
While racing, hit the ZOOM OUT button then hold the REARVIEW MIRROR button and release ZOOM OUT. You should now have Blast 2X without having to do the annoying "looking back" part.

Playing Tips:
Road Rash 3D is very different from previous versions of Road Rash, especially in its realistic riding. I recommend that for the first time you play a Big Game, use the Techgeist entry-level bike (DeMoto 500), because it has the best handling, and is definitely the easiest to use. Avoid the DeSades bikes, because they're neither incredibly fast nor very good at handling. The Dewley bikes, are the fastest on the straights but slowest in the corners. And the Racer bikes are the fastest, and the choice of advanced players bacause of their speed and razor sharp responses, which can be a hindrance to less experienced Rashers.

Before you permanently blow all your cash on a new bike, be sure to save the game before you do so. Then, if you decide that the bike is just not right for you (or it just sucks, period) you can go back and get a different one. Before you go on to level 2, BUY A NEW BIKE. Level 2 is hard. Not TOO hard, but it is a difficult transition from level 1. If you don't have a new (2nd stage) bike, you're screwed. I have a DMG 747 and the races are still hard. I'm not sure if I want to go to level 3.

Anyway, bikes aside, you NEED TO SLOW DOWN INTO THE CORNERS. If you don't, you'll find yourself sliding across the asphalt, onto the shoulder, and possibly up a mountain side. Another important thing is to lean more often than you expect. On a gradual turn, mashing the D-pad will send you sliding to hit a car or flying off the bike. Speaking of cars, there's a lot more trafficthan other versions, especially in the towns, with the multi-lane roads.

Oh yes, and another cool point of Road Rash 3D is that all of the vehicles are real, and I must've seen maybe 20 different models, from a Dodge Ram to a Honda Civic CRX. That about wraps it up. All in all, time trials are a great way to learn the tracks, thrash races are a good way to learn to fight while racing, and the Big Game is just pure fun.

Shortcut for Level 2:
When you are going from Kaffe Koma to the Der Panzer Club there is a shortcut that will shave about 2 1/2 miles off the race. It is a challege to do but worth it. Go straight for 3 miles then hang a left. It will tell you to go straight. Ignore the wrong way sign and just follow the road to the Der Panzer Club. This is very helpful. I would only suggest this shortcut for experienced rashers.

Ticket Prevention:
When getting busted, pause and restart the race. This will get you out of a ticket and save you money.

How to access the extra cars:
Beat Galaga '88 by getting a Perfect score of 40
Go to the Select option and you can pick your cars

How to access the secret cars:
Take first in each track (novice, advanced, expert) then go back and race
each track in Time Trial mode. After beating a track you will then have
access to the special car for that track. The 3 cars are: Devil #13, Kid Car
#13 and White Angel #0

How to access the secret bonus
Do not shoot any of the ships in the game Galaga '88. After all the ships
have gone by, the game will display a small firework burst and say you have
accessed the secret bonus. Go to the Other screen and you will now have
access to set the game setting, from Normal, Morning, Evening and Night.

To access the secret 4WD game in RRR you must first get a perfect score and
100% hit rate in the Glaxian game at the start. To do this all you need to do is Hold
DOWN, L1, R2, TRIANGLE and SELECT whilst the game is booting up. Keep holding
them for the entire Glaxian game and Bingo you will get 100% in the game. When
you start any race or TT you will have a very funny looking 4WD vehicle.

Select "Options" from the main menu. Then, enter the "Secret Options" screen and press Up, Down, L1, Circle(2), R1, R2, L1.
