 The Amazoness (Amazon) Quartet is a band of 4 girls (PallaPalla/ParaPara, CereCere/CeleCele, VesVes/VesuVesu, and JunJun) that were summoned (by Zirconia) to complete the mission that the Amazon Trio failed at. They are more focused on having fun and playing practical jokes than finding out the whereabouts of the Dream Mirror that Pegasus is in (the key to the Golden Crystal). They have a great deal of power potential (which Zirconia doesn't want them to find out about, for the fear that they may gang up on her and defeat her). They do, however, end up finding out that Nephrenia and the Dead Moon are just using them. In rebellion, they destroy their own sources of power (their power orbs) and rely on normal tactics to play various jokes on Queen Nephrenia. (*As it turns out, the members of the Amazoness Quartet end up becoming honorary Sailor Senshi,assigned to protect Rini).(Their attack is formally called the Amazoness Jungle Arrow). (In the SailorMoon Sailor Stars manga, they play an important role (in the fight against the manga-exclusive Sailor Anima Mates (Heavy Metal Papillon, Lethe, Chi, Phi, and Mnemosyne).
BACKSTAGE AT THE AMAZONESS QUARTET SHOW (FACTOIDS):
*Unlike how the SM Super S anime shows the Quartet at constant odds with Zirconia, they seem to work well (and in submission to) with 'ole "Zirkman" ^_^.
*In the SailorMoon Super S manga, the Amazoness Quartet show up even before the Trio! They are present from the very beginning of the Super S manga. PallaPalla, in fact, is the one that uses her Billiar Ball magic to bring out the human likenesses out of a fish, tiger, and hawk to create the Amazon Trio!
VesVes(VesuVesu): She is presumed to be the "unofficial" leader of the Amazoness Quartet. She has a lot of spunk and says exactily what is on her mind (regardless of time and/or people around). She doesn't have a defined personality (like the other members of the Amazoness Quartet do), but more than makes up for it in the amount of attacks she makes. (She goes after more people for their Dream Mirrors than her 3 comrades). She is always in the arguments that the Amazoness Quartet have about who will be the one to go after the next target. VesVes' most noteable target is Rini's friends, Momoko (Melanie in the CWI dub). She is known to be the "master" of beasts and uses her trademark weapon, her whip, to summon the Lemure she's going to use to aid her in her particular mission. (*VesVes' signature color is red).
BACKSTAGE AT THE AMAZONESS QUARTET SHOW (FACTOIDS):
*VesuVesu is the first and only member of the Amazoness Quartet to challenge Zirconia for leadership within the Dead Moon Circus. In their first "out in the open" episode in the Super S anime (after the death of the Amazon Trio), VesuVesu proclaims that Zirconia is way too old for the job (being the leader) and surprise attacks the old hag with everything her Billiard Ball can put out! VesuVesu thinks that she is winning (and so does everyone else), but Zirconia pulls out all of the stops and uses his full power to blast VesuVesu from out of mid-air and into CereCere, PallaPalla, and JunJun.
*VesuVesu also happens to be the Quartet member to steal the Golden Crystal from Queen Nehelenia/Neherenia at the Senshi's final battle with the Dead Moon Circus Queen (the other Amazoness Quartet members replace the Crystal with a decoy pineapple; man, did Nehelenia get mad!). She tosses it to Sailor Moon, saying that she should use its awesome powers to save the world and destroy the evil Queen Nehelenia!
PallaPalla(ParaPara): PallaPalla is the least reliable member of the Amazoness Quartet for 2 reasons: she's a crybaby and complains a lot and she's also a little "crazy" and "not all there". (She proves this as she is playing with some of her dolls one day. One day, she "finds out" that one of her dolls has a toothache. And to cure the toothache, she pulled off the doll's head! Why? So that the tooth would not hurt anymore! ^o^). PallaPalla controls Lemures in the shapes of spheres and is able to make her stuffed animals and doll come to life (to help her steal Dream Mirrors). She is the only member of the Amazoness Quartet with the the distinction of coming the closest to capturing the Dream Mirror that contained Pegasus. (She was about t o take it out of Rini when she got distracted by a rose at the last second! DARN HER LUCK! ^_^). PallaPalla is also known to be the "master" of balancing balls. (*Her signature color is blue).
BACKSTAGE AT THE AMAZONESS QUARTET SHOW (FACTOIDS):
*PallaPalla is the one responsible for the infamous scene in the Super S anime where Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini/ChibiMoon get their ages switched! You see, it all started when PallaPalla decided to decided to disguise herself as a puppeteer and lead throngs of Juuban's people (Crossroads) into letting her steal their Dream Mirrors. Sailor Moon and Sailor MiniMoon come to the rescue, but end up getting into a huge argument over some silly topic (^_^). PallaPalla siezes this opprotunity to play a joke on the 2 Senshi and switch their ages. She thinks that she has done them a favor (in classic Amazoness Quartet logic ^_^) and quickly leaves the 2 as they are: a tall MiniMoon and midget Moon o^_^o!
CereCere(CeleCele): CereCere is the most conceited member of the Amazoness Quartet. She really doesn't do anything unless she is interested in the potential target (if you know what I mean^_^). And when CereCere finds an interesting target, she and the other members of the Amazoness Quartet fight over who will be the one to go after it! Because she wants to get what she wants and will stop at nothing to do so, she uses sneaky, under-handed tricks (to put the other members of the Quartet to sleep while she takes the target for herself!). She is known as the magician of flowers and shows it off very well. She not only uses flowers in her regular attacks, but also has Lemures in the shapes of flowers and plants. She is also a very skilled trapeeze artist! (^_^). (*CereCere's signature color is yellow).
BACKSTAGE AT THE AMAZONESS QUARTET SHOW (FACTOIDS):
*CereCere's most popular Dream Mirror target is a young man who painted portraits of people in the park. She found out about his amazing talent and decided to "swoon" him into painting her own portrait. But this artist wasn't your ordinary artist: he stayed true to his works of truth, even though most people found fault in the truth they say in their own portraits and never payed him. anyway, CereCere leads the young artist to her "mansion" of sorts and has him paint her portrait. After he is done (and very satisfied with the turnout), CereCere views it and finds that it is not up to her standards AT ALL! She pressures him into "compromising with his artistic truthfulness and integrity until he finally gives in and redoes her portrait, exactly as she likes it. not long after he finishes, he becomes another CereCere Dream Mirror victim.
JunJun: JunJun is the most athletic member of the Amazoness Quartet. She didn't have too many targets of her own in the series (only 2), but they were good ones. Her most noteable target is Rini's friend, Kyuusuke (Kelly in the CWI dub). Unlike the other members of the Quartet, she was actcually "decent" and "kind" and "helpful", even though she may not have known that she was at the time. She seesm to have a lot of heart. In an episode from the series, she coaches Kyuusuke in a sporting event (the pommel horse/ box horse). She does do by creating the illusion of a bear chasing Kyuusuke (and Kyuusuke gets scared, of course). Wanting to get away from the bear, Kyuusuke jumps over the box horse without any problems! (The lesson that JunJun teaches Kyuusuke is that you can do anything that you want to. All you need is motivation!). She isn't all nice, however. By using her extreme strength and physical know-how, she can easily be considered one of the toughest members of the Amazoness Quartet. (*Her signature color is green). She is a cool Amazoness! (^_^).
BACKSTAGE AT THE AMAZONESS QUARTET SHOW (FACTOIDS):
*The quality kept the same in both the dubbed and Japanese versions of SailorMoon Super S for JunJun was her gravely voice (that hinted to viewers about her "manly" qualities of strength and ingenuity).
ENDING:
-THE QUARTET END UP STEALING THE GOLDEN CRYSTAL (THAT NEPHRENIA ENDS UP CAPTURING ) AND GIVE IT BACK TO PEGASUS.
-THE INNER SAILOR SENSHI GO TO QUEEN NEPHRENIA'S PALACE IN HER DARK DIMENSION TO SAVE THE ALLREADY CAPTURED RINI.
-NEPHRENIA TRAPS THE INNER SENSHI IN MIRRORS!
-NEPHRENIA ALSO TRAPS THE AMAZONESS QUARTET IN MIRRORS! (FOR NOT OBEYING HER ORDERS).
-NEPHRENIA PROCEEDS TO COVER THE EARTH IN TOTAL DARKNESS.
-SAILOR CHIBI-MOON AND QUEEN NEPHRENIA BATTLE. CHIBI-MOON IS THEN SUCCESSFUL IS RELEASING THE INNER SENSHI FROM THEIR MIRROR PRISONS!
-SAILOR MOON AND SAILOR CHIBI-MOON USE ALL OF THEIR POWERS (AS WELL AS THE POWERS OF THE PEOPLE OF EARTH) AND IN A SHOUT OF "MOON CRISIS POWER", THE DARKNEDD LIFTED OFF THE EARTH!
-QUEEN NEPHRENIA WAS FURIOUS, SO SHE GRABBED SAILOR CHIBI-MOON AND TOSSED HER DOWN FROM AN UNBELIEVEABLE HEIGHT. JUST WHEN EVERYONE THINKS THAT CHIBI-MOON IS GOING TO DIE, PEGASUS FLIES IN AND GIVES CHIBI-MOON HIS WINGS TO FLOAT TO THE GROUND ON.
-MEANWHILE, STILL THINKING THAT CHIBI-MOON WAS GOING TO DIE, QUEEN NEPHRENIA SEALED HERSELF IN HER OWN SPECIALIZED MIRROR (FOR THE SIMPLE REASON OF WANTING TO STAY BEAUTIFUL FOREVER).
-THE EARTH IS SAVED AND PEGASUS RETURNS TO HIS REAL HOME, ERUSION (ELYSION). |
