Highlights of the Successor (Collective Bargaining) Agreement

Preamble
The purpose of this agreement shall be to delineate the rights of employees in such a manner as to promote excellence in the delivery of quality educational services to the students of the District and the Bernalillo School District Community. (page 1)

3. Grievance Procedure:

Employees are required to follow the chain command. Employees who have questions regarding the chain of command should consult with their supervisor or the Human Resources Director. Empoyees should use the provided grievance forms when addressing an issue. It is extremely imperative that employees do not make procedural defects in the filing of a grievance. A grievance must be filed within (20) days after an employee knew or should have known of the occurrence of the event upon which the grievance is based. (page 2)

4. Employee-Administration Liaison Commiteee:

Liaison Committee to meet once per month to review and discuss items of interest to either party. The Assoiciation's President will meet with the Superintendent periodically twice a month to coordinate communications and activities and discuss the administration of this agreement (page 5)

8. Hours and Work Load:

B. 1. b When delayed openings occur due to inclement weather, the work day of employees will be adjusted the same amount of time as students' delayed reporting. When inclement weather requries early dismissal, employees dismissal will be dependent on the presence of student and other operational needs. The safety of students and employees shall be the determining factor. (page 8)
