Dive with a Twist In order for this to work you'll have to dive from an extreme height. Perform a dive as usual. As your falling, press and hold the roll button and Lara should do a roll in mid-air! Exploding Lara While playing, sidestep Left, then Right, then Left, then hold WALK and step Forward, then step Backwards. Next, turn Lara around three times in any direction, then jump forward and while in the air press the ROLL button. Get Outside of Lara's Front Gate In the practice level you can get outside of Lara's front gate. Simply go to the last obstacle(the rope slide) walk to the edge with the rope slide and side step right all the way you can. After this you must turn about an 1/8 of a turn towards the wall. Now jump in the air, without pushing any direction buttons, while in the air press the look button and forward, and let go before landing. Repeat this process a few more times and by about the third jump you should be on top of the tower and able to jump onto Lara's outside wall. Don't ask me why this happens must be a glich in the game. From here you can get outside of Lara's front gate or even get a view of her hedge maze, from above. Goodbye Butler Tired of the pesky butler following you around everywhere in Lara's home? Walk into the kitchen and open the freezer, go inside and wait for the butler to arrive. Once he comes in jump over him and close the door behind you. Bye, bye, butler. Handstand When Lara is hanging from a ledge, hold the WALK button and press UP to do a handstand. Help on Barkhang Monastery When playing the level "Barkhank Monestery," help the monks kill the army guys and don't shoot any of the monks. In return, they'll help you kill all of the tougher guys while you loose minimal life. Ice Palace Boss Tip When the Ice Palace boss comes toward you go toward the upper left corner furhtest away from the gong. Do not go down the ladder, but turn around and blast away. The Ice Boss connot hurt you while you are in the corner. Infinite Flares During game play press L2 four times. It won't show up on your inventory screen, but they are there. To use them, simply press Triangle and L2 while playing. Level Skip 1) Sidestep left, sidestep right, sidestep left 2) Hold the WALK button and move backwards then forwards. Offshore Rig Tip In the beginning of the level, make your way to the pool and run past the two guards. When you get to the windows section, run into the window, then push the ROLL button. If you were close enough you'll wind up on the other side of the glass with a headstart on your pursuers. Opera House Tip At the begining of the Opera House move in front of the swinging box. Take out your Uzis, run forward, press CIRCLE and do a backflip. As soon as you're off the plank, start firing to kill the goon below. Secret Room in Lara's House When you explore the outside of the house go to the front door and open it. Walk straight in and look at the two halls on each side of the clock. You will be coming back to the righthand hall after you hit the switch I'm getting ready to tell you about. Leave from the door you just opened and go to your left, head into the maze. Go left always in the maze unless your only option is to go right. When you get to the back of the maze you will see a brick wall, look down the hall and you will see two openings. Take the first opening to the right and fall into the hole. Then go to the end of the hall and jump out, push the button on the wall and you will see a cinema of the door opening back in the house. This door is timed, so you have to be fast. Go back the way you came in, jump out of the hole and go left. Then keep following the maze turning right everytime unless you have to turn left. Exit the maze at the end and run back into the house and through the door. It leads to the basement below, where you'll you will see several chests and windows on each side. It looks like a huge statue is on the right. Note: When you find the lever that you have to pull to access the secret room, be sure to take the flares on the right hand side. It'll make the journey back much easier. Shortcuts Thru Bartoli's Hideout After you get the Stone Dragon, go to the previous room where you flipped the secret switch. Break out to the window where there will be a guard that drops the Uzi Clip. Go to the left side of the balcony and in the corner of the two railings. Face the orange building with shingles on the roof. Do a standing jump grab and twist right or left a little. You should grab the shingles. Get the Detonator Key and continue your level. Actually, you don't need the Detonator Key to complete Bartoli's Hideout. Go to the left side of the white building you are supposed to blow up. Hold the Action button and press Up. You should vault up the roof. Find the hole, drop down and exit. Turn on the Radio You can turn on Lara's radio in her house. Enter her house, but instead of going to the hall to the kitchen, go to the opposite hallway. Head towards the pool and when you are 3/4 of the way there you look to the right and you see something brass and white. That is her stereo. Sidestep over a little bit and there is a gray panel that is the on/off switch. Press it to turn on the music. Venice Tip To avoid the timed sequence at the end of the Venice section, just leave the boat in the room where the last swich is that opens the exit and swim out under the door and then swim to the exit. You'll get another boat at the start of Bartoli's Hideout. TOMB RAIDER III: ADVENTURES OF LARA CROFT All Secrets and Keys While playing press L2x5, R2, L2x3, R2, L2, R2, L2x2, R2, L2x2, R2, L2x2. All Weapons, Medkits, Flares and Save Crystals While playing press L2, R2x2, L2x4, R2, L2, R2x2, L2, R2x2, L2x2, R2, L2x2, R2. Beat Thames Wharf in Under 3 Minutes! At the start of the level, turn around and run onto the long catwalk that leads into the wall. Then, get enough running room to do a dive over the slanted portion of the wall. There is a glitch that puts you onto the other side. Grab the save crystal then jump onto the ledge that overlooks the crane. Jump two platforms down to your left and position yourself at an angle to jump onto the small platform located near the barbwire fencing. Jump down onto it without a running start and make sure not to hit your head otherwise you'll fall. From here, leap and grab onto the ledge with the barbwire fence and walk carefully up the slanted portion. Continue up towards the giant cathedral and kill the mercanaries. Then, drop down onto the ledge where the a video comes on and you've completed the level. Find the Key in Lara's House To find the key to Lara's race track you first need to lock the butler in the freezer. Then go to your bed room and get the flairs in the room next to her bed. Next go down the hall and go into the attic and light a flair. Find the green or blue box and push it forword twice. Leave the attic and go to the library in the upstairs. On the bookshelf on the wall on the right there is a book that you have to push. After you push it the fire in the fire place will go out. Go into the fire place and turn left you should be abel to climb the wall to a secret passage follow the passage to a room. In the room climb up onto the ledge and push the box from the attic to the left. Then go to the other end of the ledge, light a flair and pull the lever on the wall. While the door opening scene runs press CIRCLE to turn around and run to the door under the stairs. Once down there find another green box and pull it back once and to the right once. Jump up into the secret passage and into the water. Swim around the tank to the other side but stay neer the glass and you find the key in the water. You can find it by looking around the fish tank in the basement. Level Skip While playing press L2, R2, L2x2, R2, L2, R2, L2, R2, L2x4, R2, L2, R2x4, L2. Racetrack Key To get the racetrack key press R2, L2x3, R2, L2x6, R2, L2x5, R2, L2x2 while playing in Lara's manshion. Restore Health While playing press R2, R2, L2, R2, L2, L2, L2, L2, L2, L2, R2, L2, L2, L2, R2, L2, L2, L2, L2, L2. Secret Room in Lara's Mansion When you enter the mansion go to her pool. Behind the diving board there is a switch. Press it to open a door in the main room with a switch behind it. Pull the switch and quickly turn around and sprint for the room across the hall. Inside you'll find some of the artifacts she's collected on her adventures. Two-Faced Lara While I was on the India:Temple stage I entered the "All Weapons" cheat and then the "Level Skip" cheat around three or four times until I got to the choice of which countries to go to. (I didn't save, by the way.) I then chose London, where Lara fell to her death in the very first part of the stage. I chose exit to title, and then Lara's home. When Lara came on, she had two faces in one head...pretty gruesome karma for using the cheats earlier in the game. SYPHON FILTER All Weapons and Infinite Ammo Pause the game and highlight the Weapons menu. Now press and hold RIGHT + L2 + R2 + CIRCLE + SQUARE + X. Defeating Anton Girdeaux When playing against Anton Girdeaux, try to always keep a pole between you and him. Then he will be unable to see you. Hold L1 to manually aim whatever weapon you want. (However, I do advise against either of the sniper rifles as they are rather slow.) Then hold L2 or R2 to peek out from behind the pole. Fire only at his gas pack on his back. Otherwise it will hit his body armor. You can see his gas pack from behind him when he turns to fire. Fire at the pack and let go of L1 and the other shoulder button and press L2 or R2 by themselves to crank your tail away from the flames. Repeat this about 5 times with .45 or about 10 times with the 9mm. Defeating Rhoemer Before turning off the computer grab the gas grenades (you should do it quick because you are timed) then before you turn off the computer through a gas grenade behind you in the entrance way that Rhoemer comes in. As soon as the cinema ends He will instantly die. No effort or frustrating deaths needed. Defeating the Chopper Beating the chopper can be tough unless you know the proper way. First you will need to learn the choppers two basic attack patterns and to be smart about evading the its fire. What it does is that it kinda strafes from side to side shooting bursts at you and then it drops down below the fence. Go to the edge and hold the lock on button and start strafing and then start shootin. Repeat this step as much as you can until he starts smoking. After it starts smoking, it unload a whole ton of lead at you so you better be good at side stepping. First stand facing the ledge its rising from and when it appears, lock on and roll ( while shooting ) along the edge as fast as possible from on corner to the other. Its almost beat when it passe overhead so when it does that just lock on and fire away and you should have it. Sometimes the chopper might drop some terrorists down but they shouldnt be too much of a problem, just get in some quick head shots then focus on the chopper again. Easier Enemies To make your enemies easier to kill, pause the game and highlight the MAP entry. While it's highlighted, press and hold Right, R1, L2, X. A laugh will confirm the code. Get the M-79 and Grenades To get the M-79 in the first level, go to the subway and turn right twice until your on the subway track. Then get on the sidewalk and go forward. Kill the guy running at you and climb into a square shaped hole. If you go right, you will find two boxes, one with granades and the other a flak jacket. If you decied to go right you will have to climb throught another hole. Hop in to the hole and turn on your flash light and look around, you will soon find the M-79 in a box. Harder Game At the title screen press and hold Left, L1, R2, Select, Square, Circle, and X. The word "dammit" will confirm the code. Level 2 Tips Once the movie stops playing, turn right and go straight until you reach the end of the first destroyed subway car. Turn left and cross the tracks. Turn left again, go straight until you see the blazing guy running at you screaming. Back away from him until he falls down and quits burning. Now, go forward again, turning to the right and fighting the bad guys that show up. Again cross the tracks straight in front of you. Turn right to the subway car and climb up the subway car. Go forward until Lian calls. After listening to her call, go straight to the end of the subway car and jump off the end. Go forward, but beware, there is a bad guy with an M-16 and grenades, as well as two others on the right-hand side of the tracks as you make your way forward. Go straight forward until you reach the end of the track where a crashed subway car is. Turn right and walk on the tracks, shooting the bad guy on the car above you. Once you reach the edge of the track, push triangle to retrieve the C4. Now turn right and head back down the tracks slowly and watching for the grenade lobbing baddy on the left. Keep your distance and kill him. Then climb up on the platform on the side that he was on. Don't forget to retrieve the ammo from the dead guys as you pass. Go left after passing the dead grenade thrower and head down that side of the platform until you reach the tipped over, red, soda machine. Climb up the left side of the soda machine. Turn left until you see the brown cement above you. Jump and climb up onto this. Cross the brown cement until you reach the traffic symbol, shooting bad guy that is now below you. Turn left and then jump and climb up again. Turn 180 degrees to face white cement block above you and jump and climp up onto it. Now turn left and go forward until underneath the horizontal pipe. Jump up and grab onto this and shimmy over to the right until you can go no further. Then drop down. Go forward, avoiding the small whole in front of you. Lian will contact you again at this point with another message. Continue to go forward all the way the the blocked passage entrance to the subway. Plant your C4 on the blocked passage and get out of there. Once the C4 explodes, opening up the passage, stick around to cover the CBDC agent while he disarms the bomb on the tracks. You will have to fight several bad guys here. Once all the baddies are dead, climb back up on the subway platform and turn left and go straight to the first right. Then go straight across the tracks, climb up and go left. Run until you can go no further and shut off the gas mains. Turn back around and go straight, backtracking across the tracks where you came from. Go back across the platform, taking the first left and continue straight to the next left and turn left again. Go forward to the train tracks, jump down and go right, going all the way to the subway car in the tunnel. Climb the box and then climb up onto the train. Go forward. Lian will again contact you here with another message. Continue to go forward off of the train. Continue forward slowly, waiting for the flaming bad guy running towards you. Turn the way you were coming from and run back towards the train to escape the crispy critter. Be ready to fight the bad guy on top of the train. Kill him. Turn back around and continue the way you were originally headed when you first left the top of the train. Climp up on the box next to the next subway train and then onto the train, killing the enemy that is standing there waiting for you. Go forward to the other end of the train and jump down. Once you've gotten down and gone forward a little, another movie starts signaling the end of this level. Level 20 Tips Turn right and go around the missile. Watch out for the gard throwing grenadse. Now go down the elevator. Take out the two guards, then climb the two girders to get to the codes. After the movie, go to the right -> and roll under the door. Now go across the room and up the elevator. There will be four guards before the next room. Get the key card from one of the scientists then go thru the door. Now find the computer at the author side of the room. Level 6 Tips This is your first stealth mission so it is pretty hard. I know it took me a long time. Well, first, instead of following the guy you need to get to, (i forget his name but it starts with a P), instead go to the left and climb up onto the ledges and wait for the guard to come down. My strategy was to use L1 to get head shots and take the guards out with my 9mm. Shoot him in he head and then head up to the next guard and while you sit behind a pillar take him out with another head shot. Go into the hallway and there will be a guard to the left, waitfor him to turn his back and walk away and take him out. There is one other guard in that room so be careful. Go into the hallway and there will be about four guards you need to take out. This is where they killed me the most and my mission parameters were failed. From then on just keep following the path and keep rolling and ducking unless you know where your enemys are. Well, i hope this help you a lot, anddon't get too frustrated and throw your playstation against the wall if you keep getting spotted. (Kinda like Metal Gear Solid isn't it?) Level Select Pause the game, go into the Options menu. Highlight the Select Mission option, then press and hold LEFT + L1 + R1 + SELECT + SQUARE + X.
