Boss 1:
The second boss is an AT-ST Walker, which is as easy to beat as the first one you encountered in Each Base. Run behind and under it and shoot it often and with your lasers, saving Seekers and other weapons for Boba Fett. If you stay under the AT-ST long enough, you'll confuse it enough so that it'll stop walking altogether. It's very tempting to shoot the mechanical dummy in the groin with your Seekers, and we've done this very thing often, and it feels good. Go ahead, live a little. When you finally beat the Walker, you'll get front row seats for the best part of the entire confrontation, which is watching it collapse into a burning pile of junk
Boss 2:
Defeating Boba Fett/Slave I:
Boba Fett has many weapons with which to attack you, and though you may have just as many, only a few are effective. As bosses go, he and his Slave ship are two of the toughest, especially in the higher difficulty. To beat Boba Fett, shoot and move, shoot and move again. Forget your Seekers, they simply miss (unless you're up close), though if you're not careful his will hit you. Stay low, under the lowest platform and wait until Boba Fett flies down attack you. Stick with lasers as he comes down; when you hit him, he'll act stunned for a few seconds -- this is the best time to hit him. When he comes close he'll almost always win, so fly away as soon as he's about 20-30 feet away.
Though it's not recommended, if you want to fight up close with him use the flame thrower, it's very effective. Where can you find it? Fly outside the area and onto the landing below. Neither Boba Fett nor the slave ship will follow. There are health power-ups, and weapons. When you re-enter, expect the enemy to be facing you.
To defeat Slave 1, one way is to simply run around to the ship's back side and take aim. Another way is to both fly and run. We find the run-and-fly technique is best. The Slave ship is tougher that Boba Fett because not all of its side are vulnerable. Attack from the side and the back, and use your Seekers. And for God's sake, keep running! Slave 1 inflicts more damage than its pilot, and if you don't have a bunch of lives saved up, you're going to lose. Beating this boss is long and tedious but if you stick to your Seekers and shot from the side and back, you'll defeat it.
Mission 6: Mos Eisley and Beggar's Canyon
Your Mission Objective: This is a straight-forward mission. Take out all 10 of the bounty hunters, before they get to Luke's hut.
Stage 1:
When reaching the first ramp get the extra life and you'll see the first Challenge Point on a ledge to your right. Now, stay to your left. Go around the crashed ship and you'll see Point 2 around the left side. The next point is in the air off the next ramp you come to. Make sure you launch your Swoop by pulling back. Go back to that ramp and use the same technique you used to get point 1 to get Point 4 on a ledge to your right. Number 5 is right before the first tunnel. It's near the corner of the right large structure. At the same structure, go behind the counter and left into the corner. Point 6 is here. Look for a maroon looking structure right before you get to the part where the Tiberium Shuttle takes off. The point is in a small spot to the left of the structure. Continue on until you see another large structure. Point 8 is behind the counter again in a corner. After you exit the town, make a sharp, 180 degree left and you'll find a hidden area. Challenge Point 9 is here is a funky, Sam and Max shaped point. Cool! Challenge Point 10 is smack dab in the middle of the Sarlac Pit! Just gather speed and lift up to avoid being swallowed! Point 11 is on the edge of the second Sarlac Pit you encounter (since when were there two Sarlac Pits and why are they in Beggar's Canyon?). The 12th and final Point is on top of the second wall with a small tunnel for you to navigate through. Hit either of the ramps before you reach the tunnel, then turn and get it!
Mission 7: The Imperial Freighter Suprosa
Your Mission Objectives: Penetrate the Suprosa and get the plans from the Empire's memory banks.
Stage 1:
Another first-person mission (get used to seeing these). Once again, destroy everything that gets in your way here and get to Stage 2. This is simple mostly because the level is rather drab and simply designed. To get the first Challenge Point, go to the room to your left immediately after entering the first door. The next point can be found near the troop barracks. You'll come to a fork where you'll only be able to go left or right. Take the right passage to get the Challenge Point.
Stage 2:
Another no brainer. Keep moving through all the spinning stages and platforms and you'll hit the elevator that leads to Stage 2. To get Point three get by the second set of rotating cogs and go around the cog to the left. You'll find the point in a small nook in the corner. Now, pass the fourth and last set of cogs and you'll find the fourth Challenge Point on a ledge to the upper right. You'll have to jump for this one so be extra careful. Next, you'll approach two spinning platforms. This is where it gets a little tricky. Take the right platform and duck so you don't hit by the bar and jump over the lower bar. Get to the white looking structure and, whalla, you've got the fifth Challenge Point! To get the sixth Point, do the same thing you did for the fifth Point. Only this time, go to the platform on the left-hand side. Now head to Stage 3.
Stage 3:
More of the same again, but this time you've got the Loader Droid waiting for you at the end of the stage. Make sure to save your Seekers for the Loader Droid. To get Challenge Point 7, get to the second floor and take the first door to your right. Now at the room on the second floor, the 8th Point can be found inside one of the boxes inside the third door to your left. Now, get to the third floor. Cross the bridge and you'll find the 9th Point inside a box behind door number 2. The final Point can be found after defeating the Loader Droid. It's right behind the computer.
Boss:
Defeating the Imperial Loader Droid: Killing this Droid is much easier than killing Boba Fett and Slave 1. Essentially, you should fight it the same way you fought the AT-STs: run around to its backside and blast away, and then circle it again and repeat (but don't try standing between its legs). Strafing is key here (use the right shoulder button to strafe while moving the analog joystick). Also, the Loading Droid is unique in the sense that if you touch it or it touches you, you'll take damage, so be careful not to get too close. The Loader is slightly slower than you, but its arms can reach across more than half of the room. It's long arms squeeze a lot of damage out of you, so don't get caught! Once you destroy it, a door will open in that room, giving you access to the Empire's memory banks.
Mission 8 : The Sewers of Coruscant (Imperial City)
Your Mission Objectives: Make your way through the sewers (yuck) and get to Xizor's Palace.
Stage 1:
More first-person adventuring! This time you'll have to rely on your jetpack and use your wits to get through the sewers. On top of this, you'll have to find all the keys (two) to deactivate all the forcefields that stand in your way. Finally, you'll fight the Giant Dianoga, a really tough boss.
To get Challenge Point one, go down the corridor at the beginning and take a left, then turn right. Now look for a secret door to your left. It's in there. Now dive underwater, but first it's best to kill the two baby Dionagas. The second point is under a small platform to the left of Dash. Go in the pipe that leads to the cylinder shaped room on the left of the room you're still in. Got underwater and hit the two submerged switches and a door between them will open up. The third point along with an extra life are there just waiting for you to pick them up. Now, fly up and go inside the pipe. Follow it until your reach a corridor at the top. Go down the this dark corridor and make a left. The fourth point is dead ahead. Now go back down the corridor and use your jetpack to go down the airshaft. Look for another hallway that leads to another airshaft. Jetpack to the very bottom and go into a pipe that will be waiting for you. The fifth Point is in there. Now, let's take a Challenge Point break and get the security key to deactivate the forcefields. Fly all the way up the airshaft that you're in. Get in the corridor and then go to the bottom and into the pipe that sits there. When you reach the end of the pipe, you'll find the key. Grab it and you'll now be able to get through the gates pipe you passed a few moments ago.
Now get through the security door and you'll find yourself submerged underwater. Finnish off the Dianoga (not the final boss) and dive down and swim to your left to reach the sixth Point which can be found at the dead end. Now get your butt to the room with the weird rotating arm. Lookup and you'll see the next point near the ceiling at the center of the whole room. You'll have to fly to grab this one. Point 8 is in another cylinder shaped room. It's inside the opening in the center of the room. This opening is submerged so you'll have to rake a plunge to get it. Now flip the two switches that can be found right above the water. This will deactivate the forcefields and open a door for you to enter. Now get through the gears and veer to your right. You'll see the final Challenge Point in a small alcove to your left. Good luck.
Boss: Beating the Giant Dionaga:
To beat the Final boss, the multi-headed venus flytrap named the Giant Dionaga, you'll first have to locate which point is weakest. When you enter the final room it'll fill to the top with water and you're forced to battle off as many as eight vicious tentacles with mouths at their ends. You can kill these but they're simply regrow over and over again, so kill these if they're coming after you, but don't spend too much time with them. The object is to locate the tentacle with a giant eye, and then shoot it with everything you've got. Of course, you'll have to manage refreshing your air supply, fighting off the tentacles that attack you, and shooting the giant eye, but that's why they call it a BOSS!
Mission 9: Xizor's Palace
Your Missions Objectives: Cut off the Skyhook from Xizor's Palace by destroying the umbilical cord that connects them.
Stage 1:
Kill anything that gets in your way, and activate the two bridges. There are 10 Challenge Points here. To get the first one, pass through an automatic door and you'll end up in a room with two floors. Hit the switch on the second floor and a door behind you will open. Point one is in there. Now get to the first elevator and jetpack to the upper switch instead of activating the elevator switch. Hit the switch and descend to the bottom of the shaft where Point 2, disruptor ammo, and a free life await you. The third Point can be found near the end of the stage by the second bridge. Right before the end of the second bridge, fly off and around to your right. Look for a guard near a window. Point 3 is right there. After this continue to stage 2.
Stage 2:
The final stage. Get to the umbilical section and destroy it. The Gladiator Droid will be waiting for you. Right after activating the first switch, head back to the elevator and jetpack up until you reach an area with the fourth Challenge point. After traveling for a bit you'll reach three cogs. When you reach the second cog, fly below it and you'll find Challenge Point five on the ground. Now look for a secret door where you found Point five. Head down the corridor until you reach a place from where you can fly up. Point 6 is up there. Now, head back the way you came and continue past the three cogs.
Soon, you'll reach a place where large cogs will be placed on a sort of ledge. Fly down and hit the floor. To your right will be Point 7! Point 8 is in the cylindrical room where you activate all the green-ish switches. Look for a tiny window at the center of the structure below the lowest platform. Fly all the way down, then slowly fly up and inspect closely for it. After a few times, you should be able to find it. Now head to the lowest platform again. Walk behind the switch and one of the paths will lead you to a secret door. Grab Point 9. For the final point, you'll have to go to the next bridge. Don't take it through the door. Instead, go the other way and you'll hit another secret door. The last point is in there. Now finish the rest of the level and good luck with the Gladiator Droid!
Final Boss:
Gladiator Droid The Gladiator Droid dies three deaths in this final stage (in other words, this boss level has three stages). The first two pit you against him, and you have the advantage of the versatile jetpack. When you first defeat the Gladiator, he'll lose everything below the hips, and you'll then have to defeat him again, this time around he'll lose everything below the neck (really!). The third stage features Dash fighting the Gladiator head, running around in a kind of rat's maze with lots of dead ends, the canals loaded with power-ups and health.. The Droid is relatively slow, but his arsenal of weapons is huge, bigger than anything you've fought before.
If you've thoroughly searched level 9, you will have found at least two or more disruptors, which inflict serious damage to the Gladiator. You'll also find more in the Boss stage when the circular platform turns into the rat maze. These are key in defeating the Gladiator head in the last stage. Seekers are also good in this level. Essentially, our best advice is, make sure to have seven lives going in against him, and be fully loaded with weapons and ammunition, you'll need everything.
Mission 10 : The Battle At Skyhook
Your Missions Objectives: Fend off the Imperial Defenders. Take out the arms of the Skyhook and destroy the main reactor.
Stage 1:
No Challenge Points here! But there are three simple tasks that must be accomplished. First, survive long enough and take out as many Imperial ships as you can. The sky is filled with Star Vipors and TIE Fighters, and this first past of this level is reminiscent of level 3, Asteroid Chase. This should be a piece of cake, but make sure not to lose any lives, you'll ned them for later.
Stage 2:
This isn't an official Stage 2, but it really is like one, so we've sectioned it off. Now that you've blasted a bunch of TIE fighters and Sta Vipors, destroy the four arms of the Skyhook Station. Be careful, these long limbs are armed with Turbo Laser cannons. Use concussion missiles to take these out. Finally, you'll have to fly into the end of each of the arms and take out all four sides of the main reactor (they didn't have to do this in the movies!). The trick is to fly slow (use the right shoulder button) and use lots of concussion missiles. Each time you go in you should do at least 25% damage to the reactor to finish it off in four passes. If you're an excellent navigator, you can actually fly around in the main reactor area without ever leaving. Good luck and may the Force be with you!
