Getting Nitro in the Bull's Room
By: Hogtank (Hogtank@aol.com)
Magical Nitro is a powerful tool, but its also volatile enough to blow up in your hands if you aren't careful. You can't jump or take a hit because the shock will set it off. You'll need to take an alternate route in Castle Center to get from the room with the Nitro to the cracked wall in the Bull's Room. Fing the back way to the Nitro through the room with the broken stairs, across the red carpet and across the narrow platforms. Then go back to the cracked wall to detonate the magic liquid.

Location of the First Two Clock Tower Keys
By: Hogtank (Hogtank@aol.com)
You'll need to do some leaping until you get to the ledge in the corner of the Clock Tower. From there, you'll be able to jump across some slowly-moving gears to a rotating beam. Move cautiously across the beam to an elevator platform, then jump from platform to platform until you reach a torch. Smash the torch to get the first key. You'll need to continue through the moving gears to a second platform, then go on the key's matching door. The second key is just beyond the door.

How to Defeat the Male and Female Vampires
By: Hogtank (Hogtank@aol.com)
One vampire is a pain in the neck. Two of them can be downright annoying. As you move through the Villa area, you'll probably think you have only to deal with a male vampire who's been stalking you like a bloodhound. Deal with him you will, using whatever weapons you have available. Once he's beaten you'll have to contend with his female partner. She'll release waves of vicious bats at you. Destroy the bats with any available weapons, then turn them on the lady vampire. Be sure to have plenty of chicken and/or beef on hand to maintain your strength.

Re-do Clocktower Stage
By: Fraggle via GameSages
This works with Reinhardt. It has not been tested with Carrie.
After exiting the clock tower through the third door, instead of going up the staircase, take the elevator on the right hand side. This takes you to the roof of the Clock Tower. From the roof there are four edges you can slide down. Choose either one of the front two facing the stairway. Run off of the roof and fall for a few seconds. Then hit the jump button and if you didn't jump too early, you should be able to land on to the platform where you previously fought Death. Take the elevator in the center of the platform down and you end up at the beginning of the Clock Tower stage.

Castlevania Secrets
By: Richterfied, Brett Rogstad, MasterDon, Rick B., Sutaz, and Chris
Finding Secrets - If you press the ACTION button when in front of most statues you will recieve a roast chicken or a roast beef. Sometimes reading the clues on these staues will tell you of other hidden surprises. Also, ledges containing secrets can be accessed by just jumping straight up and pulling your character to the top.
Hidden Powerup before Dracula - When you are climbing the stairs up towards Draculas lair, you pass through two towers before reaching the final tower. At the last tower, jump onto either of the two torches and shimmy around the ledge to the other side. There you will find a breakable torch with a Red Jewel and a floating platform. You can walk to the platform on thin air by walking straight toward it from the torch with the Red Jewel. Inside you will find a Healing Kit, helpful for the major battle(s) to come.
Secret Items in the Castle Courtyard - In the Castle Courtyard wait until 12:00 midnight and a secret platform will rise from the fountain allowing access to the items on the top.
Secret Torch - When you reach the entrance tot he garden maze, turn right and look up. You can see a platform. There is an invisible ledge in front that you can pull yourself onto.
HINT: The invisible ledge is also a good place to attack the hounds from once you open the gates.
Secret of Renon's Contract - In the Villa Stage, Renon tells you there is a part of his contract that you cannot read. What it actually says is that you can visit Renon as often as you like, but your total purchase of his items cannot exceed 30,000 gold for the rest of the game. If you do spend over that amount then Renon will fight you.
Secret of Charlie Vincent - In the Villa, Charlie tells you he is off to defeat Dracula with or without you. During the rest of the game, if you use too many sun and moon cards, i.e. take too many days to reach the final stage, Charlie will have arrived before you and been bitten by Dracula's servant. Charlie will become a vampire you have to kill. This determines the good or bad endings. Fight Charlie and you see the bad ending. But if you get through the game swift enough to arrive at Dracula's servant before Charlie, you get to fight the "true" forms of Dracula and see the good ending.
Talk to Rosa - To talk to Rosa, a vampire who waters the roses in the villa, enter the room with all the red roses in it. At 3:00 A.M., Rosa will come and water the roses.

Alternate Endings
By: Chris Drifill (o2byzst@aol.com)
What ending you get depends on two things. First, how many sun and moon cards you use throughout the game. Using too many of these cards will cause Vincent to be turned into a vampire, and you will face him in the second chamber on your way to the final battle with Dracula. If you encounter Vincent, you will get the okay ending.
The other is by home much money you spend. If you buy around 30,000 worth of items from Renon, he will appear in the first chamber on your way to Dracula, and you will then be forced to fight him. By doing this you will get to fight a few more versions of Dracula, and get the supreme ending.

Alternate Costumes
By: Chris Drifill (o2byzst@aol.com)
*To access these costumes you must beat the game with each characters special Crystal.
Reinhardt: His special crystal is on the level "Tower of Execution" it is behind the locked Tower of Execution gate. Once you get the key, return to that point, open the gate, and hit the coffin that is lowered and alone off to the right. This will get you Special 2. By beating the game with this, you get his additional costume. To access it, hold Up on the joystick, then Press A when choosing Reinhardt.
Carrie: Her Special Crystal is on the level "Tower of Socercy" it is near the very end of the level, on a floating platform that has no apparent way to reach. Simply take another leap of faith, hit the torch, get Special 2. By beating the game with this, you get her additional costume. To access it, hold Up on the joystick, then Press A when choosing Carrie.

Hard Mode
By: Chris Drifill (o2byzst@aol.com)
You can access the hard difficulty setting by collecting a special green crystal in the first stage, the Forest of Silence. This Crystal is near a huge canyon, and a switch. It appears as a purple torch sitting on a platform in midair. To reach it, simply face the platform and jump as far as you can. You will land on an invisible platform and after hitting the torch, you receive Special 1. By beating the game with this crystal (and saving), you will be awarded Hard mode. |
