Shortcut in Bubblegloop Swamp

So you're in Bubblegloop swamp as an alligator. You go back to Mumbo-Jumbo's hut and turn back into Banjo, and you remember that you don't want to take a minute to go back through the retarded little swamp path. Here is a much quicker way to get out. Outside of Mumbo's hut, do a backflip into the hut's eye then jump onto the roof. Now take a careful little hop and land on the top of the wooden fence. Walk along the fence and jump off at the end. You should land on the grass ledge right by the big alligator.

Access the Levels

Having trouble progressing through B-K because you can't find Puzzles/entrances to levels? Your worries are over.

Mumbo's Mountain: Enter Gruntilda's Lair and turn to your right. Turn right again after the fence. The Puzzle is at the top of the hill. Fill it up, then turn around, and the entrance to Mumbo's Mountain is there.

Treasure Trove Cove: Get past the 50 Note Door, then turn right. The Puzzle is after Brentilda, fill it up, then walk up the bluish-greenish ramp, into the sewer-like part of Gruntilda's Lair. Jump down the waterfall, then head into the "monster's mouth" door. Jump into the treasure chest to get to Treasure Trove Cove.

Clanker's Cavern: Access to Treasure Trove Cove and learn the Shock Spring Jump move from Bottles. Go to the same room you found the Puzzle for Treasure Trove Cove. Find the Shock Spring Pad and use it to access to the Clanker's Cavern Puzzle. Then go to the sewer-like part of Gruntilda's Lair. Find the pipe with the water coming out. Above it is a smaller one. Jump in to get to the REAL sewer-like part of Gruntilda's Lair, i.e., the Clanker's Cavern Lobby. Hit the switch on your right, then use the pipes that just rose to get to the other side. While you're there, you might as well hit the second switch while you're at it, even though it's useless if you're eager to get to Clanker's Cavern.

Bubblegoop Swamp: If you've been following this, you would've hit the second switch in the Clanker's Cavern Lobby. If you've done so, jump to the next level and cross the skinny pipe to the third switch, stomp it to reveal an underwater door. The Puzzle for Bubblegoop Swamp is there. Now pass the 180 Note Door and walk to the left, up the steep hill and down the pipe. You're in the Bubblegoop Swamp Lobby. Cross the bridge to get to Bubblegoop Swamp.

Freezeezy Peak: Access to Bubblegoop Swamp and get the ability to use Wading Boots. In the Lobby, head toward the exit, but go into the pipe on your right. Use the Wading Boots to get across the piranha water into a door in the back. The Freezeezy Peak Puzzle is there. Now exit and get through the 260 Note Door. Go past the weird looking cup-thing and up the steps. The Freezeezy Peak Lobby is on your right.

Gobi's Valley: Get past the 350 Note Door into a volcano. Follow the path to the Gobi's Valley Jigsaw Puzzle. Now exit the volcano then exit the other room. Past the weird looking cup-thing is a brick wall. Use your Z-B attack to knock it down, then get into the Wading Boots and use them to get past the hot sand in the room next to the one the Wading Boots were in (also known as the Gobi's Valley Lobby). The entrance is on the island in the middle of the hot sand.

Mad Monster Mansion: In the room with the stone carving of Gruntilda's head, walk up the ramp until you get to the 450 Note Door. Go past it, then swim to another "monster's mouth" door into another room. Avoid the biting fish, and swim through an underwater tunnel. In the next room, jump to the lowest alcove, then float (press A while in midair) to the next one. Do this until you get to the puzzle for Mad Monster Mansion. Then go back to the volcano and continue down the path to another door. Inside is the Mad Monster Mansion Lobby.

Rusty Bucket Bay: First, go to the Mad Monster Mansion Lobby and break down the gate in the back-left part with the Z-B attack. Now access to Mad Monster Mansion and have Mumbo Jumbo turn you into a pumpkin. Now exit the level as the pumpkin and go to the area that was blocked off by the gate. You can fit through the hole in the door. Inside, have Mumbo turn you back, then Beak Bust the coffin to break the lid. It's best if you kill the ghost with the Wonderwing before doing the next thing. Hit the water switch to make the water rise to the second level. Now go to the room right before the one with the Mad Monster Mansion Puzzle. Since the water rose, you can get to the part to get to before. In case you didn't notice, you're in the Rusty Bucket Bay Lobby. Go to the box with the Rare symbol on it, and Beak Bust it to reveal another water switch. If you stomp it, the water will rise to the third level. You can now get to the tunnel high above, which leads to the Rusty Bucket Bay Puzzle. After you fill it up, you can return to the Rusty Bucket Bay Lobby and access to the actual level itself.

Click Clock Wood: Once the water is raised to the third level, jump to the top of the platforms in the first watery room. Use the Wonderwing to get past the swinging branches. Once in the Click Clock Wood Lobby, jump on the leaves on the tree to get to a 765 Note Door. Ignore it… for now. Make your way across the ledge until you get to a switch. Beak Bust it. Now, remember the sewer-like part of Gruntilda's lair? Dive down in the pool of water to find an underwater tunnel, which will lead you to the Click Clock Wood Puzzle. And yes, you can get to the Puzzle as early as possible in the game, however, it was the switch that activated the Puzzle Pad in front of the Puzzle.

Gruntilda: Remember that 765 Note Door? Get past it to reveal a giant Tooty pad. Could this mean…? Yep, win the next challenge and be rewarded with Tooty. Step on the pad to be transported to another room. In front of you is what looks like a giant board game above a lava pit. The tiles are decorated with pictures of stuff. This is like a game show, and Gruntilda calls it "Gruntilda's Furnace Fun" and the old hag herself is there, and will explain everything to you…

Kill Wall Creatures

To kill Wall Salamanders, or anything that comes out of a wall, you can do it without using up Gold Feathers. But they have different rates:

How to Beat Gruntilda

Gruntilda really has two rounds. Round 1 is just behind the 765 Note Door. It appears to be a gameshow called Grunty's Furnace Fun. It is pretty fun, but hard to beat. Grunty will tell you what to do, and I'll give you the lowdown on the squares you'll land on (did I mention it's not only a gameshow, but a board game?):

B-K Trivia: A basic trivia question.

Gruntilda Trivia: See how well you've been listening to Brentilda. You know what I mean. If you get it right, Grunty WILL be mad.

Joker: The best squares, because if you get it right, you get a Joker, which lets you skip the space of your choice. Valuable.

Name That Tune: Name the music from a level, the voice a character has, or the sound an item makes when you pick it up. Sounds aren't so annoying anymore, eh?

Camera View: Grunty shows you a picture of a character or a picture from a level. Not too hard, huh? The hard part is, she picks theses wacky angles and close-ups.

Skull O' Death: A simple trivia question, but if you get it wrong, into the lava you go!

Timed Battle: Grunty picks a battle stage or a mini-game from a level, times them, and puts in all sorts of stuff to make them harder!

"Prize" Squares: These are found every so often and hold Honeycomb or an extra life. Save the Honeycomb for when you need them, since you can always backtrack.

Beat this little game to rescue Tooty. But the adventure isn't over yet. You've got to kill Gruntilda. Go past the 810 Note Door and activate the second yellow cauldron, and fill the Grunty Puzzle with about 25 pieces. You'll find Dingpot there, but before you jump in and let him blast you to the roof, try getting through the Note Doors surrounding you to refill your Red Feather, Gold Feather, and Egg supply. It'll be better if you also do that "Red Honeycomb" trick, and get that Cheato for having 20 Gold Feathers. Do both, and all you need is a little practice with shooting eggs, using the Beak Bomb on moving targets, and being able to dodge flying stuff. Do all that, and this'll be a walk in the park. Here's what to do:

First, Grunty, will begin dive bombing you. Dodge her until the broomstick sort of breaks down and stops, and she begins scolding it. Aim a Rat-a-Tat towards the back of the broomstick. Do this 4 times.

From now on, she will shoot a spell at you at certain times. It's like a homing spell; use Gold Feathers to beat it. Now Grunty will hurl fireballs at you. When she stops for a minute, get onto the ledge and start firing Eggs at her. After 3 Eggs, she'll go to a different side. Hit her with 3 Eggs 4 times to go on.

Bottles will give you a Flight Pad. You'll need it because Grunty has taken to the skies too. Beak Bomb her 4 times. Watch out, though, because she hurls more fireballs at you.

Now she's got a force field!? Wait till the Jinjo Statues pop up. Fire Eggs into the holes below them to send them after Grunty. Do this with all 4 statues.

You are powerless without the mighty Jinjonator! Fire Eggs into all four holes to send him after Grunty.

Go Anywhere with Mumbo's Transformations

Did you ever want to be the the alligator while you were in Treasure Trove Cove? Did you ever want to be the termite in Clankers Cavern? Now you can.

First you need a Gameshark and put in the Moon Jump code. Next have Mumbo transform you. Now leave the level. Walk towards the exit and stop when Mumbo says the magic is getting weak. Now use the Moon Jump to leave the area that Mumbo says the magic is getting weak (otherwise you will become Banjo) and go through the door that exit that will take you to somewhere else. Now release the L button to stop the Moon Jump and you will still be the transformation. When you have a spell on you will have infinite air, but you can't swim. Instead, you have to use the Moon Jump to surface or move around underwater. You will sink to the bottom of the body of water making it easy to get some of the notes.

(Note: There is one disadvatage of this code. You cannot attack. I suggest you put on the infinite energy code on Gameshark before you do this code.)

Cool Shortcut

Most people miss this when they play the first time; in the room where the jigsaw puzzle that activates Mad Monster Mansion there is a grate of some sort on the wall. When you go to the secret Mumbo near the Mad Monster Mansion entrance and stomp the water rising switch, you'll be able to reach that grate and break it with the Rat-a-tat Rap. It leads to the Jigsaw puzzle to Rusty Bucket Bay. Make sure not to stomp the second level rising button(which raises the water level to 2) until you do this and you'll have a "shortcut" that most people miss in the game.

Get all the Eggs and Keys

If you've gotten all 100 Jigsaws and and beaten the game, jump back in the pot that leads you to Gruntilda. It will play the ending where Mumbo shows you the pictures. When it shows you at the VERY top of Shark Food Island, Press Down Up on the D-Pad, and you should run into the Pink Egg. Wait until the Ice Key pictures shows then turn off the system. Turn it back on but without Gameshark this time. You will only have the Pink Egg but all the secrets will be activated:

Pink Egg - Sharkfood Island
Ice Key - Wozzas Cave
Blue Egg - Gobys Valley
Green Egg - On top of Loggo the Toilet in Mad Monster Mansion
Turquoise Egg - Behind the X Barrel in Mad Monster Mansion
Red Egg - On the captains bed in Rusty Bucket Bay
Yellow Egg - On Nabnuts desk in Winter
Fire Key - I dont know, but I have the feeling there is one

Get The Key in Wazzas Cave

To get the key first you need a GameShark. Next type in the code L For levitation. Then go to mumbo and change into the wallrus. Next go to the foot of the hole. Then use L to levitate and after you pass the hole, hold the control stick in the direction for the key and.... Tada you will will go the the side now let go of L and get the key
Note, I have no clue what it does yet.

Fun Kazooie Trick

Start moving Banjo to an area where he cannot get hurt.
Stop moving the control stick and pushing buttons.
If you wait a little, Kazooie will popout of the backpack two or three times to see what is happening. The last time Kazooie pops out of the backpack she will start pecking Banjo's head. Banjo tries to get her to stop but she laughs and pecks him again a few times. Then Banjo will scratch his head.
Wait until Kazooie pops out of the backpack again this time when Kazooie starts to peck Banjo's head, Banjo will grab Kazooies head and start pulling it, then when Banjo lets go Kazooie will start coughing and Banjo will start laughing. This only works if you stay still through all 4 steps.

Bottles Puzzle Solutions

The solutions show the pieces as they are arranged around the puzzle board at the beginning. The first number in the solution shows the location of that piece on the puzzle board. This is shown by dividing the puzzle board up into a 4x5 grid lable as follows:

All but the first two puzzles require rotation of some of the pieces. The second number (starting with an 'r') in the solution is the rotation, done by hitting the 'C-Right' button. For example,

Banjo-Tooie & Secret Pictures

After beating the game by beating gruntilda you see the ending. It talks about there being a sequal to Banjo-Kazooie called Banjo-Tooie! To access the secret pictures from Banjo-Tooie you must have all 100 Jiggys if you don't bottles will say you still have to get the remaining jiggys.

The secret pictures show secret caves in:

Treasure Trove Cove on Sharkfood island,
Freezeezy Peak in Wozza's cave,
