No Counter Attacks
By: kean (kean__br@hotmail.com)
In any level where it is possible to make engineers, train a few to go along for battle. When you are attacking, let the engineers take over one or two buildings. When you lose all of your troops, the enemy will attack the buildings you placed in their base instead of sending a counterattack on your base. Very useful when you leave your base defenseless during attack. They are just too predictable:-)

Unit Descriptions
By: Tinyman867 (Tinyman867@aol.com)
These are some unit discriptions which are pretty helpful in saving some money in the game.
UNITS IN BOTH FORCES
Minigunner: the standard infantry unit in the game. Useful against armored units. All infantry have a risk of getting squashed by tanks. cost: $100
Bazooka: Very useful against anything armored. Not very good because of very low hp. Cost: $300
Engineer: Take over enemy buildings with this infantry unit. Verl low hp like the bazooka. Not worth the money usually. Cost: $500
Harvester: the most heavily armored unit in the game. Picks up Tiberium for you. Only attack is to squash infantry. Helpless against vehicles. Cost: $1400 (but comes automatically with Tiberium Refinary.)
MCV (Moble Construction Vehicle): Use this to create new outposts away from your base. Medium armor. Not worth the money.Cost: $5000
GDI UNITS
Grenadier: Useful against infantry. Faster than minigunner but a little less hp. Cost: $160.
HMMVW: Useful as a scout. little armor but good weapon against infantry. Cost: $400
Medium Tank: Probabally one of the best units in the game. Medium armor and good weapon against larger units (anything bigger than infantry). Cost: $800
Armored Personnel Carrier (APC): Useful as a scouting unit. Has the same weapon as HMMVW but about double the armor. Can transport up to 5 units. Cost: $600
Moble Rocket Launcher System (MRLS): The GDI's longest range attacker. Effective against almost everything, but has no short range attack. The only thing that it lacks is armor, and that is why I don't recommend it.Able to attack arial units. Cost: $800
Mammoth Tank: The second most heavily armored unit in the game. lacks speed and mobility. It has 2 guns but fires so slowly that it is almost better to build 2 medium tanks. It can swlowly regenerate it's health back up to 50%. Able to fire at arial units. Cost: $1500
Orca: One of the worst units in the game,I think. Very little armor, only has 5 missles to fire before it has to go back to reload, and the price isn't worth it. Cost: $1300 (but comes automatically with helicopter pad.)
NOD UNITS
Flamethrower: this infantry unit is very useful in wiping out other infantry. creates a fire when it dies which could possibly kill other units of yours nearby. Cost: $300
Recon Bike: Very fast, but little armor. Fires missles, which are able to attack arial units. Cost: $500
NOD Buggy: Same as GDI's HMMVW but less armor and more speed. Cost: $300
Artillery: Very useful for enemy base seisures. able to attack from great distances. Considerabally lacks speed and armor. Worth the money to create a few of these. Cost: $450
Light Tank: Same as GDI's Medium Tank but less armor. Cost: $600
Flame Tank: Another one of the best units in the game, and my personal favorite. able to mow through infantry with little or no dammage to itself. effective against everything. Cost: $800
Stealth Tank: Good for scouting and only able to be detected while it is cloaked by advanced guard towers. To fire it temporarally decloakes itself, exposing it to fire.Able to attack arial units. Cost: $900
UNITS AVAILABLE ONLY ON CERTIN MISSIONS
Transport Helicopter: Provides field transportation for all infantry. Heavy armor, and able to hold up to 10 units. (GDI only)
Hover Craft: Occasionally drops by to deploy units on amphibious assults. (both forces)
A-10 Ground Support Aircraft: available only when airstrikes are available. Mass destruction to the area around the target. (GDI only)
Gunboat: Fires surface-to-surface missiles. Occasionally makes appearences on missiones where there is water. Normally Unavailable. (GDI only)
Cargo Plane: Delivers vehicles to you when they are done building. (NOD only)

Easy Wins on Special Operations Number One For GDI
By: CrimsonRaider (StarRaven1@aol.com)
Strategy Number One - The is a simple and quick way to win the battle that usually involves at least an hour or so of fighting. After you've taken out the SAMs and destroyed the obelisk with an air attack, move your MCY anywhere close to the ridge along the left side of the screen and build a barracks and power plant. Don't destroy the two power plants, because they are critical to the strategy. Build a few minigunners and grenadiers and then build two engineers. Have them take over the two plants. Then immediately begin building concrete walls lining the plant to the farthest right. Line them up so they form a straight line going from the top of the ridge to the bottom of the ridge (where the Tiberium is). You've now formed a barricade that will both keep you in and the enemy out. This would be bad usually, but it will work. Next, sell both power plants you captured and build a line of guard towers inside the walls. Keep your commando close to snipe any flamethrowers that come your way. Wait for the air strike to get ready. Now scan the black, unexplored regions. You'll notice that there are regions that you can see. Go to the top middle area. There is a SAM site. Select the air strike and aim it slightly higher and about two inches right from the SAM site. Your air strike will hit the Biochemical Research Facility, and assuming you aimed well, the air strikes should take it out on the first pass. Victory.
Strategy Number Two - Take the same steps as the first, but don't make the barricade hold you inside, but still make it strong with a guard tower or two. You now have three targets you can hit that will take out most enemy resistance early. Upper Left: Enemy Tiberium Refinery Lower right (about 8 inches from the lower edge and two inches in from the right edge): Enemy Tiberium Refinery and Hand of Nod (where those flamethrowers pour out of constantly) Above the lower enemy Tiberium Refinery (marked by a SAM site): Enemy Construction Yard
As soon as you make a strike on one of the targets, tanks and flame tanks will come to your position. Have the barricade and guard towers ready for them. You might want to build a weapons factory and make a few tanks before you do the air strikes to repel them even more easily. Now your enemy's economy is crippled, and you can build a large force and overtake them. Remember also: Because of the time it takes the air strike to get ready, take out the Tiberium Refinery while the harvesters are in them. If not, the harvester stands a minor chance of harvesting for the other Tiberium Refinery while your air strike is recharging. The more money they have left, the more money they have to possibly make units with.

Nod Choppers
By: Mattman674@aol.com
Nod Choppers are only for Nod. They only have bullets, but they have more life than the Orcas. They sound just the same as GDI regular guard towers. They are best for wasting lone GDI units.
Here`s how to get them, if you have mastered taking over enemy buildings with engineres you`ll knowthat you can gain the ability of geting enemy units (EX. if you take over a warfactory you`ll get some GDI units, a construction yard gives you a few enemy structuors, and the same with barracks). If you take over a helipad you`ll get attack hellicopters. Maybe even Orcas. Some times you have to take over a warfactory as well.Enjoy.

Other Hints & Tips
By: Bunch of people and Cheat Code Central
Sell your Vehicle - If you want to sell your vehicle, place it in the repair bay.
Easy Money - The churches in the villages have $1000 in them. Destory them to get it.
Faster Ion Cannon and Nuclear Weapon charge - Build more power plants to get a faster Ion Cannon and Nuclear weapon charge.
Killing Chain - You can start a chain reaction of death by killing only a few flamethrower/grenaders... the chain reaction will finish off the rest.
Taking out Lasers - The fastest and easiest way to take out Lasers is to use three flame tanks, which will barely get damaged.
Taking out Guard Towers and Advanced Guard Towers - Build Artillery and send them to attack those structures. They shoot from such a long distance that the Towers can not shoot back.
Tiberium Factories - When you destroy all your opponent's Tiberium Factories, you can shoot one of their structures a few times and they will sell it to you. However, make sure you take out their main base first or they will not be able to rebuild the Tiberium Factories.
Gold NOD Weapons - To cast armaments in gold, play as the Global Defense Initiative and seize an airstrip of the Brotherhood of NOD. Your forces there will continue to build NOD armaments, casting them in solid gold!

Capture Enemy Base Easily
By: Kirt
In certain missions you will be able to make a Mobile Construction Yard. For example Spec #2 for GDI.
Build one after you've explored one of the bases and send it into a far corner of the enemy base away from any units or vehicles. They will fure on you while entering the base but once in they won't bother you if you park far enough away from units or vehicles.Deploy your construction yard then build a barracks and engineers and take over their base.

APC Trick
By: Anakin via gamesages
If you're playing as GDI, and you have access to APCs and Engineers, then you can try this trick. Build 2 APCs, and put them each to a C-button. Now build 10 engineers, split hem into 2 groups of 5, put each group on a C-button, and load each group onto an APC. Now, drive the APCs over to the enemy base, and park them next to the NOD construction yard/barracks/airstrip. If the APCs are blown up, it's okay, the engineers will walk out still alive. Send all the engineers into NOD buildings, going into the construction yard first. Now, whenever you blow up a NOD building, they won't be able to replace it. And, if you captured their Hand of Nod or airstrip, then they won't be able to build any more units if you blow them all up.

Hold L and press C-up or C-down to zoom in and out. Its really helpful because its hard to see sometimes. Oddly, this was omitted from the game manual.

Smart Building Tips
By: Kyle B., Kevin (MrHill18@webtv.net) and Batlezone2 (Batlezone2@aol.com)
Power Plants - Just to let you know, it is much smarter to build two regular power plants instead of one advanced. This is because it is $100 cheaper, and they have better defense than the advanced power plants.
Build Away From Your Base - To build away from your base, simply create a chain of sandbags to the desired location.
Use Opponent's Structures and Men - Use an engineer to get into your opponent's Mobile Construction Unit. This will allow use of your opponent's structures, men, and more.
Build Without the Side Bar - First, in the side bar select what you want to build. Then hit Z to get out of the side bar. After that quickly press Z, A and it will start building without showing the side bar whatever you selected before you closed it. If its a structure then when it says Complete just hit Z, A again you can place your building on the screen. And to cancel hit Z, B twice, and to hold hit Z, B once.
Building Sites - In the begining of a mission, use men to scout around. Try to find a site near minerals & easily defended. Exsample: Build your base in a place with 1 way in. This way you only have to defend one entrance.
Sandbag "Prisons"- If you surround your entire base and the nearest Tiberium field with sand bags, opposing units approaching your base will stop and not shoot down the sand bags. You can then surround the units with sandbags and trap them inside. As long as you don't go near the sells with military units, they wont shoot down the sand bags. Wait long enough and you could have your own prison! Are those enemy units stupid or what.

Sandbag Trick
By: Semaj via GameSages
To build things away from your base, use sandbags in a chain. This works with any building. You can use this trick to place your buildings in an enemy's base.
