(the_ultimate_dm@hotmail.com) To have an echoing siren you first must have the police beetle. Go to any track that has a tunnel (Mount Mayhem works best). While in the tunnel use your siren, it should sound like it is echoing. If you want this to stay like this just keep your siren on and it should still echo when you leave the tunnel. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent HornBy: Michael Brinkman (Mjb8797@aol.com) To get a silent horn, first crash into something. Right after you crash hold down the horn button ( Right C ). When you come back, you will be honking your horn, but you can't hear it. This trick is only useful with the Police car, because it makes them pull over. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mount Mayhem Flower BoxBy: Dragonfly38J (Dragonfly38J@yahoo.com) Follow the normal route on Mount Mayhem. You will pass the crystal cave and a bridge (the bridge with a 5 point box at the end). After the bridge, you enter a tunnel follow this tunnel to it's end. Now immediately tunto your right. The flower box will be in a small grove of trees. This is also the area you fly over at the end of the path that you get onto by taking the upper jump over the big cavernus area, landing on the upper platform (with a 10 point box). Note: If you take this path, you must go to the right when the road forks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flower Box in the Wicked WoodsBy: Dragonfly38J (Dragonfly38J@yahoo.com) In the Wicked Woods, Drive to the mansion/house deal. If you are in the right spot, once you enter there should be two ascending "staircases". It doesn't matter which one you go up, just stop at the top and turn towards the center between the two staircases and you find yourself with a new cheat. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hidden RampBy: Stoagie55@hotmail.com In SunsetSands, at the beginning of the race when the ramp launches you onto the regular track, drive down the track until the next turn and then make a left into the sand. Keep driving and soon you will see a path that you can drop into. Follow the path. You will make two jumps and then it will take you up a ramp into a large room. Make sure you run into the giant wooden log sticking out until it moves out of the way. Then once you get to the room with lava shooting all over, there will now be a ramp sticking up out of the floor. Get one of the nitros and go up the ramp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting Cars Out of Your WayBy: R49ers1626 (R49ers1626@aol.com) To get the cars out of your way just get close to them and bump them, they will put on the breaks and move to the side of the road. This is also useful when you have a car going faster than you and is about to pass you. Before they have the chance to get away just bump um' and they will slam on the breaks. They usually beep at you twice. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Mode Health CodeBy: Skater886@aol.com In Mount Mahyem, drive untill you first reach the snow. Jump off the first ramp then follow the path straight. When you get to the jump to go down to the normal route, turn left off it and try to land on the big snow area. Turn around and drive up, look for a box and hit it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get a Jump StartBy: Skater886@aol.com To get a jump start, wait until the race is about to start. When it says "GO" imediately press L (the one at the top of the controller) to transport you to the same spot and you'll already be going 40-50 M.P.H.! This can be very helpful when trying to get ahead right away. Pressing L when racing is very useful too. Use it when you fall off a ledge before you blow up to save a lot of time or, when grabbing something way out of the way. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do 360s and More Off JumpsBy: Hotshot19 (Waffleca@aol.com) Ever wonder how they do 360s at the demo screen at the beginning of the game. This trick can be done easier if you have the hand brake power cheat. If you have it turn the power to insane. Now pick any level you feel has good jumps.(Mount Mayham has the best jumps) Right as you are at the edge of the jump press and hold left on the joystick and press the hand brake. Don't let go of the gas and hold all these buttons until you land. Now you can do 360s and more! My record is a 1080 off the big jump in Mount Mayhem. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ride on the Metro Madness BuildingsBy: Perry (olala98@yahoo.com) All you do for this cool shortcut is to chose Metro Madness track and any beetle. On Metro Madness, when you reach the Roman Palace hotel, right before it there is a jump you can go off. Then go right, off the roof of the hotel and you'll land on other roofs. What's cool about this is that it's like a whole new mini track. This shortcut is good on two player mode, to see if you can bash the other guy off the roofs and fall to their death. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two Groovy Box's on Inferno IsleBy: Skater886 To find 2 groovy boxes go to inferno isle. To get the first one, follow the track until you get to the first jungle area, soon after that you will see a dirt road jutting off the road on the right. Go down the road and a bit after that when there is a yellow glow look to your right there will bee a small rainforest hut and a ramp leading to it with a way to get 10 bonus points. Go to the ramp and just before you hit the ramb hold down b and as soon as you hit the house wich will shatter hold down down c to. Hopefuly you will stop on the greyish platform. Turn around to your right and you should see a red flower box. Hit it, you should then hear the word groovy, then press L to saffely get to the main road. This may slow you up a bit but you should be able to catch up if you're good at taking short cuts. To get the second one enter the town either from the dirt road or the main track. after making the first wide turn aim right while jumping off the ramp right under the arch. You'll see a flat roof land on it and turn around to your right and hit the groovy box you'll hear the word groovy then press L to quickly make it to the main road again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Telephone SoundBy: WolfpacJes@aol.com In Coventry Cove, go to the town right after the big bridge that go past the waterfall. Right after the shortcut when you turn left and go over the boat in the water, there is an alley on the right with a phone booth on the corner. If you hit it dead on it will dent and you will hear "I'm sorry, your call won't go through". Its pretty funny! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CheatsBy: Anonymous and Skater886 VIEW MODE - To activate the "VIEW MODE" cheat on the cheat menu, go to Inferno Isle. in the area that looks like a village, on the right side of the road is a house with a flat-looking roof. jump your beetle at an angle and land on the roof. then go into reverse and break the Daisy Crate hidden there to activate the View Mode cheat under options. you will be able to select Normal, Fisheye and Tunnel view modes. TIME LIMIT - First select Championship and select any circuit. Make your way to Inferno Isle. At the end of the race, when you are at the village during the lava flow, look for a house near the finish line. Crash through the house to hit the Flower Box. You will hear the announcer say groovy. Finish the race, and now you have you can set a time limit of 1-6 minutes for the Beetle Battle. COLOR CHANGE - Start a championship on any circuit. Make your way to Mount. Mayhem. As soon as you reach the grassy area at the end (staying on the path) of the tunnel, turn right. Look near the tree, and you will see the Flower Box. This lets your car, and the computer's, to change colors during the race. ? MODE - Start a championship, and select any circuit. When racing in Coventry Cove, take the jump to Stone Henge, right after the tunnel after the barn. Stop in the middle of Stone Henge. Now drive along the coast, looking behind the stones. You should spot the Flower Box. Now finish the race. Now you can control what comes out of the ? Boxes in Beetle Battle. TRACK MUSIC - Select championship, and choose any circuit. When racing on Mount. Mayhem, look for the opening to the REALLY deep cave. Instead of going in through the bottom entrance, steer to the left, and jump through the top. You should land on an upper floor. (I can only reach this with the ALien Beetle). When the tunnel forks off, turn the right (the one that goes up). After crossing the bridge, make a sharp left, and the flower box is stuck in the snow near the bridge. Now you edit the music played when racing to Normal or Random. LADYBUG COLOR CHANGE - Select championship, and choose any circuit. When racing on Inferno Isle, turn to the right before entering the T-Rex compound. Follow the muddy path and then turn left on to the dock. Use the ramp on the dock to land on the house/island in the middle. Look through the rubble, and you will find the Flower Box. Finish the race. Now you can control how fast the Ladybugs change during a Beetle Battle. You can select between: Normal, Slow, Fast, and Insane (which is very annoying). HANDICAP - TWO PLAYER - Select championship, and select any circuit. When racing on Coventry Cove, make your way the the big junction where the draw bridge, crane, warehouse, and train tracks are. After crossing the river, turn around and look for the gray fence. Drive along the fence, and you will come a cross a whole in it. Enter the hole, and inside the fenced area, you will find a Flower Box. Now you can control the handicap for 2P races. You can choose between: Off, Normal, Slow, Fast, and Insane. HANDBRAKE POWER - Select championship, and select any circuit except for novice. When racing on Sunset Sands, turn left at the first big pillar in the dunes. You should now be in a road which jumps onto a sand mound which jumps into the top of the big temple. Do not go into the temple yet. Before you actually go inside, explore the "patio" of the temple. You should find a Flower Box in a far corner. Now you can control how powerful the hand brake is. You can select from: Normal, High, and Insane. NO MAP IN MULTIPLAYER - On the Conventry Cove stage, the area where you there are arrows pointing right. Hang a quick left and you will jump and grab a box worth five points. Your car will then land on an island with stone fixtures. Up ahead you can see a ramp with a box worth two points. Behind the fixture on the left,(if you're going too fast you will miss it)you will find a flower box. Crash through the flower box and make your way to the end of the stage to unlock the code to turn off the map in battle mode. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make Cars Pull OverBy: Skater886 Beetle Adventure Racing's computer drivers may take shortcuts and crash into you, but they're still law-abiding drivers. Once you have unlocked the Police Beetle, hold down the left C Button to sound your siren. If you get close, the other drivers will pull over to the side and stop their cars. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ShortcutsBy: Skater886, Joshy1095@aol.com, Sean Wilson, Hoop1015@aol.com, and megaabid2000@hotmail.com Metro Madness - When you are at the Ghetto area on Beetle Adventure Racing, (the place where the big pillars are in the middle and the sides are slanted.), pass two pillars and when you see the blockcades, go up either the very left or the very right sides and you will see openings in the blockcade. Keep following the path and make the jump at the end. This is a great shortcut! Sunset Sands - When racing through the inside of the temple that has exits on both the left and right sides, stay straight - grab a nitro box and jump the pit of lava. You'll land atop a structure with a large red octagon. BRAKE! and stop your beetle over it. Honk your horn and a secret elevator will bring you down to a cool shortcut that will get you ahead of the crowd in no time. Mount Mayhem - Make your way to Mount Mayham. When you start stay to the right and follow the road until you get to the first snowy part without a fence. Right next to the road there will be a jump. Jump it. Go through the garage door lookin thing . You can follow the road to the end and fly off the cliff and get some serious air or you can go to the end and then turn right a go down a pathway. Then you will go down ski jump and land in a half pipe, which is a shortcut that takes you to the big oval turn. Mount Mayhem #2 - After the first bridge in the snow keep driving straight ,soon you'll see a frozen lake.Drive into it.Soon you'll see that part of the wall looks a bit skinnier.Drive right into it.If you hear a huge shatter you made if you didn't try again.Keep driving.At the end of the shortcut a tiny jump leads back to the track don't turn if you have a high speed instead keep driving.If when you get to the other side the wall shatters keep driving straight if it doesn't you just miised a groovy box. Theater in Metro Madness - After you have got off the highway in Metro Madness, and you have passed the gas station go straight even though the arrows tell you to turn. Look for the big vertical sign that says "Theater" and crash through the glass. Now you are inside a movie theater! First you will go through the snack bar then you will speed through the main aisle and crash through the screen! Note: This isn't really a shortcut but it's fun to go through -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open Up Battle StagesBy: Skater886 Most of the game's Beetle Battle stages are hidden and have to be unlocked before you can square off against your friends. In order to get them, you need to enter the Championship mode and try to smash all the bonus boxes on the respective tracks. You have to collect all 100 points to unlock a new battle stage. All the battle stages are directly based on their track counterparts. Note that it is not necessary that you come in first in the races, but your points are not counted if you are disqualified. Tip: Use the Police Beetle to get the tracks. It's fast -- and you can force cars to pull over and take your time to collect the boxes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unlock New CarsBy: Skater886 To unlock variations of the New Beetle, such as the Racing Beetle, 4x4 Beetle and "Number 8," simply beat the Championship Mode on Novice and Advanced. Beat the following two difficulty modes for the two bonus cars. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra CarsBy: Skater886 Alien Beetle - To get the "I come in peace" Alien Beetle, beat the Expert Championship. Once you have completed Metro Madness, you will receive the super-fast rainbow- colored beetle. Police Beetle - In a nod to the Need for Speed franchise, EA has included a hidden Police Beetle in Beetle Adventure Racing -- but you'll have to work hard to get it. After beating the standard Championships, a new "Bonus" mode will open up. Beat this tough challenge (including Wicked Woods) to get the fastest car in the game, the Police Beetle. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cheat MenuBy: Skater886 Go to 1 player mode and select "Championship". Race on Coventry Cove and find the shortcut with the barn and 2 haypiles. Run straight into the the haypile closest to the road and you should hit a box. You will here someone say "Groovy!" if you hit it. Finish the race and go to "Options".
