| Bulbasaur : "Bulb" in the name "Bulbasaur" refers to the bulb on its back! Ivysaur: "Ivy" Ivy is taken from Poison Ivy the poisonious bush! Its also the name of a Batman and Robin Villian! Charmander: "mander" Is added after Char! Charmeleon: "meleon" Now for all you food-lovers out there charmeleon isn't a melon! meleon and melon have similar names. Charizard : "izard" was probrably taken from the word lizard! The "l" was cut off the name. Whould Charlizard sound like a good name?hmmmmm...... that gives me a idea...... Squirtle: "squirt" describes squirtle although he does have a powerful water gun attack! Wartortle: "wart" Ever had a wart? Well Wartortle hasn't! If you search all over wartortle's body, you won't find any warts! Blastoise: "Blast" Well what a good name for a pokemon! I mean after all , his hydro pump is a real blast! Caterpie: "Cater" If you wanted to pronounce caterpie of what the name looks like then you would get a pokemon that sounds tasty! "Cater" was taken from the word caterpillar a bug which of course caterpie is a bug! Butterfree: "Butter & free " I can't believe its not "butter"free! |
