Would you believe that Procter & Gamble has blinded and poisoned thousands of animals just to test their products?? It's true. Deodorants, hair care products, detergents, toothpaste and other products are tested on animals. To do so, lab technicians drip substances into the eyes of restrained rabbits, smear them on guinea pigs' skin (once rubbed raw), force chemicals down the throats of mice, and fill the cages of rats with fumes. This kind of poisoning can cause shaking, bleeding, vomiting, and death. Is this necessary??? It's not. There are no laws requiring labs to do these types of tests. Over 550 companies, including Amway, Revlon, Crabtree & Evelyn, and Gillette, make all sorts of household products without testing them on any animals. We need to get the message across to Proctor and Gamble as soon as possible. You can write to them at the address below.
