Many people think that owning a cat is a cinch, but really, it isn't. I have owned cats all my life, and that is one thing I have to fess up too! A cat is a commitment, like any other pet, but I guess you could call it a different kind of commitment. Cats want attention when they want it, and there it no changing that. if they don't get the attention when they want it, they tend to get fussy. At least, that is what I have found in prior experiences. Of course, cats can be great fun! They are there for you when you need them, they play, and do tricks. You only have to be there for them. A kitten will feel dejected if it doesn't have a playmate during the day. A grown cat will get fussy if you don't feed him/her on time. An older cat usually won't get accustomed to younger ones too quickly. This is why, if you have young children, you work constantly, or you are not on a normal (day to day) schedule, maybe a cat is not for you. As I said earlier, a cat is a commitment, a really big comittment!
