| BOARDING SERVICES Central Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital with facilities to board both dogs and cats. Boarding pets are housed with careful consideration to those that are hospitalized. Cages are ample to the size of your pet. Dogs are exercised and walked at least once daily. Anytime dogs or cats are housed together, the risk of contracting an infectious disease exists. Our record stands as evidence of the fine attention we pay to the safekeeping of our boarders. You are welcome to visit our facilities at a scheduled time of convenience for us both. Our hospital rules and regulations illustrate how we try to minimize any risks that might occur in the boarding situation; however, some are inherent and we cannot be responsible for those which are unpreventable. Our space is limited. Reservations should be made well in advance especially on weekends and particularly on holidays. In order to provide your pet with optimum health care and keep him in a safe environment, the following rules MUST be followed. 1) Vaccinations against rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo, bordatella, corona and feline respiratory viruses must be current. 2) Central Animal Hospital strongly recommends that dogs be tested yearly and kept on heartworm preventative year-round. While boarding, daily preventative will be administered free of charge. Heart Worm Medication (given monthly) should be brought to the clinic if your pet is due for such during the boarding period. 3) All dogs and cats will have an application of a monthly flea treatment upon entering the hospital. This treatment will prevent any transmission of fleas during and for up to 1 month after your pet's stay. 4) We are not responsible for items left with pets. These includes toys, blankets, towels and collars. Please remove all collars, including flea collars, before admission. 5) If your pet should become ill while boarding, we will make every attempt to reach you at the telephone number(s) you leave with us. If we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to administer emergency treatment and perform basic diagnostic tests for which you will be financially responsible. 6) Owners of pets with a known medical problem must inform the receptionist at or before admission. At our discretion, special charges will be made for any special feedings, medications administered, or any other services deemed necessary but not included in the basic boarding rate. Pets that must be medically monitored will be charged a hospitalization fee in addition to the customary boarding charges. 7) Those who wish to have their pets examined for a particular condition (i.e., eyes, ears, skin, etc.) while they are boarding will be charged the customary rates for such services. 8) No dog with "kennel cough" or cat with an upper respiratory disease will be admitted for boarding. 9) Animals will be admitted or discharged only during regular clinic hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 11:30 am & 5:30 pm to 7:00pm Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Sunday 9:00am to 100:00am Thank you for entrusting your pet to our care.
