There are 4 main kinds of Freestyle BMX. They are:
1.DIRT JUMPING
2.VERT
3.STREET(Course)
4.FLATLAND
In DIRT JUMPING, there are many different dirt ramps. Riders ramp off of the top of the take off, perform the trick while in the air, and then dive the front end for a landing. A pack is a group of dirt jumps in a rhythm section. The jumps are USUALLY in a pack of 3-12.
In VERT riding, the ramp look like a giant "U". The riders gain speed from one side, go up the other perform the trick while still in the air, then they go down the side of the ramp that they came up on.
In STREET riding, the course it set up to simulate riding around your city. Riders go over many obstacles, perform the trick, and come down to land.
In FLATLAND riding, the riders balance on 1 wheel while doing tricks such as Tailwhips, Hitchhikers, and many, many more.
