New Champions Crowned at SummerSmash
Two new champions were crowned at SummerSmash 2005, held on August 28 at the Elba Lions Hall. Kristian Klayton upset Biohazzard to win the Michigan Wrestling Organization championship in the main event with Damon Grey serving as guest referee. Klayton overcame Biohazzard's Weight of the World to end the "Toxik Tank's" 10-month reign as champion. Earlier in the night, the Only Perfect Nation's Aaron Orion captured his first championship by winning the MWO Impact title from the Power Trip's Jerry Draven. Both men gave it their all, but in the end Orion scored the pinfall and won the belt. Other organization titleholders had successful title defenses at SummerSmash. Pure Fury Jeff Clouse & Azreal retained the MWO Tag Team titles against the Fabulous Tobias J. Fargo & Ogre, while MWO Great Lakes champion Kaos held off former champion Guy Marshall.
Jayde & Adrienne join forces
In an unprecedented turn of events, two divas are looking to take on the men's tag team division in hopes of superstardom. Former rivals Jayde and Adrienne have aligned themselves and are focusing on taking on the other tag teams, made up of the male superstars in the MWO. The announcement came after Jayde told long-time partner Real Deal Michael Reaver that she would no longer accompany him to te ring for his future battles, saying that she was tired of watching him lose his grip in the MWO.
The Bash vs. Randy Shilling on Sept. 10
After viciously attacking MWO senior referee Randy Shilling at the conclusion of the August 26 Pro Wrestling Live, The Bash has been granted a match against his fellow Power Trip member, to take place on September 10 at Terri's Lounge in Flint. The Bash, along with tag team partner Levi Blue, announced the match at the opening of SummerSmash by revealing a flier with the match on it, along with the annoucement that Blue would act as special referee for the match. "Sabertooth" Shilling was the referee when The Bash was counted out against Adam Sniper on August 26, prompting the former MWO champion to snap and attack Shilling for the decision. Shilling made his only appearance at SummerSmash by awarding the Power Trip a win in their Last Man Standing match against Sniper and Donny Crow, but quickly left the ring in defiance to his partners. "Sabertooth" has not pubically acknowledged his upcoming match with The Bash.
