Hi Everybody:
We had a slight pullback overall on the Naz and even though we bounced off the 21 Day Moving Average we sit right about at the 50 Day. May be short-term critical at this point. If we can get over the 50 Day again we run into resistance in the 2180-85 area. We will just have to wait and see. I know I said that Id go from neutral to bearish if we went below the 50 Day
but I will remain neutral until I see which way we go from here.
The technical indicators I follow are again mixed
However the A/Ds were pretty poor this week after being very green last week. Of course we saw a nice volume move on Friday
but I basically discount that as it was Quadruple Witching Day AND the SP completed its Float Adjustment. Tuesday-Thursday were all down days on the Naz on above average volume. And although the QQQQ was up on Friday it was on low volume. If I was just looking at the Index charts on Friday and there was no Quad or Float Adj. I would say the day was bullish
But Ill reserve judgment for now.
The big news this week will be the Fed announcement on Tuesday at 2:15pm EDT. I believe most expect a .25 increase
but who knows what their outlook will be. Inflation stands at 3.6%...but in So. Calif it is now 5.2%.
The Bullish Percent Index on the Naz has once again slightly dipped below both the 10 and 50 Day MAs and technical indicators say the trend is down.
Precious Metals did very well last week with Gold hitting new highs
Normally, that would be a defensive indicator
Geez
the more I right the more Bearish Im becoming.
As always, I recommend Caution
