Weekend Report
July 10, 2005

Hi Everyone:

So the Naz goes from oversold to overbought. It was encouraging that 4 levels of resistance were broken this week; 2075-2080, 2090, 2098, 2106…But where’s the volume? Even Friday’s volume was mediocre. We really need a few 2bil+ up days for me to get excited right now.

Some of the technicals indicate short term upside though. The Short-Term Up/Down Moving Average for the Naz volume turned positive again on Friday and the New Highs/Lows are looking good. But the A/D issues oscillators are indicating a Short-Term peak this week. The NYSE looks about the same as the Naz. It will interesting to see if the Naz can blow out 2130. I’m not going to hold my breath though…I’ll remain neutral or should I say cautious for now. If we pullback I’d like to see 2080 hold. The key support level is still the mid 2040’s IMO.

Another little tidbit I follow is the OTC BB A/D’s. Even though you read all over the place that Friday’s move was “Across The Board”…the Declining Volume outpaced the Advancing Volume on the BB’s.

Don’t forget the CPI and PPI are announced this week…I’m more concerned about the PPI since those increases take a little while to hit us in the pocketbook.

Hopefully we will see some nice EPS reports this week. GE reports Friday.

For the week, the Dow Super Sectors were 10 up 0 down led by Technology +3.03%

Top DJ Groups were Biotech +7.39% Auto Parts +5.24% Steel +5.13%...The worst groups were
Gold Mining -2.31% Water -.86% Personal Products -.76%

A/D/U Issues for the week:

Nasdaq 2232/1052/79
NYSE 2487/1007/81
AMEX 665/405/67

The DJIA A/D/U was 22/8/0 led by IBM up over 4%. The DJ Composite was 48/17/0 and the Major DJ Groups were 88/12/0.
