Hi Everybody: Oil and Gold up…Markets Down…it is about time. Although, I think we see a decrease in the price of oil this week with the announced increased production. Technicals indicate further downside. I believe it would be healthy to see the Naz down to the low 2100’s. The 50 dma is 2115. Major support is in the low 2060’s. As I mentioned last week the Short-Term A/D’s have been deteriorating for several weeks. They are now negative on both the Naz and NYSE. The only decent technical indicator I see on the Naz is the tightening of the Bollinger Band width. For the week, the Dow Super Sectors were 2 up 8 down. . Top DJ Groups were Platinum/Precious Metals +7.84% Gold Mining +4.75% Footwear +4.59%...Worst Groups were Home Construction -6.09% Transportation Services -5.61% Home Improvement Retailers -5.37%. Top Group Y-T-D is Coal +56.44% and the worst is Industrial Machinery -37.24% A/D/U Issues for the week: Nasdaq 1229/2064/94 NYSE 1371/2131/99 AMEX 462/619/68 The DJIA A/D/U was 11/19/0. The DJ Composite was 19/46/0 and the Major DJ Groups were 31/69/0. Don't forget that the FOMC announces this week...Watch for keywords they may use.
