The Next Ketchum **Prologue**
Ok, here are the facts. Ash became Pokemon master, but after winning his 1,000 match, Ash became bored and retired to his good friend Brock. He then became the Professor of Pallet Town. Ash and Misty finally confessed their love for each other. They got married and had a boy named Tim. Brock got married to Girl about his age named Rose. They have a baby girl on the way and have decided to name her Ruby. Gary never was able to become a pokemon master, so he became the leader of the Viridian City gym. He settled down and Married Jazelle (From "The School of Hard Knocks") They had a son named Adam, who is Tim's rival.

**Chapter 1 "Tim's First Pokemon"**
"Time to get up!" Misty yelled up the stairs to her son.
"Awe, mom. Just five more minutes?" Tim said sleepy.
"You'll be late for getting a pokemon at your father's lab!" she yelled.
Tim was dressed and downstairs eating breakfast in about 10 seconds. After Tim scarfed down his breakfast he said goodbye to his mom and headed for his dad's lab.
**About five minutes later** "Dad, I'm here. What pokemon did you get Me?" Asked Tim excitedly.
"I have just the pokemon for you! It is an abra. Since it is psychic, it is only weak to bug and ghost type pokemon!"said his dad.
"Dad, if I am right, doesn't abra only know teleport until it evolves?" asked Tim.
"Yes, but I thought this abra a new move called Tele-slam. Abra will teleport above the enemy pokemon, and then drop down on them." said Ash.
"Cool, I'll take'em." Tim said excitedly.

** Chapter 2 "The path to Viridian"**
Tim grabbed his stuff, said goodbye to his dad, and then went on his way. On his way out, He ran into his rival, Adam.
"Watch out punk!" Adam rudely said to Tim.
Misty had gathered a small band to say farewell to Tim. Just as Tim was about to leave, Adam came out.
"I challenge you to a battle, Tim" yelled Adam.
"I accept." Tim said.
"Go, Abra!" Called Tim.
"Hah, this should be a cinch! Abra can only teleport! Go, Machop!" Adam called.
"Abra, use tele-slam!" Tim yelled.
"What the.." Adam said in wonder.
Abra did tele-slam and knocked out Machop in one hit.
"Yes! I won!" shouted Tim gleefully.
Adam and Tim went their seperate ways.

**Chapter 3 "Pewter City and the Stolen Pokemon"**
Tim had been walking through Viridian forest for about an hour when he spotted a pidgey.
"Awe, I'm gonna catch it!" Tim said happily.
"Go, Abra! Do tele-slam!" Tim called.
Abra did tele-slam, but amazingly, it only ruffled a few feathers! The pidgey began to attack abra.
"Abra, keep doing tele-slam!" Tim yelled.
Abra kept doing tele-slam until it got tired. When he stopped, an amazing thing happened. The pidgey began to evolve!. When it stopped evolving, it fainted.
"I guess it used the last of his energy to evolve." Tim said.
Tim threw a pokeball at it and caught it. Just then there was another suprise. Abra was evolving. It evolved into Kadabra.
Tim was walking along the path looking for more pokemon when he spotted a Caterpie. Tim silently called out his Pidgeotto and ordered it to attack. Pidgeotto did gust and knocked the Caterpie into a tree causing it to faint.
"Pokeball, go!" Tim called as he threw a pokeball.
the second it closed, there was a loud "DING" which meant that Caterpie was caught. It was getting dark, so Tim decided to set up camp. About an hour later, Tim was settled down and was looking for something to do. He finally decided to go fishing. He got out his rod and went to a nearby pond. There, he fished for about an hour when finally he got a tug. He reeled in the line and on it was a poliwag. He sent out Pidgeotto and ordered it to do quick attack. That caused the poliwhirl to faint.
"Pokeball,Go!" Tim yelled excitedly.
The "ding" sound was made and Tim knew he had caught it.
The next day, Tim was heading towards Pewter City when a man ran up to him. The man came up to Tim and told him to beware because there was a man near here that challenges people to pokemon battles, wins them, and then takes all their pokemon except for the weakest one. Tim headed to the location that the man told him when he got there, there was a small battle field and a man training some pokemon.
"Are you the one taking all the pokemon?" Tim yelled to the guy.
"Who's asking?" The guy called back.
Tim Ketchum. I challenge you to a pokemon battle!" Tim called.
"Ok," the guy said, " Two pokemon each. No time limit. If I win, I get all you pokemon. If you win, I give all the pokemon back. Is it a deal?"
"It's a deal." Tim said." Go, Casaba!"
"Go, Pinsir!" The man called. "Kadabra, use confusion!" Tim yelled.
Kadabra used confusion and it almost knocked out Pinsir.
"Pinsir, use vicegrip!" the man yelled.
Pinsir tried to use vicegrip, but Kadabra teleported out ouf the way.
"Use tele-slam, Kadabra!" Tim called.
Kadabra used tele-slam and knocked out Pinsir.
"No! Go, Scyther! Scyther, use slash!"The guy yelled.
"Go, Poliwag!" Tim called out. "Use hypnosis!"
Poliwag used hypnosis before Scyther could even try to attack.
"Now, keep using watergun until Scyther wakes up, then use hypnosis again!"
"Poliwag kept doing watergun and soon Scyther fainted.
"I win. Now you have to return all the pokemon to their rightful owners." Tim said.
Just then Poliwag began to evolve! It evolved into Poliwhirl!
Tim picked up his Poliwhirl and started heading for Pewter city again.

**Chapter 4 "Jade the Gym Leader"** Tim is headed to the Pewter City Gym when he sees a young boy running to the pokemon center. Tim askes him what happened and the boy told him that he had just tried to beat Jade, Brock's youngest sister and the Leader of the Pewter city gym, to a pokemon battle and he lost. The boy also said to beware because Jade has really strong pokemon. Tim says thanks and heads to the gym.
"I challenge the gym leader to a pokemon battle!" Tim yelled when he was inside the gym.
"I accept!" Jade yelled. "Two pokemon each and no time limit."
"Poliwhirl, go!" Tim yelled.
"Graveler, Go!" She yelled.
"Poliwhirl, use watergun!" Tim yelled.
"Graveler, watch out!" Jade yelled, but it was too late. Graveler was knocked out.
"Go, Golem!" Jade yelled. "Golem, use rock throw!"
"Poliwhirl, use hydro pump and watch out for golems rock throw!" Tim yelled.
Before golem could use rock throw, Poliwhirl used hydro pump knocking out Golem.
"Here is your badge." Jade said. " Hey, what is your name? Your the only person who has beaten me."
"Tim Ketchum" Tim replied.
"Wait, did you just say Ketchum?" Jade asked.
"Yea." Tim said.
"Is your dad Ash Ketchum?" Jade asked.
"Yea. Why?" Tim asked.
"Because you dad knows my brother, Brock." Jade said.
"Hey, I didn't know he was your brother! I know him too." Tim said. " I have to go know. Bye."
"Bye, jade said.

Tim is on his way to Mt. Moon when he meets a breeder named Matt that wants to battle.
"Go, Kadabra!" Tim yelled.
"Go,Gengar! Matt yelled." Gengar, use Hypnosis!"
Gengar used hypnosis and put Kadabra to sleep.
"Gengar, now use drean eater!" Matt yelled.
Gengar flew into Kadabra's head and Kadabra started to wimper like he is having a bad dream. Then Gengar flew out of Kadabra's head.
"Gengar, finish it off with nightshade!" Matt yelled.
Gengar used nightshade and Kadabra fainted.
"Wow, you're the first person to beat me!" Tim said I'm awe. Then Tim asked if Matt wanted to join him on his voyage. At first, Matt didn't want to, then Matt heard Tim last name....
"Ketchum! Your Ash Ketchum's son! Oh please, oh please, oh please, take me with you!" Matt said.
"Ash is the one who got me interested in pokemon! He is my hero!" Matt said.
"You can come." Tim said.

**Chapter 5 " The aunts of Cerulian City"
*Auther note* Mt. Moon It too long too write out.* Tim and Matt go through Mt. Moon. Tim Catches a Geodude and a Clefairy. Matt catches a geodude and a zubat.
Tim and Matt are in the Cerulian City gym waiting for the person who is battling the Sensational sisters to finish. The person walked out and Matt and Tim walked in.
"Hi Aunts!" Tom said When he saw the sensational sisters.
"Aunts?" Matt asked.
"Yea. My mom, Misty Waterflower, Is their sister." Tim said.
"Hi Tim. Are you here to visit or for a badge?" Lily Asked.
"I'm here for a badge, Aunt Lily." Tim said.
"Do you want me to battle you, Tim?" Asked.
"Sure." Tim said.
"Go, Seaking!" Violet Yelled.
"Go, Kadabra!" Tim Yelled. "Kadabra, use tele-slam!"
Kadabra used tele-slam, and with it's weight, it caused seaking to faint.
"Go, Dewgong!" Violet yelled. "Dewgong, use Icebeam!"
"Kadabra, use tele-slam when Dewgong shoots his icebeam!" Tim yelled.
Kadabra did as told and he avoided the icebeam and he did tele-slam.
"Kadabra, now use confusion!" Tim yelled. Kadabra used confusion and knocked out Dewgong. "You won. Here is your badge and a little present form us." Violet said as she handed him the cascade badge and a water stone.
"Thanks aunt Violet! Bye!" Tim said as he and Matt left.
Tim and Matt were at the Pokemon Center when Tim noticed a girl about his age sitting in the waiting room. Se is 5'3" with shoulder length hair and baby-blue eyes. He was standing there thinking "She is pretty cute." but what he didn't know was she was staring at him thinking the same thing. He finally worked up the nerve to go over and sit by her.
"H-hi." He said nervously.
"Hi." she said, surprised that he was talking to her.
"What's your name?" Tim asked.
"Sara, Sara Starr. And you?" Sara asked.
"Tim Ketchum." he replied.
"Are you related to Ash Ketchum, the ex-pokemon master?" she asked.
"Yea, he's my dad. Why?" Tim asked.
"Because his rival, Gary Oak, is my uncle." Sara said.
"Would you like to join me and my friend Matt on a pokemon journey?" Tim asked.
"Sure." Sara replied. "I just have to make a phone call and I'll be ready." Tim said.
"I do too." Sara said.

Tim's phone call went like this-

Misty- Hello?
Tim- Hi mom!
Misty- hi Tim! Ash, get in here! Tim is on the phone.
Ash- Hi, son. How is your trip?
Tim- it's fine dad. I met two people who are going to come with me. I also caught a Caterpie, a Poliwag which evolved into Poliwhirl, and a Pidgeotto. Also Abra evolved!
Ash- That's great son. Also, you know that Charizard of mine that never would obey me? Well, You are doing so well, I thought maybe you could take care of Charizard for a while. I thought maybe you clould get it to listen to you.
Tim- Thanks, dad. Before I hang up, I need to say something. I think I'm in love!
Misty-Love!
Ash-Love!
Tim- Yea, love. You know I said there was two people I am traveling with? Well, One of them is a girl that is really pretty. I don't mean in love like Brock was with every girl he sees. (author starts laughing out loud.) I mean really and truly love. Her name is Sara Starr. Ah, my time on the phone is almost up. Bye mom! Bye Dad.
Misty- Bye.
Ash- Bye.

Sara's phone call went like this-

John- Hello?
Sara- Hi dad!
John- Hi Sara How is your training doing?
Sara- Fine! I've become a fire trainer just like you! So far I have a Charmeleon, Growlithe, Ponyta, and Vulpix! Is mom home? I wanna talk to her.
John- Just a minute. I'll get her.
May- Hello Sara!
Sara- Hi mom. There is something I want to ask you.
May- What is it?
Sara- How do you tell a boy how much you like them?
May- What!?
Sara- Well, I met this boy that I am traveling with, and I really like him.
May- Don't go telling him you like him yet. He may be a team rocket agent trying to get your pokemon.
Sara- I guess I can wait to tell him. Bye mom. Tell dad I said bye.
May- Bye Sara.

**Chapter 6 "Electric Meets Psychic"**
Tim, Matt and Sara were walking to Vermilion City, But Matt got them lost.
"Matt, you have the worst sence of direction I have ever seen!" Sara said.
"No I don't!" Matt said, trying to defend Himself.
"I hate to say it, but Sara is right. You're just like Brock Slate, a boy that traveled with my dad. He couldn't find his way out of a paper bag." Tim said.
All of a sudden, Brock appeared out of nowhere and hit Tim in the head with a mallet. (Anime style)
A few hours later, they finally found their way to Vermilion City. Tim was going to the Vermilion City Gym. When he got there, he challenged Lt. Surge to a pokemon battle.
"I'll make you a deal, Lt Surge, I only use I pokemon and you use two. Is it a deal?" Tim asked.
"Ok, but prepare to lose!" Lt. Surge said.
"Go, Riachu!" Lt. Surge called.
"Go, Kadabra" Tim Called. "Kadabra, use psybeam!"
"Watch out for the psybeam, Riachu!" Yelled Lt. Surge.
Because Riachu didn't know any quick moves, the psybeam hit dead on and knock him out.
"Go, Electrode! Use explosion!" Lt. Surge yelled.
"Kadabra, use reflect!" Tim called out.
Kadabra used reflect and when Electrode used explosion, Kadabra wasn't hurt.
"I guess you win." Lt. Surge said.
Then, all of a sudden, Kadabra began to evolve! It evolved into Alakazam.
Tim was headed back to the Pokemon Center when he saw a kid kicking his Pikachu.
"Hey kid! You know you could get in big trouble for mistreating your pokemon" Tim yelled.
"It's just a worthless Pikachu. I'll tell you what, If you don't say anything about me kicking this Pikachu, and you beat me in a pokemon battle, you can have the stupid Pikachu." The boy said.
They agreed to a 1 on 1 battle.
" Rhydon, go!" the boy yelled.
"Go, Alakazam!" Tim yelled. " Alakazam, make this quick, use psybeam!"
Alakazam did psybeam before Rhydon couldn't even move.
"I win. Now give me the pikachu." Tim said. "Here is the stink'n pikachu." The boy said.
Tim went back th the pokemon center to tell his friends what happened.

**Chapter 7 "Sara's birthday"**
It has been almost a month since Tim won the Pikachu and beat Lt. Surge. Right Now, Tim, Sara, and Matt are in Celedon City. Tim got Charizard to obey him, and he beat Erika with him. He evolved Poliwhirl into poliwrath with the water stone his aunts gave him, he finally got around to working with Caterpie, which is now a butterfree, and Pidgeotto evolved into Pidgeot.
It is Sara's birthday. Sara was opening presents that Matt and Tim gave her. First she opened Matt's present. Insided were three pokeball with her name engraved on them.
"Thanks, Matt!" She said happily. Then she opened Tim present. Inside was a pokeball with Eevee engraved on it and a fire stone.
"How did you get an Eevee? They are supposed to be hard to find!" She asked. "Last night, I was looking for a pokemon for you when I saw a charmander. I followed it to a door in and ally and then followed it upstairs. At the top was a man who just handed over the pokeball." Tim said. "Then I went to the pokemart and bought a fire stone so you could evolve Eevee into Flareon because you like pokemon." Tim said.
"Thank you for your presents, you two." Sara said.
Tim, Sara, and Matt spent the next day traveling to Saffron City. When they got there, Tim headed to the gym while Matt headed to a breeder shop and Sara went to a perfume shop. When Tim got to the gym, he found out that there was also a smaller gym. He went to the smaller gym first. When he got inside, he challenged the leader to a pokemon battle. They agreed to a 1 on 1 battle.
"Go, Hitmonlee!" The leader yelled.
"Go, Alakazam!" Tim yelled. " Use psybeam!"
Alakazam use psybeam and knocked Hitmonlee out instantly.
"I guess you win. I don't have any badges because no one has ever beaten me before. You can take one of my prized pokemon." The leader said.
Tim chose Hitmonchan and then left. Then he went to the other gym. When he was there, he found out that not only could you fight Sabrina for a badge, but you could also battle her daughter, Nicole. Sabrina was busy with another trainer, so Tim had to fight Nicole.
"Go, Kadabra!" Nicole yelled.
"This should be easy! Go, Alakazam!" Tim yelled.
"Kadabra, use psybeam" Nicole Yelled.
"Alakazam, Use reflect!" Tim yelled.
Alakazam used reflect when Kadabra used psybeam. The psybeam reflected off of Alakazam and hit Kadabra, almost knocking him out.
"Now, use tele-slam!" Tim yelled.
Alakazam used tele-slam, knocking out Kadabra.
"You win. Here is your Marsh Badge." Nicole said. Tim took the badge and left. On his way out, Tim ran into Adam.
"So, you lost to another gym leader, I see." Adam said rudely.
"No. For your information, I haven't lost a single gym battle." Tim said flashing his 5 badges.
" You probably got those out of pity, just like your LOSER father!" Adam said then started laughing.
"Don't you talk that way about my dad. I challenge you to a pokemon battle right now!" Tim said as he was starting to get really p***ed off.
"Alright. Go, Machamp!" Adam yelled.
"Go, Butterfree!" Tim yelled. "Hah! If you are smart, you would have brought you starter pokemon." Adam said, laughing.
"I brought out butterfree to show you I could beat you with any pokemon I've got. Butterfree, use Sleep powder!" Tim yelled.
The sleep powder took affect quickly and Machamp was asleep. "Now, use Psybeam!" Tim yelled.
Butterfree launched a bright colored beam at Machamp knocking him out. Tim had won the battle.
"Well at least you have one good pokemon. What all do you have, an Abra, Pidgey, and Butterfree?" Adam asked rudely.
"No, for your information, I have an Alakazam, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Charizard, Poliwrath, Pikachu, and a Hitmonchan." Tim said.
With that statement, Adam's jaw dropped to the ground.

Tim headed to the Pokemon Center, Tim, Matt, and Sara's meeting place, to tell Matt and Sara what all happened.
