Is Y2K doom upon us? And whatever happened to Nostradamus and planetary alignments? Suddenly all-but-forgotten by the fickle human race! Is this a sign that the computer is our new God?

My opinion, as made rather clear in the overall tone of this site:

1) It might happen.
2) It probably won't.
3) Whether it happens or not, there is bound to be some panic or at least over-caution.
4) Even if it does happen, I am not rich enough to do much about it.
5) If not for the extreme popularity of this issue, I would not bother to give it this special chapter.

What can be accomplished here? What can MoneyData offer that is not being done by someone else, a hundred times over? In a word: brevity.

I would like to publish:

1) A few samples of the most extreme "will happen" views.
2) A few samples of the most extreme "won't happen" views.
3) Any "clear facts" on this subject which are not commonly known. Without being repetitive, please.
