 Monique & André at the OPPVA dinner-meeting of November 2003. Over the years, Monique worked as a personal secretary, taught French as a second language, was in Court Administration, Ontario Court (General Division). She retired from that full-time position and is now working on contract, on a part-time basis, as a Judge's secretary in Superior Court of Justice of Ontario. André worked as an auto-mechanic, was a Military Policeman with the Canadian Armed Forces and subsequently joined the Ontario Provincial Police Force. He was a member of that Force for 30½ years, until retirement in 1994. Upon his retirement in June 1994, he had served a total of 33½ years as a police officer. André was the recipient of The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal from the Province of Ontario and The Exemplary Service Medal with a Silver Bar and Maple Leaf, from the Governor General of Canada. André is a Life Member of The Ontario Provincial Police Association *** A Life Member Of The Canadian Police Association *** A Life Member Of The Police Association Of Ontario *** A Life Member Of The Ontario Public Service Quarter-Century Club *** A Member Of The Police Retirees Of Ontario Inc. *** An active Member of The Ontario Provincial Police Veteran's Association, Chapter # 10 N (Pembroke) *** A Member Of The Island Brae Golf Club, Allumette Island, Quebec *** A Member of The Pembroke Curling Club. Monandy's Interests and Hobbies: Cooking, reading, music, computers, genealogy, television, movies and travelling. They also enjoy swimming, curling and golf.
