| Hi! My name is Robert B. Mancuso and I am a Canadian researcher, educator, and inventor. Aside from pondering the mysteries of the universe and figuring out what makes things tick, I have had a life long fascination with inventions and the processes of inventing. I love inventing to the point of being obsessed (ask my wife!), but with the aim and hope of making our little planet a bit better place to live. The history of human physical and sociocultural development is inseparable from the evolution of human technologies. The hall mark of humankind is the ability to conceptualize, produce, and utilize tools. Human evolution is based on the adaptive usage of the tool. We are married to the tool for better or for worse! Yes, we have had problems caused by some of our technologies, but it is my belief that inventors, now and in the future, will devise ways to permit a permanent change in the course of world history along a path of sustainable growth which far far offsets any of the negative effects of our past technologies (due to social mismanagement) if we learn to manage and utilize these tools wisely. It is in this spirit that I do invent. |
