War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill ~ (1868)

A Tribute To Our Troops
A Tribute To You Our Soaring Eagles
As I sit down to write the content for the military community I hear the news in the background stating that the alert has been elevated to high. I cant help but cringe knowing in my heart that we are still at war. Tears spring to my eyes as I think of the empty seats across America this Holiday season. So many families will attempt to celebrate the holidays knowing that their loved ones are out there facing the elements and danger, refusing to accept that some won't come home. What can I say to the men and women who without knowing me are willing to die for me? Thank you falls short
The only thing I can say is that I dont have to look for angels in heaven, there are plenty here on earth which have taken the form of men and women in uniform. To you my Tired Angels I say thank you and I honor your families. Lets not forget these Tired Angels, tired of fighting against adversity, their own doubts and protecting their country. Your effort, commitment and sacrifice have not gone unnoticed. Welcome to Angels Ground!
