Mario's buddy is full of vim and vigor and can't wait to get into the ring to show the other contestants that this little dinosaur's fighting skills are far from extinct. Yoshi is one of the fastest fighters, and has an impressive jumping range. His egg attacks are a little weak, but they give him an advantage at a distance.

KICK (A button)
Yoshi's tiny arms don't pack much of a wallop, but his legs sure do!

RELEASE EGG (Press B)
Press the B Button to slurp up your opponents and leave them momentarily encased in an egg.

SLURP 'N' BURP (B button)
Lash out with your tongue and swallow your competitors. Then turn to an edge and spit them into the abyss.

THROW EGG (Hold up and press B button)
Toss one of Yoshi's eggs into the air and whoever it lands on will get shelled right out of the ring.

HIP DROP (Hold down and press B)
Use the full force of Yoshi's jump on your opponents by executing a Hip Drop directly above them.

Straight out of Yoshi's Story, this level is just too darn cute for fighting. How are you supposed to kick tail when a smiling heart is showering everyone with joy? But if you manage to overcome the cute music and work up some anger, the simple design of this level is perfect for pummeling. Power-ups often appear on the clouds floating to the left and right of the arena. Grab them quickly, because the clouds will vanish after a few seconds.
