Throughout the years, TSA has been filled with some of the most hard working, kind people I will ever meet. One lad I know is in only seventh grade and wakes up at five o' clock every morning in the summer to go on his paper route. Another girl I know has been on the distinguished honor roll every marking period for the past four years, her entire middle school career. They are both wonderful people and have found in TSA a way to apply their skills. It is no mistake that TSA attracts this type of person, It takes hard work and determination to get anywhere in TSA. Procrastinating is a NO and this does not suit well with many. Those who can't take the pressure or just find TSA isn't their thing quit TSA in the first month and never even experience the excitement of regionals. Some stay though for the long hall and they are rewarded with so much more than a simple medal. Through TSA children become leaders. This I would call a great reward. Events such as Video Challenge and Marine Design Challenge make us work together and listen to others to get the job done. Challenging Technology Issues takes us kids into the real world and forces us to form our own opinions about highly controversial issues in today's society.
The thing that really makes TSA special is that it doesn't make us leaders by telling us what to do and how to do it but by putting us in situations where sitting by will not work. Don't be suprised if that paper boy that goes doown your street every morning one day commands a great army or if that girl becomes the first woman president. We are your future and thanks to TSa there are leaders among us. |
