Of course, with the high rising, and ever-growing, popularity of Pokemon (Red and Blue specifically), you have to assume that the marketing wizards behind Pokemon (and Nintendo) would not pass up an opertunity to cash in on another video game featuring our beloved creatures. And so you have Pokemon, Gold and Silver. they are said to be the sequals to Red and Blue, and are also expected to have many new features. Because not much information has been released about this 'still-in-the-works' project, we can only infer based upon what we have experienced so far in Pokemon Red and Blue, and upon sensefull rumors.
It only makes sense that Nintendo would create more Pokemon for Gold and Silver (also called Pokemon 2.) We are expecting at least 10 new Pokemon, but flying rumors suggest around 80 new species of Pokemon. Wow, that's a lot more names to memorize =o) Even with the new Pokemon, new features to the game (like Pokemon breeding) are hopefully going to be included in Gold & Silver.
