| Team Rocket is an organized group of Pokethieves that steals pokemon. The top leader of Team Rocket is Giovanni, who is also the gym leader for the Viridian City Gym. The main characters we saw in every episode except the first are Jesse and James, who are followed by their talking sidekick Meowth.All they carry of pokemon are four. Jesse has Arbok and Lickitung, and James has Weezing and Victreebell. Although their pokemon are good, they still can't seem to capture ash's pikachu, which is all they really do in the cartoon. Other members of Team Rocket are Butch and Cassidy, who carry a Raticate. Among Jesse and James is their annoying yet still more annoying motto, drumrool please...dum, dum, dum, dum... Prepare for trouble, And make it double. To protect the world from devestation, To Unite all peoples within our nation, To denounce the evil of truth and love. To extend our reach to the stars above!
