There are 63 Pokémon in Pokémon Snap, but if you can't find them all, then this page is for you! Included are the locations of the 6 signs and how to get the perferct picture.

Pokémon Locations

001 Bulbasaur: At the beginning of the river stage, you will notice some stumps on the left with bulbs sticking out the top. Use a Pester Ball and hit the bulb to make Bulbasaur come down. You can also snap some pics of the "Strange Bulbasaur" in the cave (See also #132 Ditto) Knock the two Bulbasaur off the stumps in the River and lure a third one out by chucking a Ball into the log between them. Get them all together with Pokémon Food for a great shot!

004 Charmander: There are plenty of Charmanders in the volcano level. There is one near the middle of the level by a Magmar. Chuck some food between them and watch Magmar shoot fire at Charmander. But, Magmar will go down when Charmander evolves! For another great shot, don't knock the Moltres egg into the river. Instead, let the 0-1 stop and look to thje left. There are two Charmanders. Put some food between them and they'll call their friends! A group of Charmanders is worth a lot!

005 Charmeleon: You can make the Charmander evolve (above), or you can wait until the end of the stage to see one circling around a lava pool. Snap a picture of it, but read the next line for some fun!

006 Charizard: Knock the Charmeleon into the lava pool and watch it evolve! Charizard is a great photo, but for really high marks, hit it with a Pester Ball or peice of food. Charizard will get angry and shoot fire at you! Now that's a great shot!

007 Squirtle: At the beginning of the valley, there are shells floating in the water. If you hit one with a Pester Ball, a Squirtle will come out of the water. Get all the shells out for a nice group photo. Don't forget to feed them! The Squirtles at the end will even help you into a new area (See #056 Mankey and Prof. Oak's secret cove)

011 Metapod: There are Metapod dangling overhead in the river. Hit one with a Pester Ball to knock it down for a cool closeup. Knock them all down for a high marking on the photo.

012 Butterfree: Butterfrees frolic on the beach. Pairs of Butterfree can be found flying around, and are good for points if you get nice and close. My best Butterfree picture was only a single Butterfree.

014 Kakuna: Kakunas drop down at the beginning of the tunnel, and more come down when you make Electrodes self-destruct. There is one point where you can get four Kakunas in the frame at once, so stay alert.

016 Pidgey: There are lots of Pidgeys on the beach. They will start flying by you at the beginning of the stage, so start shooting! The two Pidgeys that Whirlwind the Meowth near the end are worth a lot, but the trouble is getting them to face foward. You'll have better luck with the Pidgey trio when you start.

025 Pikachu: You can find Pikachu all over the island! Give them food to see them do a backflip, or smack them with anything for a funny pose! Play the Pokéflute, and they'll start using Electric attacks worth big points!! But that's not all you can do! On the beach, lure the Pikachu over to the surfboard with food and with a surf! Find Scyther, and lure it out along with some Pikachus! Start taking pictures of the Pikachu right at the biginning of the tunnel to make it keep moving until it reaches an Electrode. Then it will ride Electrode! Smack the Pikachu at the end of the river and watch at run as fast as it can! In the cave, hit the Zubat carrying Pikachu and awaken Articuno. Then turn around at the Jigglypuff stage to see Pikachu riding Articuno!

027 Sandshrew: At the beginning of the valley, there are Geodudes clinging to the rocks. Use a Pester Ball to knock it off. Each Geodude you knock off brings a Snadshrew up from underground! Knock all three off and give the three Sandshrews food, and watch them jump for joy!

028 Sandslash: Sandslash is right after the Sandshrews, but it's shy. It burrows underground and won't come out. Knock the two Geodudes off the wall where Sandslash was to bring down the Graveler on top and also to re-surface Sandslash.

037 Vulpix: The beginning of the volcano has some Vulpix, but they're shy. Give them food, however, and they'll do a cute little happy dance!

039 Jigglypuff: In the cave, you may see three Jigglypuffs, but they're all being tormented by Koffings! Hit the Koffing with a Pester Ball to save the Jigglypuff! At the end of the stage, Jigglypuff will be so happy you saved it that it will sing for you! If the save the other two, they'll dance to Jigglypuff's Song! And for some fun, you can make Jigglypuff mad by playing you PokéFlute while it sings. Good for high-marking pictures.

041 Zubat: In the tunnel, there are two big doors. When they open, a Zubat will fly past. Start snapping, because they don't wait around! Eaiser Zubat pictures can be found in the cave, but still, they're tough to photograph.

045 Vileplume: In the river, you can see the top of a Vileplume shooting Poison Powder into the air. Play your PokéFlute, and Vileplume will jump up dancing! Play different tunes to see Vileplume do different dances.

050 Diglett: In the tunnel you can find a Pikachu playing with a Diglett. When you take Diglett's picture, Pikachu seems to run a little further down. Take it again, and he moves a little more. Keep doing this. (read next line)

051 Dugtrio: Diglett isn't happy about you chasing it, so it will evolve into a rather angry Dugtrio.

052 Meowth: On the beach, there are playful Meowth. The first one you see will stick out it's tongue for a pretty funny shot. But when you see Meowth chasing Pidgey, hit it with a Pester Ball and knock it out for another funny shot. The Meowth getting attacked by Pidgeys is funny too (See #016 Pidgey)

054 Psyduck: The Psyduck swimming in the river looks peaceful. Hit it with a Pester Ball and it will jump up screaming for a great shot!

056 Mankey: There are Mankeys all over the valley, but none of them seem close enough. Knock down the Mankey at the end of the stage using Squirtle (See Oak's secret cove) for a nice closeup.

058 Growlithe: In the volcano, there are three craters right after the Moltres egg. Chuck a Pester Ball into them and if your lucky, a Growlithe will come out barking. If your lucky enough to get three of them to come out, you'll get a high marking on the Pokémon Report.

059 Arcanine: After you finish the volcano stage, go right back and go to the same crater you found a Growlithe in. Toss in another Pester Ball, and out will come an Arcanine!

060 Poliwag: The Poliwag at the beginning of the river are hiding in the grass, but if you hit one with a Pester Ball, it will charge down the slope and hop into the river.

070 Weepinbell: In the cave, there is a Weepinbell circling a small pool. Take a picture of it, and then knock it in! (See next line)

071 Victreebel: When Weepinbell gets knocked in, it evolves into Victreebel! As soon as Victreebel hops up, start snapping away, because jumping Victreebel is worth some high points on the report.

074 Geodude: As mentioned with Sandshrew and Sandslash, Geodudes come down when you hit them with Pester Balls in the valley.

075 Graveler: For the best picture, look on the right after the first rapid in the valley, and you'll see three Graveler clinging to the wall. Play the PokéFlute, and they'll jump down to do a dance for you!

078 Rapidash: At the biginning of the volcano, Rapidah will gallop past you. Throw some food into their path, and they'll neigh on their back legs!

079 Slowpoke: Two Slowpokes reside by the river. They don't do much, but if you can lure them to the water's edge, they'll stick their tails in.

080 Slowbro: After Slowpoke's tail is in the water, a Shellder will grab it and Slowpoke will evolve! Slowbros don't face you, so give them food to turn them around and smile.

081 Magnemite: There are Magnemite at the end of the tunnel, but you can't focus on them because they hate having their picture taken. Give them some food to distract them, and they won't pay attention to you!

082 Magneton: If you get all three Magnemites together, they will band and form a Magneton!

084 Doduo: There are two Doduo on the beach, and they move fast. Hit one with a Pester Ball to knock it out for a funny picture.

088 Grimer: In the cave at the beginning there are two Grimers who are far away. If you take their pictures anyway, a third will appaer right around the corner for a great closeup!

089 Muk: Hit the closeup Grimer with a few Pester Balls and it will evolve into a Muk.

090 Shellder: Shellders pop up all over the river, but they keep their distances. Once you can speed up the 0-1, you will be quick enough to snap their picture.

091 Cloyster: Cloysters can be found at the end of the river. Like the Shellders, they keep their distance, so you better be quick.

093 Haunter: There is some purple mist in the tunnel. Snap some pictures of it, and when they develop, you will see a Haunter instead!

101 Electrode: Electrodes roll around in the tunnel, and some stay still. Hit the still ones with some food and watch them self-destruct!

109 Koffing: The Koffings in the cave are bullying the Jigglypuffs. Take Koffing's picture, and then hit it with a Pester Ball to save the Jigglypuffs.

113 Chansey: On the beach, an Eevee is chasing a round, pinkish looking thing. It with with food and you will see that it's a Chansey!

115 Kangaskhan: There is a Kangaskhan watching the Lapras on the beach. When you hit it with something it will turn around and yell at you. Angry Kangaskhan pictures are worth some good points.

118 Goldeen: Toss food and Pester Balls into the water in the valley and watch Goldeens jump up. Since it's not always a Goldeen that pops up, you better have your camera ready. Goldeens don't stay up very long. If your really skilled, you can try to knock one onto the land.

120 Staryu: In the valley, Staryus float above you. If they see you taking their picture, they'll start to circle the 0-1. This is good for something though (See next line to find out what I mean)

121 Starmie: When you get to the whirlpool in the valley, any circling Staryus will hop in. When they come out, they will have evolved into Starmies! Try to get all three Staryus to evolve for high points.

123 Scyther: On the beach, there is some tall grass and flowers on the left near the middle of the stage. Toss some Pester Balls in the grass and a Scyther will come out, screaming and slashing.

124 Jynx: The Jynxes at the end of the cave are just hanging around the Articuno egg. Play your PokéFlute, and they'll get up and dance.

125 Electabuzz: There's one Electabuzz chasing an Electrode at the beginning of the tunnel, but you can get better pictures of the ones working on the machines. By the Pikachu and Diglett, there are two Electabuzz working on machines. When you hit one, it turns around and does a tuunder punch that turns on the monitor. If you get Zapdos to switch the power one, both Electabuzz will be doing a victory dance!

126 Magmar: There's one Magmar by the Charmander, but for a really great picture, put some food between the two Magmars right after the Moltres egg. The two hungry Magmars will start duking it out for the food.

129 Magikarp: In every stage, chuck some food of a Pester Ball into water to see Magikarps jumping out of the water. But for some real fun, go to the valley stage. At the first fork in the river, hit the Magikarp jumping out of the water toward the Mankey with a Pester Ball. The angry Mankey will punch the Magikarp down to where the three Gravelers are. (See next line)

130 Gyarados: The Magikarp is lying by the Gravelers. Hit it with a Pester Ball and it will hop behind the waterfall. All of a sudden, a Gyarados will pop out! The angry Gyarados will roar at you, perfect for a high point picture.

131 Lapras: On the beach, look out into the ocean. Lapras pop their heads out all the time. Try to get several Lapras in the picture at once for super high points! Remember you lose points when the Pokémon is too far away from the frame, so try to shoot the closest Lapras possible.

132 Ditto: As mentioned before, the Bulbasaurs in the cave don't look right. Their faces are all wrong. Hit one with a Pester Ball, and you'll find out that it's not a Bulbasaur at all, just a Ditto in disguise. Ditto pictures are only worth high points when you get all three Dittos to change back.

133 Eevee: The Eevee on the beach is chasing Chansey. Once Chansey is back to it's jolly self, Eevee will be so happy it will do a happy dance.

137 Porygon: Near the end of the river, you may notice on the right side that there is something blending into the backround. Chuck a Pester Ball at the movement to send Porygon out of it's hiding place.

143 Snorlax: A huge thing is resting on the beach. Hit it with a Pester Ball and Snorlax will look up. Play the PokéFlute and watch Snorlax dance!

144 Articuno: Play the PokéFlute for the Jynx and they'll help hatch the Articuno. Save Pikachu from Zubat and you can see Pikachu riding Articuno.

145 Zapdos: Right after the Electrodes and Kakunas, a door will open. There's a Pikachu and an egg. Lure Pikachu over to the egg with Pokémon food and play the PokéFlute. Pikachu's electric shocks will hatch the egg and Zapdos will fly out. Zapdos will turn the power back on in the tunnel, which will help you find a Pokémon Sign (See Pokémon Signs)

146 Moltres: The egg is in your path. Hit it and knock it into the lava to make Moltres fly out screeching.

147 Dratini: Toss food and Pester Balls into the water in the valley to make Dratinis jump out.

149 Dragonite: When you reach the whirlpool in the valley, toss Pester Balls into it. If you do it right, the whirlpool will flash. Kepp doing this until a Dragonite flys out for a sweet closeup!

151 Mew: Once you reach the Rainbow Cloud, you will see a bubble with Mew in it! You can't focue on the bubble, so you have to get Mew out. Hit the first bubble with Pester Balls three times. It will break and Mew will fly past in a faster bubble. Hit this one three times and it will break too. The next scene will be Mew chasing another bubble. Start snapping away. If your lucky, Mew may even turn around and face the camera for you! He will then return to his bubble. Now you only have to hit the bubble once to drive him out. Mew's pictures are worth the highest out of all the Pokémon on the island!

Getting to new stages

Tunnel: Complete the beach stage.
Volcano: Hit the Electrode right before the Magnemites with Pokémon food and make it self-destruct, allowing access to Volcano.
River: Complete the Volcano
Cave: There is a button at the end of the stage with something behind it moving. Throw a Pester Ball at the movement to drive out the Porygon.
Valley: Complete the cave

Professor Oak's Secret Cove: At the end of the valley, there is a hill with a Mankey on top and a Squirtle on the bottom. When the Squirtle gets into it's shell, hit it with a Pester Ball to send it flying up the mountain. If your aim is right, the Mankey on top will fall off. Around the corner, the Mankey is glaring at you. Hit it with a Pester Ball and send it flying back to land on the button. The button opens up the door to Oak's Cove.

The Professor will send you after three scenery pictures that look like Pokémon. If you can find them all, he'll send you to the Rainbow Cloud to take pictures of Mew. Here are the locations. (Remember, the camera beeps when your aiming at something that you can shoot, so if your not sure about a certain sign, focus on it to see if it's right)

Beach: Near the biginning, keep looking to the left. You'll see a bunch of rocks that look like a Kingler.
Tunnel: Hatch the Zapdos so the power is turned on again. After the Electabuzz there is a light aiming at some equipment. The shadow that the equipment casts will look just like a Pinsir.
Volcano: The first crater in the volcano right at the start by some Rapidashs is spewing smoke. Toss some Pester Balls in until the smoke looks like a Koffing.
River: By the Vileplume is a strange tree that looks like a Cubone.
Cave: Where you saw the Jigglypuffs, Koffings, and Weepinbell is a strange shining thing on the wall. Take a picture of it. When the picture comes out, it will look like a Mewtwo!
Valley: The Dugtrio mountains can be seen right when the stage starts.
