1. Pokemon #1: Mewtwo Strikes Back. This was the first movie, and it was great! The storyline was about a misfit Pokemon, who learned a lesson that everyone belongs. It featured Mew and Mewtwo, and of course the regular gang. The music was entralling, and the dialogue had an appropriate theme to it. 8 out of 10.
2. Pokemon #2: The Power of One. This movie featured two new Pokemon, as well as a mini-movie which introduced many new Pokemon. The storyline was quite entertaining, as the viewer felt that Ash's adventure involved them. The music had an adventurous feeling to it, but I felt that the dialogue was a bit weak in some parts. Still a great movie, which deserves the review of 7.5 out of 10.
3. Pokemon #3: Spell of the Unown. This movie was a little slow moving at the beginning, but soon picked up speed. Some of the concepts were slightly difficult to wrap your head around at first, but, overlooking those two details, the movie was a lot of fun. There were some really intense battles throughout the story, as well as a very touching ending. 7.5 out of 10. |

4. Pokemon #4 Mewtwo Returns: This movie was a sequel to the first movie, but it was nearly as good. It was quite short, but it had some good parts. As usual, there was a very touching ending. There was the usual characters, but some special characters, including the evil Giovanni! Some flaws include the short storyline, which was already mentioned, the lack of adventure at the beginining, and some very boring dialogue throughout the adventure. Still, a good movie. 6.5 out of 10.
5. Pokemon #5 Pokemon 4Ever: Celebi Voice of the Forest. This movie was one of the most touching Pokemon movies since the original. It told the story of a masked man trying to capture the legendary Celebi, and it was up to Ash and co. to stop him. The events included time travel, seeing some new Pokemon, and, as mentioned before, a very touching ending involving Suicune. Overall, 8.5 out of 10. |
