Red/Blue Reviews

Ah, the games that started it all...Pokemon Red and Blue!!!!!! These games had imaginative adventures, unique Pokemon names and one of the snobbiest rivals ever!!!! The boss battles were tough and he idea of 'Gotta Catch 'Em All!' was still new. Overall, great games. I liked them and that's why I gave them a 9 out of 10.

The Remake, Pokemon Yellow, gave the unique feature of checking on Pikachu to see how he felt towards you. You could obtain all three starters through the main story and many of the areas, and trainers{ Like your rival, who became so weak it was pathetic }, were redone. It was a good game but there were not enough changes to make the game seem fresh, so that's why I gave it a 7.5 out of 10.

The Pokemon games Pokemon FireRed and Leafgreen, had great graphics,an excellent introduction and plenty of new items for beginning trainers, new features such as the Sevii Islands and changes and upgrades in the Elite 4's Pokemon. I think these games were better, that's right, better { I'm having a good day } than the originals. If they were not a remake they would get 10 out of 10, but since they are remaksthey get 9.5 out of 10.

Gold/Silver Reviews

The sequels to Red and Blue, Pokemon Gold and Silver had the best storyline to date. The games had many sidequests and new features such as the PokeGear,Berries,Hold items and new Pokemon!!!!! A few faults with this game were that some Pokemon names were annoying, the Elite 4 was very weak, and the Kanto in this game was pathetic!!!!!! All in all, very good games so I rate them 8.5 out of 10.

The remake, Pokemon Crystal, held many surprises. It had Pokemon animations, new events { such as receiving an egg when you entered Goldenrod } and new Characters, such as the Guy who was chasing Suicune { I forget his name } . It was a truly entertaining game, so it deserves the rate 9 out of 10.

Ruby/Sapphire Reviews

Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire were both very entertaining games. They had very good graphics, new 2 on 2 battles, new Pokemon { Yay! } and a very intriguing storyline which was the longest, at the time, of any Pokemon Game. These games finally gave more than one rival and evil teams who finally had a real motive for being evil. These games were a step in the right direction, so they receive 9.5 out of 10.

The remake, Pokemon Emerald, did not live up to expectations. There were about 5 new battles and the new feature, the Battle Frontier. The B. F. was exciting at first, but became old and people were wondering, I bought the game for this? I'm not saying it was a bad game. 6.5 out of 10 is respectable, but the game was not original enough to stand out.

Other Reviews

Pokemon Snap Review.

This game, for the Nintendo 64,had a different storyline than "Gotta Catch 'Em All!". It was about you, an upcoming photographer, on a quest to take pictures of Pokemon. I will never forget the fun in throwing apples at Meowth! This game was not the best Pokemon game, but was unique.6 out of 10.

Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 Reviews.

Pokemon Stadium 1: This game was great! It had different modes, like Stadium challenges and Gym leader challenges, all 151 Pokemon and it was in 3-D! A great game like this deserves 8.5 out of 10.

Pokemon Stadium 2:This game was not as good as the original because, aside from the new Pokemon, it did not really have anything new. The battle arenas were new, so that was a nice touch, but it only receives 7 out of 10.

Pokemon Collussium and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Reviews:

Pokemon Collussium Review: This game took Pokemon to a whole new level by having you "Snag" "Tainted" or Shadow Pokemon from evil trainers. There were no Gym Leaders {Except for the Pre Gym Leader Justy } but, somthing positive is, you didn't have to spend hours walking from town to town, for you just saw a scene where you were riding your motorbike, and then arrived at your destination. It was a good attempt to take a well known franchise and try something new,but not good enough because the game was too short.6 out of 10.

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Review:

The sequel to Collussium was much better, with new areas, new trainers { as well as some old favourites like Duking } and a longer storymode.Combined with minigames like battle practice at Realgam Tower and Bonsly Bingo, you have a game of 8 out of 10.

Pokemon Dash Review:

This game was the first game for the Nintendo DS and it was horrible! The graphics were not up to par, the selection of racers was limited to Pikachu, and the racing ideas of looking for Lapras to surf and using hot air ballons was different, but often frustrating. I bought the game and returned it the next day! Not a good game.3 out of 10.

Pokemon Trozei Review:

This Pokemon game was the first puzzle game featuring Pokemon for the DS. Unfortunatly, it was not a very good game. The gameplay is fun, but it is like the game was already made, and then Nintendo just stuck Pokemon into it, for it has no connections to anything Pokemon. Also, the gameplay can be quite annoying, simply because it gets so fast, plus some bosses posess special powers to alter the playing field, that the game is too fast to keep up with and, ultimately, in the end you will find yourself quite annoyed at this game. Do not get this game if you are looking for a strong, Pokemon RPG because you will be disappointed. 4.5 out of 10.

Pokemon Pinball 1 and 2 Review:

Pokemon Pinball: This game was quite innovative, because it stepped aside from the usual Pokemon theme and tried something different. The graphics were pretty good considering that it was for the Gameboy. The replay value was great since you couldn't really "beat" the game. This game wasn't for everyone, but was a great play in my opinion. 7 out of 10.

Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire Review: This game was the second Pokemon Pinball game and it was an excellent game!!! The graphics were good and the catching 'em all idea was very unique. I don't have a lot to say about these games, but I can say that they were a huge improvement from the original. 8.5 out of 10.
