Doyal Ruff
Doyal began his singing career on an E. Point, Ga. radio station singing Blue Grass duets with Grover Hilliard. Grover was called to preach and Doyal to raise his family, giving up a great career in music. However, he has continued singing on weekends in North Georgia area for over 40 years, operating the week-end show at Chatsworth for several years. Doyal is the group leader, lead singer and guitarist.
Doyal is married to Mary Jo and has two children and three grand children. Donny, his son, sings in the group. He worked for many years with the state of Georgia in the building maintenance department specializing in locksmith and elevator work at the state capital in Atlanta. Doyal missed his calling by not remaining in music after such a great start early in life. He is a native of Paulding County, Georgia and currently resides in Cartersville, Ga.
Donny Ruff
Donny, Doyal's son, and youngest member of the group, sings lead and tenor and plays the bass guitar. He has sung with several gospel, bluegrass and country groups and we certainly use that experience, featuring Donny on several of
our songs. He is married to Darlene and has two sons. Besides his singing career, he is a specialist in antique furniture refinishing, owning his own business.Donny is a graduate of Cartersvile High School and resides in Pine Log,
in Bartow County, Georgia.<
>Dallas Day
Dallas, affectionately know as "Lightin', plays the lead guitar, ala. Johnny Cash. What can you say? Some how he always upstages the group with his great 'pickin' and has to be featured just to appease the audience.
Dallas is married to Jeanne. He also worked for the state of Georiga in the building maintenance department at the State Capital in Atlanta. 'Lightnin' has played in bands with Doyal for over 50 years. He loves to sing, but Doyal says 'no' let him 'pick', that's what he does best. Dallas resides in Cartersville, Georgia

He also sang with Cheryl and Armand (previously with the Vogues) at Cheryl's LeCabaret on Hilton Head Island, usually doing back up harmony and his crowd pleasing, deep bass (in the Contra range) of 'Old Man River', 'You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma', (with Cheryl), 'Amazing Grace', 'Why Me Lord' or 'Elvira'.
