I'm sure most of you know about most of thes codes, but, here goes...
1) Fight Pokémon Near Cinnabar
Works for Red/Blue versions.
Enter a cave with rare Pokémon, the Safari Zone, or fight a trainer. Exit this and FLY to Cinnabar Island. Surf up and down the right coast of the island and you should eventually encounter different Pokémon from where you just were. This is a very helpful code. When I used it in the Safari Zone in Red, I was able to catch rare Tauros, Kangaskhan, and Scyther.
2) Skip the Seafoam Islands
Works for all versions.
If you don't know how to get past the Seafoam Islands, FLY to Pallet Town. Surf in that body of water all the way down to Cinnabar Island. You will not fight the trainers you would in Seafoam, and you won't get Articuno, but you do save a lot of time, and you can always go back! I always like a trick that saves me time during my game, but is that worth not getting Articuno? Hmmmm...
3) Cut Grass
Works for R/B/Y
Get a Pokémon that knows CUT and step into it. Use CUT and your Pokémon will hack away the grass leaving the bare ground.
4) Pokémon Without Embarrassing Nicknames
Works for Yellow(all versions if you trade)
In order to catch a Farfetch'd that is not named Dux, go to routes 12 and 13. It'll take a while to find 'em, but they're there.
In order to catch Lickitung that is not named Marc, go to the bottom floor of the Unknown Dungeon and you should find some. It isn't the most absolute need to know information, but what the heck...
5) Missingno. Code
Works for Red/Blue
Fly to Viridian City and talk to the Old Man. Say No to him and he'll show you how to catch a Pokémon. After he's done, don't step anywhere, just Fly to Cinnabar Island and Surf up and down the coast several times. You'll eventually find Missingno. and/or 'M[]'.
6) Old Man on Roof
Works for Red/Blue
You mustn't have the Secret Key, in order for this to work. Do the Missingno. code and Surf up and down the east coast of Cinnabar Island until you run into Missingno. or 'M[]'. Climb out of the water and walk in front of Gym's door. Now, it will say the door is locked, if you look towards the top of the Gym while it says this, you will see an old man standing on the roof.
7) Pokémon over Lv.100
Works for Red/Blue
Use the Missingno. Code. You might run into Missingno. or 'M[]'. You will soon find 1-3 different species of Pokémon either Lv.121, 141, or more. Pokémon vary within each version. Whichever Pokémon you find, will be determined by the name of you and your Rival.
Ex. Version: Red, Yourname: Ash, Rival's Name: Gary = Lv.141 Golbat and Snorlax.
