Easy Tool Upgrades
When inside the house, use your tools. This will help
you easily upgrade them without wasting time.
Free Chicken Eggs
When you get to the staircase put the chickens on
the roof.
NOTE: But be careful not to leave them out in a
typhoon.
Affection Heart Key
White Heart: Indifference
Blue Heart: Friendship
Green Heart: Flirty
Yellow Heart: Deep Affection

Collecting Recipes
BACON POTATOES: Give a potato to the Mayor.
BREAD PUDDING: Give an egg or milk to Elli.
CHAR STUFFED WITH MUSHROOMS: Give the
carpenter's apprentice (he can be found hanging
around the Carpenter's House) a mushroom.
CINNAMON MILK TEA: Give Elli's father milk from
your cows. If this doesn't work, give him some eggs
too.
CORN FRITTER: Give corn to Ann's father.
CORN PASTA: Give corn to Popuri's father.
CREAM OF TURNIP STEW: Give a turnip to Maria's
mother.
EASY TOMATO SOUP: Give a tomato to the guy who
collects your produce/goods.
EGGPLANT WITH MISO PASTE: Give an eggplant to
the Midwife.
FRIED CHAR: Give a fish to the fisherman.
FRIED MUSHROOM PIE: Give a mushroom to the
Priest.
GARLIC BEEF POTATO: Give a potato to the
Mailman.
GRILLED TROUT WITH CHEESE: Give a fish to the
carpenter closest to the river.
HERB RICE CAKE: Give edible grass to the old
woman in the restaurant at the mountain top.
HOT SPICY WINE: Find red berries (located in the
forest during the Fall) and give them to the bar
owner (he works behind the counter of the bar). If
this doesn't work, give him the oranges you can find
in the forest.
MASHED POTATOES: Give a potato to Ann.
MISO SOUP WITH SPROUTS: Find edible grass in
the forest and give it to the Potion Shop Owner.
MILK/BUTTER RECIPE: Give milk from your cows to
the tool man Rick.
MUSHROOM RICE: Give a mushroom to the Master
Carpenter (he's the one dressed mostly in white).
MUSHROOM SALSA: Keep giving mushrooms to the
Harvest Elves until they give you a recipe.
PICKLED TURNIP AND CABBAGE: Give a turnip to
the old man at the top of the mountain.
POTATO PANCAKES: Give a potato to May (the
Midwife's youngest daughter).
ROLLED CABBAGE: Give cabbage to Maria.
SESAME DANDELION GREENS: Give a medicinal
herb to Saibara (craft/ceramic shop owner).
SIMPLE TOMATO SOUP: After getting the Tomato
Soup Recipe from the Priest, keep giving him
tomatoes over several days' time until he gives you
this recipe.
SPA-POACHED EGGS: Give eggs to Kent (oldest
grandson of the Potion Shop Owner with blond hair
who hangs out in the church or outside the bakery).
SPICE TEA: Give several eggs to the weirdo Cliff.
STEAMED CLAMS WITH WINE: Collect as many red
berries as possible and keep giving them to Karen's
father until he gives you the recipe.
STRAWBERRY CHAMPAGNE: After Karen gives you
the Strawberry Wine recipe, continue to give her
strawberries until she gives you this recipe.
STRAWBERRY DOG: Give a strawberry to Stu (the
youngest grandson of the Potion Shop Owner with
black hair).
STRAWBERRY JAM: Give a strawberry to Popuri.
STRAWBERRY WINE: Give a strawberry to Karen.
STUFFED OMELET: Give an egg to Ann's brother
Gray.
TOMATO RICE: Give a tomato to Karen's mother.
TOMATO SOUP: Give a tomato to the Priest.
TOMATO VEGETABLE STEW: Give a tomato to
Popuri's mother.
TWICE COOKED TOMATOES AND GREENS: After
getting the Tomato Vegetable Stew recipe from
Popuri's mother, keep giving her tomatoes.
VERY BERRY WINE: Give fruit or a berry to Kai.
WALNUT CAKE: Give a walnut to Elli's grandmother.
Treasure Map
Use the A button to look inside the tree on your
farm. There you will find a Treasure Map.
Eternal Life For Elli's
Grandmother
Elli's grandmother (you know, the old woman
outside the bakery in the rocking chair) is supposed
to die during the game. If you aviod talking to her
later in the game, she won't die.
