The series begins as Freeza goes in search of the Dragonballs on Planet Namek. Bulma also discovers that
there are Dragonballs on Namek but it would take thousands of years to get there. PoPo appears and tells
about the ship that Piccolo and Kami used to travel to Earth. With the faster spaceship, Bulma, Klilyn, and
Gohan set out on a journey to Namek but arrive on an abandoned planet made to look like Namek. After a
while, they figure out that it is a fake planet, leave, and finally arrive on the real Namek. However, just as
they reach there, they discover that both Vegeta and Freeza, with his henchmen, have arrived. All are after
the Dragonballs, some for different reasons.

Goku later travels to Namek after recovering from the fight against Vegeta. During his trip, he trains at fifty
times Earth?s gravity and one hundred times Earth?s gravity. Meanwhile, Vegeta begins to fight against
Freeza?s henchmen. He first dispatches a scout that Freeza sends out by first hiding his power level. Then
he fights Dodoria and defeats him. Then follows the fight with Zarbon. At first, it looks as if Vegeta will win
easily. Then Zarbon turns into his second form and almost kills Vegeta. Surviving the fight, Vegeta gets
stronger and in the second fight with Zarbon, he eliminates him easily. Vegeta joins up with Krillin and
Gohan only to ensure that Goku is around so he can kill him. Freeza then calls on Team Ginyu to dispatch
Vegeta. Gohan and Krillin fight Guldo first, but Vegeta winds up killing him. Vegeta is then beaten by
Recoome and Gohan tries his luck, but is also beaten. Goku then shows up and dispatches Recoome,
Burter, and Jaice. When fighting Captain Ginyu, Goku has his body switched into Captain Ginyu's. After
more fighting, Goku gets his body back. Then, Ginyu tries to swap bodies with Vegeta, but Goku throws a
frog in his path and Ginyu is turned into a frog. Then the fight against Freeza takes place. Freeza goes
through 3 transformations to reach his perfect form. In one of the battles, Klilyn is killed and Goku gets so
angry that he turns into his Super Saiyan form for the first time. He severely beats Frieza, but Namek is
about to blow up. The Dragonballs are used to wish every back who died as a result of Frieza. Then,
everyone on Namek except Frieza and Goku are teleported to Earth with another wish. Namek blows up
and everyone thinks Goku is dead, but Goku goes to planet Yardat and learns the ability to teleport.
Meanwhile, Freeza?s father, King Cold learns about Freeza?s defeat and sends minions out to reassemble
Freeza?s body. Freeza tells his father about Goku but Cold doesn?t believe him and still thinks that he is the
universe?s strongest warrior.

Freeza, Cold, and their henchmen land on earth and seek revenge and to destroy Earth. Suddenly, an adult
Trunks appears out of nowhere, turns Super Saiyan, and annihilates the adversaries. Trunks tells Goku that
he is Vegeta and Bulma?s future son and that he was sent back in time with a medicine to prevent Goku?s
death so that the future is not in chaos. He also tells of the androids that will appear in three years and
everyone vows to train hard until then.
