We've taken Chat, Message Boards & Classified Ads and integrated them with your Web site.
This gives Published sites the advantage of showing these applications ad-free, or showing their own ads, and makes these applications have the same look as your site.
6/15/2005 New Template Selector (including Static Templates)
NEW TEMPLATE SELECTOR-- Static Templates are Templates that have prepositioned objects defined either as Template Properties or as pre-inserted Shorthand Links in the Template HTML. Static Templates differ from Freeform Templates in that content/data (text/HTML) is free to flow within the confines of the Template cells. For example, text/HTML content in Static Templates will "rewrap" itself when the browser window is resized. In Freeform Templates text/HTML content is stored in absolutely positioned and dimensioned containers that do not resize when the browser window is resized. In most cases, there is a Static Template that corresponds in style for every Freeform Template. Hence, as with Freeform Templates, there are literally millions of possible Static Templates available.
IMPORTANT-- Many Static Templates use a special Body Style slot to contain Text/HTML fields and Images. There are hundreds of different Body Style configurations, so you can re-layout your Template by choosing a different Body Style.
4/05/2005 Thousands of Freeform Templates!
FREEFORM TEMPLATES-- Freeform Templates allow you to insert, move and resize objects on a canvas/backdrop. Objects include text/HTML boxes, fields, headings, titles, subtitles, panels, images, menus, forms, polls, and more. In addition, there are the specialty objects called Maxlets. The range of available Maxlets is vast! There are Maxlets for board games, puzzles, coloring books, action and arcade games, novelties, language translators, calculators, clocks and timers, panel boxes, scalable text, awards, special effects, images, menus, tools, graphs, paint programs, Java Applets, mail friend links, site links, buttons, banners, boxes, frames, and much more! All objects and Maxlets can be moved on the screen using the left-mouse button and customized using the right-mouse button. Many objects and Maxlets can be dynamically resized by grabbing the bottom-right corner of the object with the left-mouse button.
IMPORTANT-- All Templates can be customized to change dimensions, styles, colors, images, backdrops, and HTML. Once you start customizing, the range of possibilities is virtually endless! By changing colors alone, you can create millions of different looking Templates. Adding changes to images, effects, dimensions, styles, or Template HTML you can produce literally billions of different possibilities. Now multiply that number by 1000.....
3/11/2005 Object Styles
OBJECT STYLES-- Object Styles define the appearance of Text-HTML and Image Objects. Every Text/HTML object and every Image Object has a style. However, particular objects may inherit their style from a Page Template. Page Templates often define styles for whole classes of objects: Panels, Text/HTML Boxes, Titles, Subtitles, Headings, or Images. Style defines container shape (Plain Pipe, Simple Border, etc.), a color/image set for Text/HTML, Background and Border, and a collection of Font choices.
IMPORTANT-- Styles for Text-HTML and Image object classes are defined in Page Templates. To change style for an object class, Edit the Page Template. (Of course, you can always change style for an individual object instance. But it is much more powerful to use styles defined in the Page Template since these styles apply to object classes.) Typically, a style consists of sets of properties for Frame/Container and Content/Data. For example,

IMPORTANT-- to change style for a class of objects,
change the style for the class in the Page Template. The Page Template defines style for Panels, Text-HTML Boxes, Titles, Subtitles, Headings and Images. Setting style in the Page Template establishes style for all objects of a given class. If you want to change style for a single instance of an object, simply customize the object and select a new style. If you don't see a style you like, you can always create a custom style by clicking Customize.

Create a site and click Maxlets or click Insert Maxlet to see the full range of new Maxlets available. Don't forget that many Maxlets are resizable and can be customized!

Whenever you create a site using one of our Templates, we automatically create a custom version of the Template for you.
For those who already have created Web sites, simply click the Customize option for your Template and give it a name. Until you have a custom Template, you can't see the full power of our Template system.
Design Tip. Once you have a Custom Template you can rearrange your layout in hundreds of ways using our Body Styles.
