What is a Calendar?

A calendar is a graphical presentation of a "wall calendar" which displays on your site. You can customize the days of the month to show your own schedule of events or other information.

Creating Calendars

To create a new calendar or modify an existing calendar click Calendars at the top the Site Editor. From the Calendars page you can also view and update your calendars. The Calendar Designer lets you customize the presentation of your calendar. Use the Base Calendar selector to specify what type of holidays or other special days you want displayed automatically in your calendar.

Setting events in a Calendar

To set events in one of your calendars click Set Events in the Calendar Designer. On the Set Events presentation of the calendar, click the day you want to change. Fill out the resulting form and click Update Event.

Placing a Calendar onto a Page

To insert manually you must add a shorthand link to your field text or maxlet HTML. The format of the shorthand link you will need is shown below:

~calendarembed_calendarname~

For example, if you have created a calendar named "upcomingevents" and you want to display it on one of your pages add the following to your field text or maxlet HTML:

~calendarembed_upcomingevents~
